We placed a big order for delivery through EAT24 and it couldn’t have been easier. EAT24 is always the way to go when placing an order for a large crowd. Prices are good and I can’t believe how fast delivery was! I’ve had better Indian food but overall it was good. Here’s what we got: Rogan Josh — This is like a lamb stew. We asked for spicy but it was very mild. It had a good flavor but the lamb was a little tough Chicken Tikka Masala — Always a favorite! Chunks of chicken breast in a creamy spicy sauce. We should have gotten two orders, they were a tad small. Aloo Mutter– Peas and potatoes and a spicy sauce — pretty good. Saag Paneer — kind of like creamed spinach with soft cheese. very tasty but needed more paneer. Veggie Samosa — Delicious. It’s like the Indian empanada. Pastry dough filled with goodies like potatoes and other veggies and then They do these really well here. A lot of flavor and not dry like others. Garlic Naan — how can you go wrong Veggie Pakora — ok, a little greasy Puri — was also a little greasy Overall not bad no one complained but no one raved either. Well priced and convenient. I may come back for the samosas…

My favorite Indian in Boston. i recommend the mushroom samosas, mango chicken, chicken tikka, gulab jamun, rice pudding, chicken chaat, dosas,… there is a lot to love about this place. Friendly professional staff. Weekend brunch is fantastic.

Food was mediocre at best. The staff was attentive and polite. The real issue came after my meal when I went to the bathroom. It was filthy and there was tape hanging from the ceiling covered in baby roaches and hair. If this is what their customer bathroom looks like, I can’t even imagine the state of the kitchen. The owners should invest in renovating that filthy basement and their customer bathrooms. At the very least clean it.

The buffet is decent considering the price. Food is standard but the chicken masala tastes different from I’ve tried everywhere else. I feel fine with this place, not too outstanding; however my BF is very satisfied. If you’re longing for some Indian but don’t wanna spend too much money, here is the place for you.

Food is very bad. Many of the items are atleast a week old. There are many good Indian restaurants around.

I was extremely impressed by the excellent service & quality of the food. The Indian soup, Mulligatawny, was the best that I have ever had in an Indian restaurant and the lamb tiki masala was excellent as well

This place is near and dear to my heart. I have eaten here too many times tocount and am never disappointed. Everything is good. Everything. My go-to is the chicken korma and am also a huge fan of the chicken tiki masala. Everything is flavorful and can be made as spicy or mild as your heart desires. If you visit Bukhara, you have to order the garlic naan! It is always fresh and flavorful. The staff at Bukhara are always attentive and accommodating. There are almost always Unilocal or Groupon deals available too. You are sure to get a delicious, high-quality meal and experience — no matter what!

My wife and I have eaten here a few times, but no more after the last experience: After they brought out the main dishes as I was scooping out mine onto the plate I found a LONGSTRINGYGRAYHAIR. I brought it to the attention of the student/waitress and she mumbles something incoherent and took it back to the kitchen. She talked to the manager on duty who scowled as if he were annoyed and disappeared. She then came back a few minutes later to tell me that they were making a new one. The dish returns and it is lukewarm and is obviously the same dish that had the hair in it by the fact that I recognized a piece of chicken that I had almost split in half just to see if they had the balls to serve it to me again. No apologies, no striking the meal from the bill… I hate to say it but just being the typical stereotype Indian restaurant being cheap, cheap, cheap(or as some say«frugal» or «thrifty») and please pay us now. Up yours.

Beautiful décor, and delicious papadam to start off the meal, free of charge. The waitstaff has limited English but managed to provide us exactly what we wanted. Delicious vegan options. Mushroom samosas were delightful, and pakoras We’re just right with not too much grease. My boyfriends dosa was very good, thicker than others we’ve had, which was good but lacking the crisp you might crave. They really heeded our requests for mild food, Which was nice. We’ll be back for more!

A Great launch and buffet place — AWESOMEBUFFETPRICES!!! I think the Launch at Bukhara is of the best kept secrets in Boston and definitely my choice for weekend’s late morning meal. You can not find a place in Boston where you would have a feast for the price of buffet entrance here. If you have a young child(3 – 5) they don’t charge extra, just make sure to leave a good tip for guys — they work really hard there.

Food: 3.0÷5.0 Service: 3.0÷5.0 Value: 3.0÷5.0 Décor: 3.0÷5.0 Overall: 3.5÷5.0 Decent Indian food but nothing to write home about, with dinner tasting roughly like what an above average buffet spread would be. Not worth coming all the way out to JP unless you’re close by. There’s a convenient municipal parking lot right behind the restaurant.

This was the WORST indian food EVER. i USUAlly order from shan a punjab but they were closed. so i ordered the the typical dishes i always get,(mutter paneer, chicken biryani, pakora, samosa, raita) but from this resturtaunt and it was DISGUSTING. i know it was a diff resturaunt and that it would taste different. but it wasnt just different. it was horrible and not edible. what planet is this? are they even indian? because it did not taste like india! it was not authentic at all! it tasted like GROSS! ugh… thinking about it now i am like traumatized by the memory and smell. i was so excited when it first arrived. i took a couple bites. couldnt even eat it. i even tried to come back to it later to give it another try. nope! i ended up throwing away and making my self a quesadilla!!! What a waste of food and money! i will NEVER order from them again!

I love Bukhara Indian Bistro! I’ve been there a few times and all the food is warm, savory and filling! The Garlic Naan is on point, and the Chicken Tikka is the best I’ve had around Boston. The employees also don’t give you a discerning judgmental face when you say«mild» for spice level. The Seafood Vindaloo(I think that was what it was called) was also amazing. Definitely a hidden gem and worth a night out.

Inconsistent. What we had and liked, we LOVED. First, the papad. I’ve never been offered one sheet per person before. I understand watching costs, but I recommend offering at least two pieces a person. The chutneys it was served with were stellar, among the best I’ve ever had. We split a chicken tikka masala and a beef vindaloo. We asked for both of these to be «very spicy», and they were! The sauces were very, very complex. Unfortunately, the beef was extremely tough, and the chicken wasn’t much better. For the prices, I expected succulent, melt in your mouth meat. The garlic naan was bland. Not sure how, since it had garlic and butter all over it. Flavorful naan would have elevated the meal. Bummer. Next time, we’ll try the buffet or stick to vegetarian options. I hope to add more stars soon!

I love Bukhara! It’s a great neighborhood spot. I probably wouldn’t cross the river for it if I didn’t live in JP, but I do feel really lucky that I live down the street from this spot. I love the Aloo Tikki Chaat and the tandoori specialties. The buffet is a great deal, and comes with pretty tasty chai tea. The takeout shows up fast, it’s always hot and delicious, and comes with a gazillion orders of rice. Thanks, Bukhara for getting us through the snowpocalypse of 2015!

This place has a nice vibe in downtown JP. The food is pretty great, and it was crowded. The menu has everything you would ever want at an Indian restaurant. We got a few dishes. The saag paneer, chicken tiki masala, duck kadhali(spelling might be wrong) and a lamb dish. All were pretty good, the saag paneer tasted a bit smokey compared to what I am used to but it was great. We got a few different naan’s as well as a fried meat app, samosa? It was great. Giving 3 stars though because of the drinks. The dirty martini’s had maybe an orange gin or vodka with it, which didn’t taste great. I would have given a strong 4, but the drinks wore it down. I would go back, but probably stick to beer!

This place blew my mind. This was my first time trying Indian food and I was nervous yet excited. My friend took me here, confident that I would like it and I trusted her taste in food. We walk in and the whole restaurant was plastered in elegant orange. I felt underdressed and utterly amazed. We walked in to discover it was buffet style that morning/afternoon. I had a mini-panic attack, assuming it would be more expensive than just ordering one meal cause it was a buffet. We started picking dishes to eat and boy was the food knocked my socks off. I instantaneously fell in love with Indian food and was so grateful that it was buffet style and that I could help myself to more. When the bill came, my mini-panic attack returned and the best thing happened. It was $ 12USD each… for a buffet… I kid you not, we started squealing with delight. I recommend everyone stop what they’re doing this instant, book a flight to Boston, and get yourself some Bukhara Indian food.

I love Indian food and after moving to the U.S. It has been hard to find a good place to go. Well, Hallelujah we have one. Their stuffed paratha and vegetable Korma is amazing. So is their fish Tikka with its safronated sauce. The restaurant is out of the way from central Boston but definitely worth the trip and the service was excellent.

This place was pretty mediocre. Most of or dishes came out overly oily. They advertise a weekend brunch but it’s just their normal lunch buffet for $ 15. Overall, this restaurant is very vegan and vegetarian friendly. Their buffet however had limited vegan options. I thought it was pretty bizarre that none of the dishes contained tofu or chickpeas Service was pretty prompt. They have a very nice, open, and comfortable dining area

Utilize their $ 15 for $ 20 Unilocal deal. You’re gonna need it ’cause Bukhara is on the pricier end for Indian food. Entrees averaging $ 13 – 20 for a restaurant in Jamaica Plains is surprisingly a bit too steep for us to be coming back. Bland, to avoid: Meat samosas– 2 spicy turnovers(looks like fried dumplings) stuffed with minced lamb and spices. Tasted zero spice and the minced lamb was very dry. There was admittedly a lot of lamb stuffed in there. The trick is to use the chutneys(3 sauces) provided originally for the papadum(the on-the-house house appetizer) to add more flavor. The good: +Garlic naan– plenty of chopped garlic throughout, fluffy naan +Chicken Tikka Masala– could definitely taste the tomato purée out of the sauce and had a flash back of drinking Cambell’s tomato soup. Go for hot when ordering the spice level, it won’t kill you. This is the fanciest Indian resto we’ve been to so far. The ceiling décor gives the ambiance you’re in a exotic summer bungalow. The ambiance is a bit out of place given the type of neighborhood JP is– chill and low key.
