It’s unfortunate the first person to review this place had such a bad experience. I’m sorry that happened. However, my experiences have been the complete opposite. Been coming here since the end of Sept and have yet to be disappointed. I leave feeling so relaxed and pampered. I go to Janet for all my services, which normally include basic mani, pedi & eyebrows(I’ll post pics next time). She does a good job and she’s a sweet person. The facility is well-maintained and the staff is nice and friendly. I think they’re worth a shot!

I needed to create a business page for this salon just to tell my experience with them. If you take nothing else from this review, the lesson is to always follow your instincts. I hadn’t had a proper mani/pedi in some time and wanted to try somewhere new. As soon as I walked in I knew I was gonna regret staying, I saw a sign that had an ATM fee for their machine and assumed they took cash only. When I asked who looked like the manager if they accept credit/debit for payment she reluctantly said yes and passed me along to one of the techs to do my mani/pedi. A short, pregnant woman who was my tech led me to the pedicure stations. To be frank she looked tired and like she didn’t want to be there. When I asked her if she can do my manicure first she looked at me as if I disrespected her. I had to ask her three times before she understood. Follow with me, now. When doing my manicure I asked her if she could file my nails square; she filed one square and just did whatever she pleased. You ever had to tell the tech that you’ll file your nails your own self? Me neither. First time for everything. Now, she goes to cut my cuticle WITHOUT cleaning her tools. WITHOUT! I stopped her and asked her if she cleaned her tools before using them. Here she goes again looking at me crazy and says, «Oh! Limpiar!» and does a half assed job cleaning them. I know you’re asking me why I stayed, I know you are. It’s because I’m an idiot. She applied the nail polish too thick and either didn’t understand or didn’t care to take heed to my concerns. The pedicure was no better, I had to keep my feet from touching the sink because she didn’t clean it and I don’t know if they regularly clean their sinks. I have two ingrown nails on each big toe and I had to stop her from trying to get to them because I knew I was gonna bleed if I allowed her to hack at my toes. When she was finished, she just up and left. I even said thank you to her but no response. Remember when I said the nail polish for my manicure was applied too thick? Of course when I put my shoes on, my fingers smudge and one finger’s polish was almost gone. When I return to her station I ask her if she can fix it for me. Instead of her taking off all the polish from the messed up finger and re-painting it, she paints OVER the messed up nail while muttering in her native tongue. I don’t know enough Spanish, but enough to know what ‘chinga’ means. Don’t cuss at/about me, this is how you get no tip. A mani/pedi here costs $ 20. The nail businesses in downtown Jamaica are very basic compared to other parts of Queens but you can certainly spend that $ 20 at another salon and get far better service. Instagram is full of nail techs in the area, you can do your research. Hell, do it yourself if you’re in a DIY mood. But don’t be like me and come here. Treat yourself better.
