Nothing special. The pizza came lukewarm and chewy after almost an hour. The delivery guy was nice though.

Okay let me first say I use to love the pizza about 2 – 3 years ago. But after recently eating some simple cheese slices… it was awful. Blend, smelled horrible, not edible at all. It’s cheap but disgusting.

It’s safe to say that Cappy’s is my spot! Whenever I’m in JP area I just got to get a bite to eat. Whether it’s a buffalo chicken wrap, a plate of chicken fingers or just a fish sandwich, I’m always down at Cappy’s the people are always cool and love to talk some shit. I also like the fact that it has a pretty nice vibe in this joint. I’d definitely recommend to my peoples.

«The cheese and pepperoni pizza at Cappy’s is edible, but not much more. However, you shouldn’t judge the quality of a restaurant’s food based on it’s cheese pizza. So I’m rather interested in this food stop. How will the employee-recommended foot item compare in quality to their cheese pizza? Cappy’s has a rather extensive menu, with pizza, calzones, hot subs, cold subs, salads, etc., and I have a hard time believing it’s all as bland as the cheese pizza.» See my full review at my blog:

I been going to cappys for years. As the staff changed the food got worse and worse. Today I went there I grabbed a slice for my son and a steak and cheese wrap for myself. First it took forever. Then when I got it there was barely any meat in the wrap. I asked them why was it like that and he said that it would be the same amount in a sub. Which I immediately disagreed with but I’m not one to argue. So I just said ok, cracked a disappointing smile and walked out. When I got home the sub was cold and tasted nasty only a 4 minute walk mind you. I’m never going there again.

Deciding to try one of the many fine Centre Street pizza establishments, I ordered the two slice + soda special, which is a very modestly priced 5.50(or a buck extra for a topping). Overall, nothing too exciting, but probably fine for a quick bite or maybe delivery. Brags(+): Nice, big slices that they reheat for you in the oven; the sausage and pepperoni toppings we got were also cooked fresh during this reheat. Beats(-): Super greasy… I normally refrain from the napkin blotting technique, but I felt it was necessary in this case to avoid premature cardiovascular death. Variance(~): Grape soda… yum. Also, not to rag on their take-out menu but they definitely could have hired a better graphic artist. The thing uses very pixelated images, and many of the edges are cut out poorly.

Cap’s I love you and your chicken special. Pretty sure I went here at least every week for the whole winter of 2008. The chicken special is chicken fingers on a bun with mayo and pickles. There are tasty French fries and it comes with a soda all for $ 6. The guys in here will always flirt with you. This place is a hidden treasure and probably the reason I gained 20 pounds.

Considering I live around the corner and survive on a $ 10 a week budget, my roommate and I eat at Cappy’s quite often. I usually only order a simple plain slice or a Hawaiian pie every once in a while, which is pretty tastey,(considering I’m a pizza junkie back in my native New Jersey). The pizza is good, maybe a little too greasy(but c’mon, it’s pizza!) compared to all the other Boston pizza places I’ve tried. Cappy’s takes the prize. Another favorite is the chicken caeser salad. Very delicious! And nutricious! They give you a rolled up pita with a plastic fork and spoon inside(which is very conveniant if you also live with sloppy roommates who do not do the dishes and leaves you silverwareless). The salad is fresh, the chicken is delish, but my only complaint is not enough dressing. Besides that, the salad is my favorite. Ive also tried the mozzerella sticks, which were in fact very good. The key to these sticks is that they must be hot/warm because once they go cold, they don’t taste very well. The garlic bread is alright, but garlic bread is always good! The workers are extremely nice and polite, the vibes are a little off, but overall I’d say Cappy’s is A-OK!

This place is a pimple on the ass of the Cappy’s chain. I once ordered a calzone, two hours later after I called to complain it arrived. It had clearly been sitting in the heating bag so long that the sauce container melted, oozing all the sauce everywhere, fusing the calzone with the box, creating a mess I just threw away. Go to Same Old Place, they never fail.

There are no words… I have beef with Cappy’s. First, they took an hour to get us our food, after saying it would only take 30 mins. This is forgivable, but I’m afraid this is only the tip of a big rancid inedible iceburg. We ordered mozzarella sticks, buffalo chicken fingers and a turkey club sandwich. Let’s break it down from yuck to yuckier: The sticks: this was the only edible portion of the meal. It’s hard to f*ck up mozzarella sticks, so I’m not exactly impressed. They were a little cold, and definitely not worth what we paid. The fingers: like mozzarella sticks, fried chicken fingers are pretty difficult to screw up. Put the chicken in the frier, take the chicken out when it’s done. But no. These wretched little turds were sizzled beyond recognition in what could only have been used motor oil. As I write this, having only eaten two about a half-hour ago, I can still taste(and smell) their sour smoky residue. Oh, and the buffalo sauce was on the side. Laziness will get you nowhere Cappy. The club: the tomatoes were fresh. That was it. Soggy bread, mealy grey turkey slices(and way too many of them) and cold fries. I took one bite and saw the face of evil appear before my eyes. Now you might be skeptical of this review, it being a bit dramatic. But trust me, if you felt the way I do right now(cramped, grumpy and out $ 30) you’d understand.
