Please go here if you ever get the opportunity! This beautiful old theater has been restored, and it really makes the movie-​going experience something special. We take our kids there, from time to time; when we are visiting the area. Watching a movie from the balcony in such an ornate setting gives you the feeling of an by-​gone era! The incredibly reasonable ticket and snack prices are just the icing on the cake!

Gorgeous theatre in Downtown Jackson! Balcony, beer, great classics. and well deserving newbee’s are all huge features. If you find yourself downtown stop by the doors and check the times — free movies and childrens specials run monthly! This is the way Movies should be shown.

We saw the Rocky Horror Picture Show here. It’s a beautiful old theatre from 1930, run by a nonprofit corporation. Seats 1500, with a balcony, giant medallions on the ceiling, ladies’ and gentlemens’ lounge on the second floor, stained glass light fixtures, giant marquee, etc. The place is a little shopworn in places (a little plaster shows on the ceiling; a few threadbare carpet patches) but it’s in great shape for a theatre this old.
The staff is very friendly. In addition to Rocky screenings once a month they show classic old movies here, concerts, etc.
