You have to Taste and then see to believe me! I’ve been coming here for a few years to get my Caribbean fix from time to time. Located inside the farmers market food court is TAS. Their menu is extensive featuring a plethora of Roti options and authentic Jamaican, Trinidadian and guyanese delicacies. They offer shrimp, curry chicken and Goat Roti as well as WHOLEWHEAT roti. With the competition from other carribean vendors, this place remains still standing offering authentic cuisine. Recently they introduced a lunch special for $ 5.75. You get cabbage, pillow soft rice and peas and choice of Oxtail or stewed chicken. The ladies are pleasant and cook from the heart. They also make my favorites homemade Sorrel, Mauby(bitter herb rooted) and Ginger Beer. You haffi Taste and mek yuh see !!!

Wow! I originally went into Jamaica Food Fest to get Erica’s, which is a Spanish restaurant. I was drawn to Taste and See though. Again, wow! I was skeptical at first, but I asked if I could taste the Curry Chicken and the lovely woman gladly obliged. It was moist, flavorful and incredibly authentic. I then went on to order the Curry Chicken roti that came with curry potatoes and chickpeas. I also got a side order of fritters. Altogether I only paid $ 10 for this meal, that was restaurant quality. I ate a fritter on the way home and was in heaven. Crispy outside, doughy inside, layers of flavor and amazingly light. When I finished the meal I actually called them over the phone to tell them how much I enjoyed it, and that is why I am writing this review. If you like West Indian food, I think you would LOVE this place. The service was pleasant, the food was perfect and I will be back. I recommend it to everyone!
