The food was ok, the restaurant looked cool but the service was horrible. We sat at the bar last night and the bartender Robert killed our vibe. He made us feel like we were a inconvenience to him despite the place not being super busy. He kept giving us smart comments when we asked a few easy questions about the restaurant specialties.

Spotty food, spotty service. I’ve come here and had great, and i’ve come and had bad. I wish I knew how to tell what will be a good night from a bad. When it’s good, it’s great! When it’s bad… I wish I went to a truck stop for dinner. No matter how the food or service, the drinks are always great!!!

I have been to Blind Rabbit a few times but my experience yesterday was far from satisfactory. My friend & I came in late in the evening for a bite to eat at the bar. We were greeted by one of the bartenders pretty quickly. They must have been in the middle of shift change because the other male bartender was counting out the tips in the jar. Ok, no problem, I have worked in the service industry for several years, both serving and bartending. My problem came when they were cussing every other word and talking loudly about how they each made $ 204. I understand it’s the beaches but have a little more common courtesy then to drop the F bomb literally every other word. I don’t even have the cleanest mouth in the world and even I was get offended and annoyed. They were also laughing and saying how they felt bad for one of the servers because she had been sat back to back with a certain race that I guess they didn’t think would tip well. Again, everyone is entitled to their opinion but when I as a customer can hear you talking bad about other customers in the restaurant it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. My second problem came when I ordered the classic cheeseburger and was asked how I wanted it cooked and I said lightly pink in the middle. He said medium well? I said whatever is considered lightly pink. He looked at me like I was an idiot and couldn’t comprehend what I was saying. Every restaurant’s temperature is different which is why I was specific on how I wanted it but he just didn’t get it. After we got through the whole temperature issue he asks me if I want the burger split and right before I could answer him he literally just walks away and starts talking to this guy who had just sat down a couple seats from me. From their conversation I am guessing it was someone he knew. I just looked at my friend and was like UM. OK? did that really just happen… no big deal we are just in the middle of ordering and you just walk away to talk to another customer. beyond RUDE! As far as the food, the Classic Cheeseburger which included wainwright Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Homemade Bread & Butter Pickles, Mayonnaise on a Brioche Bun was just OK. My burger almost had a burnt taste to it on the ends and had no pink in it whatsoever. It came with a ton of fries which were pretty good. Overall, would I come back again? Probably not mainly because of the lack of customer service.

Was down in Jax Beach visiting friends and family. This place came Highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. I got the Southern Burger, with the goat cheese grits. Great favors, and probably one of the best burger’s I’ve ever had. Burger was the perfect temp(medium), topped with a spicy sauce, and 2 fried green tomatoes. Plus the Grits were thick and flavorful. I will have to check this place out again when I’m back in the area. I need to try one of those milkshakes in the future.

It’s the only place I can go to eat a good meal when I get off work late. And the food is so so so so good. I like sitting at the bar but I haven’t had a bad experience here yet.

A group of us went mid-week for dinner and there were very few customers occupying tables. The ambiance is lacking, the place is dark, and the floor isn’t the cleanest. But, I guess for a place that specializes in burgers and beverages, none of that really matters. We started with the Gorgonzola chips. These were good. Crispy potato chips were drizzled with a balsamic glaze and topped with a hefty helping of Gorgonzola cheese and chives. The fried green tomatoes thick slices that were breaded well. They were accompanied by tomato salsa and goat cheese, but the peach habanero sauce dominated the entire flavor profile. I got the BBQ bacon burger($ 6) with hand cut fries. I figured that this would be a safe choice, and it was. Fried onion straws, bacon, cheese, and BBQ sauce on a burger. It wasn’t very creative, it wasn’t amazing, but it was good. The fries were nicely sliced and fried. I also tasted the waitress’ suggestion for the side –macaroni and cheese. It lacked any seasoning. I love rocky road everything. So, when I saw they had a milkshake($ 6), I ordered it — vanilla ice cream with chocolate ganache, housemade marshmallow, walnuts, pecans, almonds, and topped with small chocolate chips. This was disappointing. It basically tasted like a very thin chocolate milkshake that took a lot of effort to enjoy, as the nuts kept getting stuck in the straw. Service was decent. However, our waitress was more concerned about continuing to refill drinks than about taking our order. So, we were there longer than we expected. Bottom line — 3 stars for bar/pub food

OMGOMG, the food was outstanding!!! We went in around 130pm and we must have missed the crowd. We were able to sit down with no wait. The dem restaurant with rock music in the back ground set the tone for a great lunch. I enjoyed my $ 12 whiskey flat… The food was fresh and delicious. I recommend you go check them out!!! I will definitely be a regular there!

The absolute worst experience I’ve had at an establishment, ever. Parking is atrocious. Seriously. There’s parking on this concrete deck that had huge puddles or stagnant water in any empty spot left. Bear in mine that most people don’t know how to park correctly, so you WILL need mad skills to park in said leftover spots(or probably any of these spots). I opted to take the least horrible of three. It was between the wall/fence and a gigantic monster truck. Three turns in and three turns out, baby! Thank you, Portland and Seattle for honing my parking and maneuvering skills! I digress. The only thing good about this place is the mural inside the bar. Oh, and if you are a guy, I suppose the scantily clad 18 – 21 year-old girls that«work» there. By work I mean stand at the counter and be useless. My friend and I were seated and watched at least 5 tables around us eat and leave. Silver lining, I got to practice screaming a conversation to my friend sitting directly across from me. I memorized their menu since it took so long to get our order taken. Then the«server» just disappeared. Bear in mind we were on vacation and my friend’s patience is just a tad thicker than mine. So against better judgment, we sat and waited, and waited, and waited. Dude. She ordered I think a soup or something simple that you know they had sitting in a vat in the back, and I ordered a burger. We all know how long that takes to throw on a plate and walk 30 steps to our booth. Once the food FINALLY came, I’d say an hour and a half had passed. I’m not even kidding. Surprise, surprise… There were smudges all over her bowl and I didn’t even bother looking at my plate. We were both so livid and at that point I’d asked to speak to the manager, which I was told there was no manager there that night(right). This was not our«server», btw. She just vanished into the night after waiting 30 minutes to take our order. This was some other girl. So after I asked again to speak to whoever is in charge, she told me they’d be out shortly. Ten, fifteen minutes go by, and we ended up leaving. There’s nothing like hearing good things about a place, really looking forward to what’s on their menu, then having an experience like this one. Worst service, ever.

I normally go to the King Street location but I was by the beach and found this location. This location is much larger than the king street location. There is a lot more room, tables and lighting. I had a burger, goat cheese grits and some waffles that were a special that night. The burger was good and the waffles were phenomenal. Waffles were light and fluffy, the caramel syrup was rich and flavorful and the coconut ice cream was delicious. The service was ok. It could have been better. I went on a week night with some friends and our server was slow. It took some time to get our order in, drinks to arrive and paying our bill. I didn’t understand why we had to wait so long for all of this when there were a handful of people in the restaurant. There was ample parking. It’s located in a strip mall with a large parking lot. The menu is the same as the King Street location except for the specials.

Went here on a Saturday evening and had an amazing BBQ Bacon Burger. As expected, the Applewood bacon was divine, and I loved the little strips of crispy fried onions! The food also came with a side, and my potato salad was actually surprisingly fresh and very obviously housemade. You won’t find generic potato salad here. My friend got the classic cheeseburger, medium, and the garlic smashed potatoes. I love that their options for sides are more extensive than either a side salad or fries, and you could tell that the sides were made well, not just an afterthought to the burger. Much appreciated. Our bartender/server was super friendly and offered suggestions for our drinks. We went with the local beers on tap to round off our meal. The only thing I didn’t like about the place was the environment itself. The bar lighting was white which I found awkward and much too bright for a Saturday evening. But that’s just me being nitpicky. Great burgers, beer, and service!

Atmosphere: This place has an industrial vibe with a good size bar and high tops in the bar area along with regular dining tables in the main restaurant area. The bar area was more popular compared to the main dining area which seemed bare both times we went. It’s almost like they’re two different spaces, very divided. Maybe that’s the goal though. The service is good; no complaints there. Clean and good for both lunch, dinner and late night pit stop. We went for lunch and for late night drinks at the bar. Service/food: The service was good, friendly, and our food brought out very quickly. The food — I had a portabello sandwich with side salad(picture). Great size sandwich with a deliciously marinated mushroom. Goat cheese is the restaurant THING! It’s on everything(which we loved, but a heads up if you don’t. I’m sure you can request to hold it off). The fried green tomatoes we both beautifully presented and delicious! So good we got them twice! See picture. The side salad even impressed me as it’s more than iceberg lettuce with tomatoes and packaged croutons. It had more substance than that and came with citrus vinaigrette. My friend had the fish tacos which were also very good, ample fish portion and a side salad. Cocktails: If you need one reason to go, go for the unique cocktails. Maybe with a lot of TLC as we watched the bartenders make the concoctions from the bar. It’s a WHISKEY house but don’t shy away if that’s not your medicine of choice… it’s not mine either and I found two drinks I really liked that didn’t slapped me in the face with the a-typical whiskey flavor — one was the Blackberry Lemonade that had just the right mix of tang and bite. Call it a chick drink if you want, but it was tasty and that’s all that mattered. My husband got the Pumpkin Old Fashion and said it wasn’t great, but the regular Old Fashion was much better. Their selection of spirits wasn’t limited to just whiskey, they had beer and many other spirits also. Why I’d go back… for another appetizer of fried green tomatoes and some whiskey lemonade. Yum.

The food was okay… I ordered a chicken sandwich, grilled. the piece of chicken had a lot of tendon type feeling pieces to it, otherwise good enough to satisfy me for a lunch trip. A friend and I aplit our meal, it also was came with fries. The fries were delicious! I will say I like the dark atmosphere quite a bit, the staff is friendly and attentive and I would most certainly recommend to a friend.

I love going to a restaurant where I can tell the kitchen staff loves what they do and takes pride in sending out dishes that are tasty and beautiful. I used Unilocal while visiting the area. The blind rabbit is literally on the beaches of Jacksonville. Unilocal did NOT let me down for this place. The menu has a lot of choices to chose from and everything is done with a modernized twist, nothing here is just basic. The blind rabbit is definitely a «foodie paradise» the service was a little slow with refilling drinks and checking up on us but I think it was due to a lot of questions the patrons have with the ecliptic-creative menu and drink specials. Before paying the $ 5.00 find the«free» restaurant parking through the tunnel of the building, it was too late for us by the time we noticed it, oh well! Food network star meets modernized old school dishes! Check this place out while in town for sure! I recommend the blind rabbit! Enjoy!

Went with family and ordered the Gorgonzola chips. I wasn’t fond of them but everyone else loved them– they have a strong balsamic sauce and lots of cheese! The burgers were all great and cooked the way we ordered and they gave us huuuuge portions of fries. Overall it was a good experience, casual environment, reasonable prices, and neat artwork on the walls. Also Wednesday is happy hour all night ;)

I’d already been to the Riverside location several times and I was waiting for my opportunity to go to the Jax Beach location. It finally came to be when my friend tagged me in a post about they’re new weekend brunch menu. I love brunch and I was very happy to see that they would be having it on both Saturday and Sunday. So we made plans to meet up at the beach mid-Saturday. Beaches parking, beaches parking… it is what it is. We both managed to find spots relatively close to the place along 3rd St. Walking in, it seemed pretty dark to me but that didn’t deter me. We sat on the side with the graphic on the Blind Rabbit on the wall and looked over the menu. The first thing we decided on was the dranks hahaha. I went all out and ordered the St. Germain carafe: mixed berries, St. Germain Elderflower, Sparkling Wine, and Club Soda. The carafe is pretty big but I knew I’d be there for awhile. It was pretty good but I think too much ice was used and it left my drink watered down. My friend had bottomless mimosas and she may have made it to 3.5 glasses. We decided to share 2 starters and order separate entrees. I had to get the Bacon Bourbon Deviled Eggs and she wanted the Fried Green Tomatoes. I’m not a big fried green tomato fan but these were very good. The deviled eggs were the winner in my opinion. So much flavor was going on in the filling that the mustard and the balsamic vinegar on the plate just became part of the presentation. For our entrees, I ordered the Pork Belly & Eggs: Pan Seared Pork Belly, Goat Cheese Grits, Sunny Side Eggs, and Red Eye Gravy. The only thing I had never had before was the red eye gravy, in fact, I had to Google it. Turns out it’s gravy with black coffee mixed in. Hmmm, that’s an interesting taste. I like it. My friend ordered their famous Shrimp & Grits and while she was not a fan of the cumin spice that they used, she still liked it. The weekend brunch is at both locations so go check it out!

Nice cool atmosphere, service was top. Really great art work all over. Mural is amazing. We ordered fried green tomatoes which were the best I’ve ever had. Next was fish tacos which minus too much salt were really good. Overall I give this four stars, would be five but there was a bit too much salt on fish tacos.

Everyone’s burger was so good and the service was quick and friendly. We ordered the BBQ burger, the old fashioned and the southern one!

First time here and an enjoyable time. Good burgers: I had the BBQ Bacon Burger and it was cooked a solid medium rare as I’d asked, the bacon was cooked perfectly, which means it wasn’t burnt(not my thing) and the grainy mustard was a nice compliment to the other flavors. Juicy beef, flavorful and well seasoned. The brioche bun is so fluffy and good, you just can’t help but enjoy yourself. My wife had the regular cheeseburger and it was a good burger. The beef is juicy and flavorful with good seasoning. Her burger preference is a bit on the plain side, so no pickles or tomato etc. but she sure enjoyed her food as well, and the fries are nicely seasoned with sea salt. Drinks: I had a spiked bacon maple bacon shake(take that heart!) and though my wife and our friend didn’t like it, I really did. It reminded me of butter pecan ice cream but with whiskey in it and I dug it. My wife had a blackberry lemonade and it was delicious. She’s not a whiskey fan like I am, but the drink was so well mixed and do balanced that it was smooth and very drinkable. Our friend had a s’mores spiked milkshake and it was darned tasty. We had an appetizer of homemade potato chips with Gorgonzola cheese and balsamic glaze and it was tasty too. This is an appetizer if you really like bleu cheese only. If that isn’t your thing then I’d suggest against it, because it’s really quite pungent. It’s a bit on the pricy side, but a good time. I’ll likely come back.

Still pretty good. The burgers are very tasty and different; I love the toppings and experimental mixing of flavors… But that punch still want there for me. Though the burger was cooked perfect, and I loved the gouda cheese/bacon/coleslaw mix, there want enough seasoning to each individual topping to make it whole. The coleslaw was perfectly made, not too much dressing, however a little pepper could have taken it a long way. I also tried the«bourbon Creole mustard» with my roots… this should NOT be called a mustard, because it is literally 80% mayonnaise with mustard seed in it. My date had the Blues Burger, and it was delicious: No suggestions on this one. As a lover of blue cheese, this was sooo good. However, service was friendly and knowledgeable. Our waiter seemed to love working there and had only great suggestions for us this time around. Atmosphere and décor is fun; the place feels very intimate even though ity can be packed with people. They seat bigger crowds on one side and couples by the bar which I personally love. Try their whiskey cherry cocktail; it’ll knock your socks off! It’s like a deadly kiss.

I came here with a big group on Saturday for dinner. This place was very crowded but we didn’t have to wait for a long time to be seated. I think it’s hit or miss with their menu items. Their chips are from another world — so delicious. However, I feel you need to share them otherwise you would get sick of them. I also had their tacos and that was a miss since they were so spicy you couldn’t taste any of the ingredients. Nonetheless the side of mac-N-cheese that came with it was heavenly. The pork and oyster sandwich — a major hit — was such a clever combination I wouldn’t have ordered myself but I’m so glad for adventurous friends… Despite the noise level and our big group, the service was great. I have to say we had to wait about 20 minutes after we placed our order but everybody got food at the same time without any errors. The décor is non existent but that’s pretty much anywhere at the beach in Jax. I would definitely recommend Blind Rabbit for a big party.
