Hops and Habanas

A dizzying array of beers! Actually it’s not too bad. The selection or beer is sourced from the all over the globe, but it’s all arranged well, with shelves spaced wide enough for comfortable browsing. Compare this to some liquor stores in NYC or NJ where they make coach class airline seating look luxurious, they could easily pack in twice the merchandise for the square footage. Great selection of beers on draft as well.
There is a peculiarity in the back I must mention. They’ve decided to construct a large cage, which patrons must sit inside. I’ve never drank beer in a large cage, but it did make me get in touch with my inner primate. The sophisticated chimp experience, as there are nice cast iron chairs and circular tables to conversate on, whichever language you decide, human or primate.

Great cigars stuff that’s not sold in Mississippi otherwise went there today and smoked a nice little cigar on There cabana fans where nice TVS on the wall I don’t drink a lot but I love a cigar almost everyday. when I smoke i tend to stick to the same brands but i do like variety and trying new things great stuff in this shop great cabana greatness in a shop to be honest I can’t rate there’s hops but there cigars and cabana are great. would stop in more but I live in Madison and its about a thirty minute drive so I go there when I’m in the area like at rooster across the street I recommend both

On a hunt for craft beer in Jackson — Unilocal told me this would be the best place… well Unilocal said the location in Madison would be, but I luckily remembered this location next to Fondren Public — so I headed over to get my craft beer fix.
First let me start off with the fact that the staff was SUPER helpful. I asked him to point out some Mississippi beers as I’d be packing them up and taking them home to share some brews we don’t get back in South Florida. He LITERALLY explained every single beer they had that was local. He explained his favorites, described the characteristics and then handed me an empty 6 pack case to create my own. Great dude — but totally forgot his name!
You can do singles of virtually any brew in the store. Just snap one off and create your own six-​pack.
They also have some taps — and serve pints and growlers. And of course they have a nice selection of cigars — if you are into those… I stuck with just beer.
Overall my haul was pretty nice. I have yet to crack any open — but I look forward to having a taste of Mississippi this weekend — from the comfort of my couch.
