Burger Pounder

Pounders Burgers was at Capital Plaza today and decided to try them out. This truck is owned by the same couple that owns the Up-​In Smoke trucks. Menu was small and simple and prices for burger and fries ranged from $ 8-​$ 10. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger was pretty average and the fries were normal square cut fries. Overall the meal was okay but nothing special and definitely did not live up to their Up-​In Smoke trucks which in my opinion has some of the best BBQ in Jacksonville.

One sharp looking ride came out to play today. The Burger Pounder Truck made their debut today. Talk about getting slung into the fire on your first day. One Spark just might be the busiest week of the year and you debut a new truck n crew. he menu was small and plain. 3 Different burgers the pounder, the ground pounder (with bacon) and the spark burger. I chose the Ground Pounder which was a 1/​3lb burger with baby spinach, tomato, onions, cheese. The burger was cooked a little on the over side for me. I’m a real mid-​rare kind of guy. But, John J public would freak if you handed them a mid-​rare burger these days. The burger did come with some yummy fries and I ate a lot of them and I’m not a big fries kind of guy. I was talking to the owners and they have a few things to work out but they are really minor cosmetic things. This is a beautiful truck and is decked out with some very cool surfboards and a paint job from well let’s say down under. I will return to this truck and eat again.
