Rack’em Up Billiards II

Nice happy hour. Bartender Aaron was fast and friendly. Unlike most sports bars it was very clean and smelled great, even though smoking is allowed.

One of the «better» bars here in the Mandarin area. If you are still wondering on why I rated this bar two-​stars, read on. I honestly gave this bar a «shot» (three if you want to get technical), no pun intended.
I just moved into the area and wanted to check out the surroundings. I’ve been to a couple others in the Mandarin area, and this one is actually one of the more decent ones in the area. If you enjoy hookahs, they have some here. The bar appears to be well-​stocked and a decent selection of beer. Throughout the week, they have maybe two days worth of good happy hour specials. Of course, as you may have already read in the other reviews, this establishment does allow smoking inside. The smoke wasn’t overpowering and tolerable during the weekdays. I couldn’t tell you on how it would be when it’s actually busy.
Now, for the cons. The service is poor. I wouldn’t say it’s terrible (that spot is already taken). The bartenders have their own agenda and act like it is an inconvenience to serve you. I would have rated this bar three-​stars if it weren’t for the fact that either the bartenders cannot count, or just simply try to overcharge you on tabs. Sorry, three $ 3.75 beers and two $ 5.00 beers do not equal to $ 24.00.

$ 15/​hr on a Sat afternoon for ½ hr of pool for myself wife and sis in law. One the fling and 2 juices was $ 23. Ridiculous. I already promised so was kind of stuck. Only a few patrons but the place reals of smoke at all times of day as I don’t think they have a single smoke eater. Are better options.

Good place to watch the games with all the TV’s. Hookah’s are cool, but also allow cig smoking. You’ll enjoy yourself and smell like smoke for 2 days.

I had a blast Saturday night enjoying live music from Black Creek Rizin, a skittles flavored hookah, playing pool with friends, and enjoying my pinnacle whipped vodka with soda. This place is very busy but I would not say crowded. Their bar staff is extremely friendly and very attentive and my drinks were perfect. As we were playing pool, someone came and refreshed the coals on our hookah and another staff member came over to see if we needed any drinks and then took our empty glasses away. Mind you it’s a Saturday and most places I’ve been are nowhere near that accommodating, which is exactly why I keep coming back!

Wow. Great Saturday night. I’m not a pool player, so when suggested to go there was glad to find a pretty good old school rock band live. Good service from bartenders and good prices. Crowded but room to move.
I liked band and bar.
I didn’t like smoking in bar.

Great place for Karaōke!
It had been awhile since I was in Rack’em Up, but headed down this way for two awesome friends b-​day get together (s).
What I liked:
Nice big flat screens on the wall that show the karaōke lyrics. (And games… if you’re watching)
Lots of tables for pool players (I didn’t play this time, but maybe next visit.)
Had an ok selection of beers to choose from.
Awesome karaōke!
What I didn’t like:
Very loud, hard to have a conversation, but just kind of part of it.
Tables are kinda shoddy, we had to be very careful not to put any weight on it, after we spilled a few drinks in the process. No amount of napkins underneath the table legs seemed to do the trick.
And a heads up: They do have hookahs, but was a bit under the weather and didn’t want to even remotely chance giving anyone the funk… and you can smoke in here… it is large an airy, so the smoke doesn’t get too bad, but those that are bothered by it, you may want to pass.
