Very nice little restaurant. Food is good and plates have honest portions. It was very close to my hotel and we ended up here by chance. I didn’t regret.

HAPPYHOUR430 – 700 exceeded my expectations for food, taste, and pricing! Tuna Poke = 5 stars … Great price for the serving size Crab Cake Brioche = 4 stars … Great price for the serving … Needs more /extra sauce. Berry Mojito = 4.5 … Good price … Not too sweet … Very refreshing … Too much ice.

I was extremely upset when the one in the town center location closed down. The out of control roll is my personal favorite and the service is great. The food comes out at a decent pace but is well worth it. I will definitely be going there again.

This place is a must stop for a sushi lover. My family and I are in Jacksonville for a convention. We had dinner here 3 nights in a row. The fish has fresh flavor, the staff is nice and the prices are fare. The presentation of the food is also excellent. Thank you

Grabbed some to go hibachi the other day for an easy work snack — I work right there. A bunch of people I work with go there multiple times a week, but I’m not sure I would agree. First impression — happiness that the Five Points location clarifies that they are the other Sake House when you call. Google seems to get the numbers confused and I called the other one by accident. Once I got the correct restaurant on the line, I ordered and swung by about 20 minutes later to pick up my food. After I opened the bag in the office, I was pleasantly surprised at the portion size. Teppanyaki is usually good if you’re really hungry, but I’ve never seen this much food at lunch pricing before. Lots of protein, veggies, rice and noodles on top of the customary miso soup and ginger salad. So why the 3 stars? Because honestly, everything was super bland. It tasted like the full hibachi spread had only been lightly dusted with soy sauce — no teriyaki flavor you would normally expect. Plain grilled chicken and veggies over rice and noodles is a really boring dish. I’d say it is definitely possible it was just an off day though — for the amount of food for the price, I’ll probably give it another shot(and maybe eat in instead).

My wife and I live super close, so we hit this place all the time when we need to satiate our respective sushi cravings. We’re probably in here every week or two. It’s a pretty straightforward sushi/Japanese place. No hibachi grills or anything like that, but all of the food options you’d generally expect. Everything I’ve ever eaten here(sushi, tempura, hibachi, etc.) is great. Their food is consistently good every time; I’ve never had an off night. They have pretty good drink options, reasonable prices, and great service. The staff is super attentive and always friendly. Often times, they’ll give freebies to customers like mochi at the end of a meal. The location is actually very good. If you’re a Skyway user, it’s a block northeast of the Riverplace station. It’s on the ground floor retail strip of San Marco Place, pretty central to the other nearby residential towers(Strand and Peninsula) as well as nearby office parks and towers. There’s also plenty of parking right in front. I’m not giving this 5 stars because I’m «wowed» by the place, but because they are consistently good and reliable and the other factors(location, etc.) are pretty tough to beat for a place like this.

This is my favorite place for sushi in Jacksonville. It is always consistent: the food is delicious, beautifully presented and the staff is pleasant. Service can be slow at times, but the quality of the food makes up for it!

Love this place! One of the best sushi places in Jax. Friendly staffs and fast service. Nice casual ambiance. Their fish are always fresh, which is key to great sushi. Some of our fave sushi rolls are: spicy jalapeño roll, Diablo, dynamite and delicious soft shell crab appetizer. They have very good hibachi as well. Our fave is the steak and shrimp with fried rice. Yum! Highly recommend this place for anyone craving for fresh sushi!

I was in Jacksonville for one night to catch a flight home the next day. I didn’t want to eat by the airport so decided to drive into to downtown and try something. I ended up at Sake House 2 after walking around The Landing. I have to say there’s nothing I can say bad about the place. The sushi was tasty and service was good. I don’t normally give 5 stars unless I’m just wow’d. I can’t say I was wow’d, but definitely not disappointed. I would come back.

Okay we just drove in from Georgia– I know this is the coast but Wow this sushi is excellent! We love the rolls but to get the freshness of the fish I would recommend going for the Sashimi — the tuna is the reddest tuna I have ever seen and the Salmon just melts in your mouth. It is fresh and it taste great. Definitely a great find!

Eat here once a week on average. Café seating outside and located across from the river walk and skyway. Love Manhattan roll and Jaquar roll.

I travel the US and Canada for a living and have tried sushi in 45⁄50 states and Canada, this is some of the best in North America. Give it a shot. They portion well, don’t drown the rolls and sushi in rice. Very clean and fun presentation. Best of all, affordable.

Best sushi in town in my opinion. The staff always remembers my boyfriend and I and greets us with a warm smile and nice talk. Most of the times you will have a surprise free app or Mochi dessert depending on how busy they are. If you are looking for a new favorite sushi spot this is the place!

First off, I’d like to praise the staff here. I had dinner with my family and my two little girls were full of energy. Our waiter was very friendly to us and often talked and played with my two girls. Now on to the food, everything was great. Even the surprise appetizer and dessert we got! I personally judge sushi places by the nagiri. The ratio of meat to rice was good, but my focus was on the rice. It tasted how sushi rice should be and was room temperature, not warm or cold to the taste. My family enjoyed their dinner and would like to go back again.

Extremely skimpy on fish portions. Service was nice, place was nice and good tastes great, but the food lacked portion. Meh. I won’t return.

I love sushi and this is one of my favorite places to dine. I’ve been here for both lunch and dinner. Staff is friendly and attentive, service is quick, and they have a great selection of specialty rolls, most of which are quite filling by themselves. I recommend the Godzilla and St. John’s Town Center rolls, especially if you like crunch with your sushi. Their sashimi deluxe is standard, though recently their tuna was not as fresh as in other places. Extra points for presentation — they add an ice-garnish that releases steam when they place it on your table.

Don’t let the store front fool you. The place is ideal for those staying in nearby hotels looking to get away from the conference food. Sushi was good as well as the variety of it. The hibachi tasted fresh and although pricier than expected I thought it was worth it

Sake house has a new bar and the cocktails coming out are seriously on point. The service is great and the bartender was professional and friendly. I ordered three different specialty cocktails and all were great. The bar itself is a new feature and seats up to ten comfortably. There is a huge flat screen as well to watch the game. The food is good. It’s better than your run of the mill hibachi joint. I appreciate the fact they serve hibachi with noodles and rice; most places only serve fried rice. The lighting is dim and it makes for a great date place or a joint for Asian inspired birthday party. They have a live guitar player on Wednesday as well. If you live in San Marco or Riverside, check it out. It’s one of the only sushi places I know of that has a full service bar.
