You will miss your plane. We ordered a burger and fried chicken at 8:32 pm. It just arrived at 9:01 pm. Our flight was delayed so it doesn’t matter but you will miss your plane.

I thought this place was pretty decent for a no name bistro in terminal 8 at JFK airport. I had thought the fried chicken and waffles with real maple syrup and maple smoked bacon was EXCELLENT. The batter was extremely light and crispy and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The real maple syrup came in a cute little jar and there was plenty to go around. I also had the lobster Mac and cheese which was UNBELIEVABLE. The sauce was super rich and creamy, the flavor was excellent and the lobster rations were incredibly generous! Great bang for your buck. Best of all, my waitress made the entire experience unforgettable, thank you to Marleen! She was incredibly upbeat, gregarious and kind. She gave me excellent and careful recommendations on the food and she was wonderfully attentive. She made me feel right at home after a day of exhausting travel.

The pastrami sandwich with Kim chi sauerkraut had no hint oof Kim chi. Pastrami was exceptionally dry. How old was that? Very litle pastrami on the sandwich for the price. Very dry overall. Chopped salad with green goddess looked like it had been made the day before. Blistered tomatoes had no sign of being cooked. Just looked old. good fries and nice server. Try somewhere else in the terminal.

Unfortunately, I got kicked out since I only wanted to drink some tea, and not order food, at 2:30 pm and with plenty of free tables. Service was typically«fake American», i.e. friendly to your face and talking badly about you behind your back.

$ 5.43 cent in the trash with these beige colored, chewy, over cooked, no where looking or tasting like hash browns dish from Soho Bistro. I travel a lot and this has to be the worst offering in recent years. I should take them back for a refund. JFK has had so many updates but all terminals are not created equally. American Airlines terminal? Thumbs down for food. Little selection and these hash browns though? Wow.

I have pretty much never seen such indifferent employees ever in my life. Seriously, I really did not know that it was possible to have such indifference staff at a diner. First off, the food here is abhorrent. There is no other way to describe it. Never spend any money here. The food is seriously just awful. Second, we sat down and for 10 minutes all the staff just milled around, chatted with one another, and didn’t come help at all. This happened to multiple people who sat down around the same time. We had to self service our own menus ad ask if someone could come take our order. They really, seriously, just don’t care. And its airport prices. Shocking.

This was not so bad considering it’s an airport restaurant! I had the salmon with fingerling potatoes and spinach, husband and daughter had chicken and waffles and my son had a burger… All had good flavor and chicken was juicy. There are limited options at this terminal and we were happy with he choice we made.

Dude! Why is one of the most tender succulent pieces of chicken — in a restaurant at JFK Airport??? Soho Bistro’s chicken and waffles WITHSMOKEDBACON!!! YESLAWD! Yes, i guess im not knowing NY. The waffle was good, bacon was very good, but that boneless chicken breast??? I told the waiter i didnt like white meat. He assured me I would like this. Good lookin out Jose!!!

This place was bad! I ordered the spinach omelette, which was spinach with canned mushrooms. My fiancé got the red eye something & he said the gravy tasted like water. I tried his sausage & regretted it immediately. It’s basically really expensive jail food. The service was good though, & the hash browns were decent.

We love to fly, on our way to south america we went to soho bistro because we want to have a glass of wine!!! Horrible service we order glass of wine for $ 22 dollars, it is not about the money(not even in real soho) it was about server attitude And the bartender!!! I will never go back to this place… do not recommend…

Oh well… the flight was delayed. Decided to take a chance on this restaurant in Terminal 8 to have a nice dinner rather than a rushed one. Despite the low ratings on service, my wife and I had no such experience. We were very satisfied with the service and the food was great. The prices may have been a little high, per what was served, but it’s hard to complain as it is located in an airport and everything is expensive. I had the Kobe Pastrami and my wife had the Lobster Grilled Cheese. Both were better than expected. Would recommend for anyone looking to have a decent meal before a flight in Terminal 8. The only downside, which really is attributed to the fact this is an airport, the restaurant isn’t the cleanest. Mainly some of the booths and the floor. Aside from that, it was a good experience for us.

Service sucks even though there are barely any people inside. Ordered a vodka, Sprite and they couldn’t even get that right. Flat soda and weak drinks. Wouldn’t recommend.

10÷13÷153:00 pm What is up with the staff? Miserable bitch face seating us only to find out she’s also the server! Put a fricken smile on your face. Now let’s see how the food is. Very expensive sandwich for what you get. Thin slice of turkey with thinner slice of havarti cheese. A small handful of fries. It was just ok.

There’s no urgency. Nice service, but there’s a lot. of riff raff and lolly gagging. But a 5.0 star experience is tough at an airport, so my expectations are always low. For a place to kill some time, this place will do with their wall full of TV’s playing sports. Omelette with Bacon, sausage, cheddar, and caramelized onion, served with hash browns and toast. Perfect omelette, delicious sausage within, I was a happy boy. For an airport, in my humble opinion, this is worthy. Whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a drink at the bar.

The service here is so bad it borders on comical… Sat at the bar and had a 13.00 chicken tenders and a 9 dollar beer… All the while the bartender said zero words. No thank you; no you’re welcome… I don’t mind getting taken advantage of, but at least be nice as you do it!!! Missing Terminal 5 and OTG restaurants right now!

Dined here for a quick meal and the experience was good Pros — quick service — clean and open space Cons — food is ok nothing great — some things seemed over price but the flatbreads were reasonable — the waitress wasn’t rude but wasn’t nice as well. Was really quiet and we had to ask her any question multiple times Overall — not bad for a quick meal at the airport

Thanks, Happy! Appreciate you keeping me company on a 5 hr layover. A friendly staff helped to make the best of a bad situation. A bottle of wine didn’t hurt either…:-)

Yeah, it’s an airport so you’re going to pay twice as much for half as much food. I’m used to that and Soho is no different than anywhere else so I don’t hold that against them. The problem that I had was that the hostess seated us and then it was at least 4 minutes before I saw any signs of wait staff. There were only a few tables occupied so it wasn’t super busy. Airport restaurants should have super fast service since not everyone has a lot of time between flights. I was lucky that I got to the airport early. I ordered the lobster grilled cheese. It was good, but the cheese wasn’t very melted. There was more lobster than I was expecting. I’d definitely stop here again as long as I have enough time.

This place suffers or benefits from its location in the airport, depending on your expectations. Yes, it’s expensive(all food at JFK is), yes, the service is spotty, and no, you are not dining at a 5 star restaurant. OK, that’s out of the way. It’s is what it is… adequate to good comfort food in an area(Gate 8) of the airport with only other fast food options. As something to pass the time and a place to chow down so that you don’t starve on the plane(don’t get me started on the ‘gourmet’ plane food cr&@), it gets the job done.
