Took my girdle here for our anniversary dinner. I had the Sea Bass, she had the filet. The sea bass was good not perfect. The filets were over cooked and dry. I have been to other Ruths Chris and had unbelievable steaks, that is the reason for the four stars. May just be the Jacksonville location that left us wanting. The drinks, and service was exultant. I always give a location two visits. Savannah and Orlando locations exceeded my expectations.

I love this place! The steaks are always on point. It’s definitely a special occasion meal, as it is pricey, but the Ruth’s Classic meal deal makes it more affordable.(Soup/salad, entrée and dessert for around $ 55) Excellent wine and cocktail list. It’s right on the river with a beautiful view. The dolphins are active during the summer, and they were out to play during our meal. Magical! Our server, Cesar, was amazing and attentive, and really pleasant to interact with. Overall, this is my favorite fancy restaurant :)

Service was good. Enjoyed happy hour at Ruth Chris. I ordered crab cake and zucchini fries, spicy shrimp, harvest salad, pomegranate martini and chocolate martini. Everything was good. Service was good not excellent but good. My chocolate martini was strong. I will definitely be back.

It’s hard to beat Ruth’s Chris! The service, the staff, the attention to detail is out of this world! The food is always delicious and every visit is consistently amazing! I’ve done anniversary dinners, girls nights, and date nights here… all great! My most recent discovery is happy hour at Ruth’s Chris – OMG I’ve been missing out! Same incredible food and service at an unbeatable price! Very few(and I do mean few) could beat Ruth’s in a head to head match up! And don’t even get me started on the amazing view of the river and downtown Jacksonville!

I see what the craze is all about. The steak is the absolute best I’ve ever had. The waiter told me to get it cooked medium & that was the best advice. Definitely will be back soon for more.

Silvana from Bulgaria was our server, hence the 5 stars, while the escargot, calamari, filet mignon, Cesar salad were all excellent it was our server Silvana that was above and beyond any level of service and if I’m ever back in Jacksonville I would return and ask for her!

I took my dad here just cause he has always wanted to go! I’m not a beef eater but overall this place was awesome! Now the prices are high as everyone knows so expect a pricy bill. My dad was so happy about his meal and it looked AWESOME! The steak was def still sizzling when it came out. He said it was the best steak he has ever had. The Mac and Cheese is awesome! a def must try. I got the crab cakes which were pretty good! The service is outstanding and prob the best service I have ever had. The will explain everything to you and will help you figure out what you would like to eat. and they def don’t just go toward the expensive stuff which was really nice. They are def there to make you as happy as you can be. The dress attire which I thought would be dressy really wasn’t. I saw people with jeans and flip flops in there so it can be either way if you aren’t the type to dress up.

Located right on the magnificent St. John’s river. I took a water taxi from across the way. The service and atmosphere were old school first class. My tomato bisque soup was amazing as was my cooked to perfection AAAUSDA Prime Ribeye which was like butter. I ended my meal with a chocolate torte covered in fresh whipped cream with fresh assorted berries on the side. All that for $ 60. I have been to the best steak house in New York City and I have to say that this restaurant is as good if not better than any of them. Though not cheap, you get what you pay for here and I have no complaints.

I went here for my graduation and it was amazing! The view at our table was so beautiful and our waiter was very kind and attentive! The food no doubt was fresh, savory & all around spectacular! They definitely made me feel special as they decorated the table to honor my graduation! My family and I definitely had a night we still remember!

We always enjoy going to Ruth Chris! And when making a reservation always request to be on the window for a wonderful view! My husband and I always enjoy their wine list as well and their menu. We both had steak — after all it’s a steakhouse. And our steaks were perfectly prepared. Their lobster and macaroni was delicious as always! Love the spice in it! Only downside to Ruth Chris is it is crowded and feels crowded. They definitely squeeze the most out of the space they have which makes it hard to have an intimate dining experience. But you can’t beat the view!

I had escargot, lobster bites and a wedge salad, the food and service is usually good, last night the service was so so, the lobster bites were not as crunchy as they usually we’re, after dinner and a short walk to the room, my stomach starting cramping with a pain level of 15 For about an hour! Several hours later with help from Pepto-Bismol, my severe diarrhea stopped, I don’t know whether there was a change of management or not. I would avoid this place for quite a while.,

I went here Valentine’s 2016 about 5 pm. It was a full house of course on Lovers Day. My waiter was amazing. It took a long time to make the food approximately 30 minutes when salad was served to the entrée. I was deep in conversation so it didn’t bother me at all. The view of the Hart bridge and water was amazing when the sun finally set. We left about 7:30 wasn’t rushed by waiter to leave nice ambiance to the restaurant. Gave it 5 stars because it was expensive for 2 to eat $ 130. I had petite steak about 4 oz and 3 shrimp, side of mashed potatoes and dessert chocolate cheese cake glass of wine $ 55. He had 11oz steak, creamed spinach cheese cake and glass of wine. $ 65. It’s located inside Double tree Hilton hotel. Free self parking below hotel with signs posted park at own risk hmmm interesting.

The Hublet and I celebrated a wedding anniversary this week, and he surprised me with dinner at Ruth’s Chris. The place was packed due to a large corporate conference, but thankfully he had a reservation. My immediate impression was that the whole restaurant smelled of melted butter, which reassured me that things were going to be delicious. We were offered table or booth seating and opted for a booth(it’s more romantic doncha know). Overall, the service was impeccable. Our server provided us with the drink and food menus, brought iced water to our table and left us alone to consider things. At no point did he rush us into making a decision, he was very attentive to our table mood and gave us all the time we needed. Between the two of us, The Hublet and I enjoyed the following: Bread and butter — average. The bread came to us oven hot, but we found it too hot to touch and the crust was thick and hard to cut, even with the serrated knives on the table, without using a finger to stabilise the scorching bread. The bread itself wasn’t anything special and fairly routine. The Hublet went for a Classic Mule and thoroughly enjoyed it. I worked my way through a couple of Raspberry Rosemary Cosmos and found them to be excellent. Calamari appetizer — superb. The coating was light and crunchy, the lemon wedges were a nice touch, and the diced roasted red peppers added a tasty flash of colour. Normally I can polish off a plate of this by myself, but we were advised that it would satisfy two people and they were right. The calamari wasn’t just squid rings but also included squid bodies and tentacles and was wonderful. Maine Lobster — outstanding. The Hublet decided to push the boat out and have fresh Maine Lobster for his entrée. I’d like to think that I heard crashing and screaming from the kitchen as they wrestled with the monstrous sea beast that was eventually placed in front of him. I believe I saw a manly tear of joy roll down his cheek as he put the first morsel into his mouth. He declared it to be the best lobster he’s ever had, and this guy is a seafood fiend. Ribeye Steak — very good. I ordered a Ribeye steak for my entrée, medium rare, and it arrived cooked to perfection. Bearing in mind that my previous steak experience has been with Longhorn’s, my only quibble is although the steak itself comes sitting in a pool of butter(which would make anything delicious), I didn’t get any real flavour from the meat itself. Maybe the searing process elsewhere imparts a stronger flavour to the exterior, maybe I’m a barbarian, truthfully I don’t know as I’m not a chef and am not sure how these things should be properly done. Don’t get me wrong, it was an excellent steak, and cut beautifully as it was superbly tender, but somehow it wasn’t quite tasty enough for my apparently barbaric taste-buds. For me, a butter bath does not a good steak make and my benchmark of a good steak is something so standalone tasty that I don’t feel the need to add any condiments to it. The Hublet also ordered a side of string fries and a lobster mac’n’cheese for us to share. I was so full from my calamari and steak that I managed to spear a couple of pieces of lobster and munch a couple of fries before I felt ready to explode. They were very good, however I was unable to do them any real justice and they’re currently sitting in our fridge in a To Go box. Ruth’s Chris offer crème brûlée which, as you know, is one of my favourite things in the world. Sadly I couldn’t bring myself to order it I would have ended up in hospital. Heartbreaking. I’ll console myself with the assumption that it was the worst CB in the world and banish it from my mind. Overall, I had a wonderful and memorable anniversary meal at Ruth’s Chris. The cocktails and appetizers were outstanding, the service was attentive and respectful, the view of the Jacksonville skyline at night was glorious and on a whole the food was surprisingly filling and excellent quality. Definitely a great venue for special occasion meals.

The steakhouse that does steak right! You have to appreciate a fine piece of beef cooked exactly as you order it(I’m a medium rare steak lover). When you hear the sizzling plate coming from the kitchen your mouth begins to water and you are never disappointed at Ruth Chris. It’s always exactly the way you ordered it and bursting with beefy yumminess! The sides here are spectacular including mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach, which are the perfect accompaniment to the steak. When you want steak this is the place to go!

Ruth’s Chris Steak House, pretty much a high end restaurants staple here in Jacksonville Florida. The occasion was my birthday. My lovely wife, mother, and father took me there. As soon as we sat down the table was already decorated with birthday paraphernalia. We ordered some delicious drinks, I definitely recommend the ruby red greyhound for all you manly men out there. As far as appetizers we ordered three of the delicious escargots and the spicy lobster bites. Both were ridiculously good. Dinners where were as follows, two Almond encrusted Chilean sea bass and two ultra rare filet mignons with potatoes, creamed spinach, and lobster mac and cheese. The fish was prepared perfect, the steaks were Pittsburgh seared and rare and beautiful. Dessert was the double chocolate lava cake decorated with my name and happy birthday and a single candle. It was a great experience, great dinner, and I will do it all over again next year! Mike P

Came here with my fiancé’s family for Father’s Day dinner. Very nice place located close to the St. John’s River. We reserved our table and had to wait for the other guests to leave so it kind of took awhile. Nice décor and can tell this place is expensive, but the food and service is great! The family ordered a few other things as well. Very good portions and tasted very good. I got the 3-course meal that consisted of an appetizer, main entrée with a side, and a dessert. As an appetizer, I got the Caesar salad. Very good and I’m sure no one can mess that up, but wished there were a few more croutons. As the main course and side, I got the 16oz Ribeye Steak(medium) with sautéed mushrooms. It was a very large steak and very juicy. VERYJUICY! Cooked perfectly and can slice it with no problem. I couldn’t believe I ate it all! It was heaven. The sautéed mushrooms were also good. For the dessert, it already comes with the Raspberry Cheesecake. If you wanted something else, you can substitute it for a cost of I believe $ 10. I sticker with what the menu provided already. It was really good and love the chocolate almonds. It melts in your mouth really well. I would definitely love to come back for very special occasions only since the cost is pricey, but it is nice to treat ourselves to something lavishing for once.

I was perfectly content with staying home for New Year’s Eve but I got talked into at the very least that should meet a friend for Happy Hour on Ruth’s Chris. I kinda figured they had one but I thought the pricing would be astronomical. It is Ruth’s Chris after all. I was hungry so I agreed. This might but the only time I actually go here or it’ll just be a test run. Ruth’s Chris is inside of the hotel towards the back. The entrance to the lounge is on the right. Boy was it backed. The lounge was nice decorated in black and gold balloons, New Year’s hats, necklaces, and noise makers. My friend saved me a seat at the bar and we ordered drinks, a Cosmo and a Blueberry Mojito. Happy Hour is from 4:30pm to 7:00 pm and the menu is small but the options sounded amazing, especially for $ 8 each. My Blueberry Mojito was on that list and it was wonderful. I declared that this would be my only drink of the night and I struggled to not order another one. To eat, I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna and the Spicy Lobster. My friend got the Prime Burger with Fries. I didn’t think that the portion sizes would be as big as they were, wow. My friend got a regular size burger and the ahi tuna and lobster bites were a little over appetizer-size. The tuna was some of the best tuna I’ve ever had at a steakhouse. It was also served with cucumer salad with pickled ginger on top. I ate it all and ordered another one. The spicy lobster was served on slaw and also had a cucumber salad. The sauce drizzled on top made the pieces spicy, giving me a nice warm feeling. Absolutely great. The waitstaff was very attentive to everyone in the lounge and friendly. My friend and were talking about baseball movies and one server chimed in and was making us laugh. It was great. After last night, I’ll definitely be back.
