Went there for Sunday brunch with some friends. The food was absolutely superb. If you like cheese, you have to try the fried Brie. This dish is a carry-over from the Jamesport Country Kitchen, and I’m glad they still make it. So simple and so tasty. The atmosphere was wonderful. It felt both upscale and casual at the same time. As someone who enjoys good architecture I loved the way that they embrace the building, right down to the music they play. I was thrilled to hear Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald in the background. It really crystallized the experience. Our server was great and continued the casual yet classy vibe of the Jamesport Manor Inn. Everyone in our party agreed that we must go back in the summer just to enjoy a glass of wine and apps at the location. Note that It can get a bit pricey, so I won’t be there every weekend. However, if I’m looking for a memorable dining experience, I know where I’m going.

Party of four, we called at 5:30 on Valentine’s Day and asked if we could get in for dinner. We were cheerfully granted a 6:15 reservation. We arrived early and we were shown to the intimate bar up front to wait for our table. It’s a very small bar with 6 – 7 stools and four lounge chairs with two cocktail tables. The bartender was a bit lost, and neither pleasant nor unpleasant. I thought $ 17.00 was a bit stiff for an Belvedere and tonic… My wife ordered a cupids something or other off the cocktail menu and it was tasty. We were promptly shown to our table at 6:15 by the very friendly hostess. The downstairs dining rooms are dark and very comfortable. I was surprised that the place was not full at prime time on Valentine’s Day. We ordered off the $ 60 price fix menu. Our waitress was a delight, and the bus staff was quick with our bread(accompanied by some tasty olive oil) and our drinks. I ordered the tuna tartare appetizer, accompanied by and order of short ribs as the main course and macadamia pie for a dessert. The tartare was tasty. It was served on a bed of cucumbers and had a soy type glaze. The glaze was a little lacking, but the tuna was bery fresh. The short ribs were served with mashed potatoes and string beans, in a port wine demi. The dish worked well and the portion was more than acceptable. A solid, filling dish. The macadamia pie was basic. Tasty, but nothing special. The Mrs. ordered the beef filet which was served with whipped potatoes and a creamed spinach. The dish was pretty much dead on. Perfect filet, the spinach was amazing and the whipped potatoes were delicious. She ordered the lobster bisque as an appetizer. It was a bit on the cold side and nothing to write home about. The crème brûlée dessert was run of the mill. Good but not great. They have a wide selection of local wines and beer. Overall this was a really pleasant experience and if I’m in the area I wouldn’t hesitate to stop by again. There are also upstairs dining rooms which are a little less dark and romantic, but very well finished and comfortable.

This restaurant is set inside a beautiful old Victorian house which makes it a very classy atmosphere. We went for the first time Easter brunch, which had a special menu full of unique options, some on the fancier side, some on the more traditional side(such as a BLT). Their regular Sunday brunch is absolutely wonderful. They have an omelette station, lox, baked goods, and plenty of breakfasty items(such as bacon, sausage, fruit, and home fries) and dinner menu items(such as pasta, meat, etc). The setting, service, and food all definitely make it worth the price for dining here!

The four of us went there during restaurant week. We were all wowed by the food and pleasantly surprised! We will definitely return. It feels a bit«old world» quiet and dignified; but it made for good dinner conversation not having to raise voices like we’ve experienced dining over on the south fork. A Sweet spot with good tasting food and pleasant even service.

Made an effort to come here for lunch instead of my usual Jedediah Hawkins visit. Read their lunch menu and it looked great, so we stopped in for lunch around 1pm on a Sunday. Turns out it was brunch only. The brunch was… OK, the bill was basically $ 110(plus tip) for 3 adults and a child who didn’t want to eat anything they had. I basically felt like it was robbed by an overpriced brunch and I probably won’t ever come back just out of spite. I did call ahead to see if there was a wait. I wished they told me it was brunch only so we would have avoided it.

Jamesport Manor Inn… you complete me! I’ve been waiting a long time for you:)) This is the perfect Sunday brunch experience. From the gorgeous building to the professional and accommodating staff, I promise that the buck is worth the bang! The brunch was so fresh and delicious and the welcoming chef offered many selections from the omelette station to the incredible spread. The quiche is just delectable. The tomatoes popped in my mouth and the texture was outrageous… the flaky crust was just magnificent. You MUST try the crème brûlée — it was perfectly cooked and honestly — the top tasted like that camp fire marshmallow that takes forever to perfect! BRILLIANT! The atmosphere, the facilities and most importantly the food were spectacular. Endless mimosas and bloody Mary’s were the cherry on the ‘sunday’. Bravo to chef Jeff who exceeded my expectations and understands the true meaning of brunch!

Ambience: A Cleanliness: A Customer Service: A + Food: A+ Overall Rating: A+ Price –Its expensive, but not obnoxiously so. Its fine dining at fine dinning prince but nothing as bad as what you pay in the Hamptons. Atmosphere –Its fancy but also very homey at the same time. It has a very late 19th century feel to it, almost like you stepped into the dining room of Scarlett O’Hara, without the slaves of course(Gone with the Wind, my favorite movie ever!) Customer Service –Amazing! They wait staff reminds me of the kind of service you get on a cruise ship; polite and efficient to the max! Food –Yum!!! Just yum! They change their offerings often and despite the price I’ve gone there pretty often and I’ve never had anything that wasn’t simply yum! Overall –I love this place. As a girl I can tell you guys out there if you were to take a date to this place(throw in some roses and a movie after if she is real classy) and you won’t be going home alone.

Went here for the 1st time for lunch. The food was very good along with the ambiance. The biggest down side were all the Flys buzzing around our heads. Very unnerving for such a pretty place. Hope they straighten out the problem.

I’ve been here a ton of times and it never disappoints. Staff is always great and the food is stellar. I wish they would bring back that duck strudel that was by far the best thing they had but this was probably 4 years ago I’m talking Just went there to try the brunch. It was very good. Only complaint is the pasta was a little cold and some of the food could of been swapped out for new trays but we were probably the last reservation there at two so I kind of understand since working in the industry for a long time. All in all this place always has great food drinks and service. A must visit when out on the east end

I had visited the James Country Kitchen many times in the past years and always had a great experience. One of my favorites was the pesto chicken on focaccia bread. Today I went to the Jamesport Manor expecting the same quality and was sadly disappointed. The chicken and the focaccia bread was overdone and inedible. A big surprise to me and my wife. With the price they charge for a simple lunch coupled with the lack of quality we experienced, we will not be returning there again.

I decide to try this for the second time… First time was 4 years ago. The décor is absolutely beautiful. The service was terrible. The waitress was not really paying attention to the table. I had to ask a busboy several times to call our waitress. A person in our party asked if the carrots in her dish could be substituted for another vegetable, the waitress flat out said NO we do not substitute anything period. Portions were small and prices were high. There is no salt on any table. We asked why and the answer was, «that’s just the way they want it». I had the braised short ribs, they were good. The butternut squash was so sweet, it tasted like dessert. The chicken entrée was good but again potato mash that was under it was extremely sweet. Not worth the price. I will not be returning.

Loved this place. Great spot for a nice dinner after a day of wine tasting. Beautiful old home, typical north fork style, really nice setting. The food was excellent and service was good. A lot of local people…

I’ve eaten at many many restaurants on Long Island, and The Jamesport Manor inn is by far, THE best ! Everyone I was seated with had only one word to say, «Delicious»! Will definitely return soon. If your looking for a Delicious dinner, Go! Don’t hesitate !

In the heart of Wine country sits this restored farm house turned restaurant. The décor is striking. You get the charm of an old Victorian house without the often squeaky uneven floors and small dimensions. If you are arriving at night the parking lot could use more lighting so watch your step as it’s a gravel lot(wear stilettoes at your own risk). The menu is pretty broad with something for everyone. Some beef, fish, chicken, and pork, but no vegetarian offering. That doesn’t bother me since I’m a meataterian, but those adverse to consuming carcasses should call ahead to assure you can be accommodated. Overall the meal was very good. I had the prosciutto and fig appetizer and the duck entrée. The duck was great, wouldn’t change a thing. I had assumed that the figs in the appetizer were dried and not«un-dry» and I think that more intense flavor would have boosted the combination of ham, fruit and cheese to another level. It was fine as was but when I read it I was looking for a more intense flavor from the figs. We all enjoyed some different desserts and no one was disappointed. Form the Sorbet, to the crème Brule, wild berry tort and Gelato. There was an grumbling that the mint chocolate gelato was accompanied with blueberries, as opposed to some other complimentary candy, but it was a minor gripe. What was striking was our service that night, one of our party had been here on several occasions a was surprised how off the service was that night. There were three service errors(one per course). I was served the wrong appetizer(Oysters instead of the prosciutto), both me and my wife were served the wrong Entrée(She was given a short rib special, instead of her steak, and I received a Steak instead of my duck. No one ordered the short ribs, although they looked real good from across the table.) A final service error was the cold coffee served with the dessert course. So I would give this three and one half stars if I could, but I can’t. So we are rounding down, If I get another chance to make my way back out there we’ll give it another shot. With a better service experience, they can definately get that other half star at least.
