Chicken Parmesan was fantastic. This is one of their most popular dishes and I can see why. I had a side of lasagna which was only about average. Service was good and overall the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

Had a Valentine’s dinner today at Old Town Spaghetti Store. Atmosphere was good. Lasagna and veal parmesan was ok. Very disappointed in the cannoli as it was obvious it was made ahead of time and was soggy through and through. Cannolis should be made fresh.

I really wanted to love this place but sadly I cant. So I went in for lunch expecting maybe a 4 out of 5. What I got was a solid 3. I had their lunch special of Cajun chicken with Linguine and Alfredo sauce. The side choice was house salad or soup. I chose coup beef and vegetable. The soup was ok but a lot of canned vegetables. The bread was served with two types of butter one was butter with garlic salt sprinkled on top. The bread was over cooked. The pasta dish came out with a chicken cutlet. If that was a breast that chicken was not through puberty yet. The Cajun seasoning was just sprinkled on top of the cutlet and it was dry. What I thought I was getting was maybe a Cajun Alfredo sauce. Maybe this is my fault for just assuming but the Alfredo was straight out of can, jar or bag. The pasta was overdone as well. I am not saying it has to have a bite but this pasta needed some Viagra or something. The service was fine but I don’t see myself coming back based in the food. Also I looked at dinner prices and wow they are very high priced for the quality. For lunch I think they are fairly prices but I would pay a few more bucks for better food.

I have some family local, and this restaurant came highly recommended. Needless to say, their recommendations will be taken with a grain of salt in the future. I ordered the Deluxe Baked Ziti because it looked delectable in the photo. Looks can be deceiving. The top layer, which was similar to a pizza, was okay. But, the ziti was not at all good. The red sauce was watery and bland, and the dish didn’t seem baked at all. Service was okay, considering we had 17 in our party. The atmosphere was similar to an Olive Garden. Overall, I’ll quote Unilocal and say it was«OK», but not deserving of a higher than average rating.

Absolutely spectacular every time we come. We have made this place our special date night. The food makes Olive Garden look like Taco Bell and the atmosphere is always perfect. The staff are extremist friendly and always above expectations!!! Highly recommend!

We go to this restaurant every now and then when others are to crowded. They have recently changed their menu and raised prices. The food has always been just ok and this experience was no different. My wife ordered water with extra lemon. They refused extra lemon, stating they could bring her a bowl of them for $ 1. I laughed in the waiters face, thinking he was joking. But it’s on the menu ha! We won’t be going back anytime soon.

The food was warm and great. Our server was really professional and pleasant. It was clean and had A great atmosphere. I love the warm bread and butter. Beer was kinda pricey at $ 4 A bottle. But the food made up for it.

Theres nothing old town or spaghetti about this place. When you arrive at a restaurant and its full, you think the place is great. You can even look past the over done American interpretation of I-talian restaurant«décor»(pretty sure most places dont need to spell spaghetti or ziti on the walls in giant letters or put italian product boxes all over to convince you they are authentic). The bread arrives and its not bad, so your hopes are high. You see dishes go by and from afar, everything looks right, so you order. Appetizers come. Fried Ravioli and cheese sticks. Im going to guess provided by Sysco food trucks. They are so-so. As you look at the menu, you are happy when you see an italian joint that offers pasta combos like you can get some lasagna with a side of spaghetti or alfredo. You think to yourself, SCORE, who doesnt love good pasta, and double up on your faves, this is a win. First red flag goes up when you are asked if you want to «upgrade» your salad to a house salad. Wait, what?! Upgrade to a house salad. Every single other restaurant in the history of man, the house salad is the starting point. You say yes and its $ 1.00 more for 3 cherry tomatoes, 2 slices of cucumber and some croutons. Screams to me their food manager doesn’t know how to price out like 99.9% of the rest of the restaurants that exist. Then your meal of lasagna and a side of alfredo arrives. Someone else at your table has chicken marsala. All the sauces have this photoshopped look of pure sheen on them. It doesnt look right. You know its sat under a heat lamp and started to skin over. What good italian sauce does that? First bite of the lasagna. You notice just how fast the fork takes a piece off the cut. The noodles are slightly over done, par for the course for most places. First bite, I think they forgot the flavor. Bland, watery sauce, no richness — Chef Boy’Arde out of can packs more flavor. Your bite of that glossed over matte finished alfredo fettucine? Flour and something, but less flavor than the lasagna. Almost no flavor. You look around to see who else in the joint has either of these on their plates, you cant find anyone. Do they know something I don’t? Did I miss some dish this place is known for? The food was terrible. No flavor. None. I say skip this joint no matter how long its been in town. It makes Olive Garden look like an epiphany. Gross.

Old Town Spaghetti Store, oh how I love thee. This place has been my go-to Italian Restaurant for years and years. I usually stick with the same two main dishes. Baked ziti or Chicken Piccata. The Chicken Piccata is sooo good. The lemony is not overpowering and the sauce is just overall well balanced. It’s never too runny either. The baked ziti has all kinds of goodies in one package… Pepperoni, olives, peppers, onions, meat sauce and lots of gooey cheesy. So good! I can’t leave out the bread… The flavor is great and they’ll keep it coming. Lastly, you have to get a cannoli… I mean, why not?

Second time to stop here. Wanted to give it a second try. Still not impressed. The fried zucchini was ok but a little greasy. I ordered a salad. Do you charge extra for tomatoes and cheese? Last time I was here they charged me a $ 1 up charge. I had the cheese toasted ravioli. It was good but WAY to salty. My husband had the lasagne. Said it was great for Stouffers and that my homemade was so much better. Thanks sweetie!!! Anyway, you take your chances when coming here. Bread with the garlic butter was good.

Quick Italian food for a good price. Recent renovations create a new and fresh look that still maintains an atmosphere that has long existed in this location. This has been a longtime favorite in the Jackson area for a good reason and holds up well against the Baudo’s reputation. They usually have food and drink specials everyday and the home baked bread is always a plus. They need to improve the salad/vegetarian options and work on consistency with the lasagna. This is one of my Jackson, TN favorites.

Great non chain Italian place to stop in Jackson. It has that Classic Italian atmosphere and friendly great service. The food is priced accurately for the quality of food. Everything we had was good. I had the chicken piccata which was good but too much butter sauce. I would recommend them to go light on the sauce. My friend had the spinach chicken florentine and thought it was good. Huge portion recommend splitting it for sure! Bread is hot and delicious and they have a nice garlic butter and regular butter both good. We had chocolate crunch pie which is awesome and fabulous for sure we highly recommend it is hot and gooey and big dip of icecream! Yummy!

Old Town Spaghetti Store is a Jackson favorite. Their staff makes sure you have a great time. My personal favorite is the to-go order process. You can phone in your order and drive up and someone meets you in your car; you never have to leave.(Which is great when it’s so hot outside or a monsoon is falling from the sky like typical Jackson weather!) The food is great. My personal favorite is the lasagna-Yum! Spaghetti is good to.

This is my go-to place when I am in Jackson for lunch or dinner. I stopped here with my female family members after a Girl’s Weekend in Memphis while heading back to Nashville. After lots of good eating in Memphis, I decided to keep it light and order the vegetable beef soup. Sadly, I have no nice words about the soup. It was a bit on the oily/greasy side, and the beef was mostly fat. I barely ate half the bowl. I’ll remember this next time, because everything else I’ve ever had here is pretty good. The service is always good, and the ambiance is nice. There’s a wide variety of dishes offered. I just happened to choose one of the few bad ones on my last visit.

We wanted to like it here. Really we did. But ended up having one of the worst customer service experiences of our lives. We entered the evening, using a SnagMob deal Old Town was offering. Immediately after being seated, we checked with our wait staff to make sure she knew we had the coupon that was pulled up on our mobile phone screen and were planning to use it. She cheerfully said, ‘Of course! yes. We will honor this. I will use it at the end when your check comes.“ We order. We eat.(The food was average. Decent Italian for Jackson, but nothing you can’t find at Olive Garden… if you want more unique Italian, go across the street to Bessos). When we are 2⁄3 the way done with our entrees, the wait staff returns to our table and informs us she cannot honor the coupon, unless we provide a printed copy of the coupon. Clearly, we did not have a printed copy, and were very surprised to find out we needed one. We therefore, politely asked if we could email our coupon to them, or even borrow their printer to print it out. She wasn’t sure if this was possible, and got the shift manager.(The wait staff was extremely pleasant, and acknowledged she made an honest mistake). This is where things got bad. The manager was extremely unwilling to help. He rejected our solution of emailing them the coupon or them printing it off for us. He refused to compromise. He refused to acknowledge that their staff had approved and confirmed we could use the coupon before we had ordered our meal that evening. He refused to offer any solution We stayed calm, but were very frustrated with his unwillingness to come to a solution. He very rudely said, «What’s the matter guys. You don’t have enough money to pay for this meal? You can’t just pay for your whole meal this time and use the coupon next time?» We were shocked at how accusatory he was. Eventually, we were forced to pay(with cash) for the whole meal, go find a printer outside of the restaurant(we had to pay $ 3 to print the coupon at FedEx), and return the same evening for them to validate it. Overall, the experience was completely unprofessional and rude. We will never be returning to the establishment and will discourage others to do the same.

This place was wonderful. I took my family here because we wanted a break from fast food and what a wonderful turn out it was. The restaurant has a warm friendly feeling and the staff was very helpful. All the food was fresh and the baked ziti was amazing. The prices were very affordable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I wasn’t sure how Italian would be in Tennessee… and there weren’t too many reviews yet on Unilocal for me to decide which restaurant to choose; but I went here anyway. The food was very good! I ordered the Baked Ziti… oh my gosh, it was awesome! Better than I had expected… it had a nice salad with it for starters. As a solo diner, I ate in the bar area. And that was totally fine… full service in there too. I did arrive late, around 9:30pm and closing was at 10pm. But Shelby was a great server, and very friendly. I could not believe that my bottle of Blue Moon beer was only $ 3.75! That was awesome… seems like I definitely pay more for that on the West Coast. But the food was also a great value. Good place!

Customer Service and Charm seem to be the two things going for this place. Stopped in on the way to Memphis and found this place to have a lot of both. The food itself seemed average, but not bad. They give you heaping amounts of bread though so you don’t go away hungry. The staff is fantastically polite and its unlikely you’d go without a refill should you desire one. I would certainly stop in again if I was heading this way.
