Great place to stop while you’re out tasting wines. It is very expensive! But you almost don’t mind the cost as every morsel is fantastic and the presentation is superb. Had a $ 16 eggplant Rollatini with some added asparagus spears. It was terrific! Loved the $ 21 vegetable lasagna and had a great $ 9 house salad with vinaigrette and homemade croutons. The bread should get a review of its own. It is home-baked, fresh-baked and piping hot. Just a hint of charcoal and fresh butter. It is sumptuous. We went there at a weird time, 4:30PM. I don’t believe they open until five, but I’m not sure. When we walked in I heard silverware clinking but the kid working the bar said that we had to come back later. Luckily, the hostess overheard him and said«no problem, we can seat you right now.» And then we were seated next to a couple that was halfway through their meal. So it was curious. We almost didn’t eat there. But luckily we did. The appetizers are priced in the mid to high teens and the entrées are priced in the high 20s to low 30s. I did notice a big steak for $ 75. We were not terribly hungry and wanted a light meal between wine events for the Long Island Winterfest. So we split an entrée and two appetizers and it was more than enough food for the two of us. The service was ultra attentive. The ambience is terrific. It is a very warm and cozy establishment. Highly recommended.

We used to love this place. Really we did. But things are just not the same. The food is okay but the service has totally gone down hill. It is a shame as the Victorian house has so much potential. And the Speak Easy is just cool! Be prepared to ask for bread and remind your waitress that you are still waiting for your coffee that you ordered with dessert that was delivered 10 minutes ago. Management, please work on things. There are so few really great restaurants on the North Fork. I hope you can become one again.

Go out of your way to visit this place. It’s old and beautiful and comfortable at the same time, like walking back in time. Another review here mentioned the duck wing appetizer. Yes. Do it. Amazing. Go for hours– walk outside, sit in the parlor bar, get there when the old speakeasy is open, eat.

Cute place, beautiful Xmas directions. The service was great but the food was okay, decent at best. The steak was boring and tough, something I can make better at home at a third of the cost. The tacos were very small but priced more like an app for 2 and it was also rather bland. It wasn’t bad food just wasn’t great either. Just okay. Also a lack of most popular beers was upsetting. I have no intentions of going back, better places around at a lesser price

Fabulous! Bottle of Burgundy followed by Duck wings and a special that was like sushi with scallops. Delicious! Moved on to the steak and chicken. Everything cooked perfect! This place rocks. Brownie sundae for 2 was great. We split 3 ways and still had some left.

Who knew? In Scenic Downtown Jamesport, a quick turn off Rte 25, there’s a step back in time. With a portrait of Jebediah himself in the Parlor, the authentic Victorian structure not only offers a cozy group of intimate Dining Rooms, but also a fabulous«outdoor» Patio [but totally glazed roof] with a picturesque view. Bar service also extends to several rooms. .. and custom drinks are house specialties(Bloody Mary will open your nostrils!); fortunately, there are plush sofas in addition to bar stools. Service: Top Rate, Attentive but not ‘hovering’, totally Professional. Food: well, fantastic warm bread appears immediately! Check the Menu: you can’t go wrong with any of the options!

Had a nice quiet dinner here, I had a good time. Nice ambiance and setting to pull up to. Good: –Atlantic salmon($ 28) was delicious –Duck wings($ 15) very tasty –Harvest salad with pears, and gorgonzola($ 13) tasted good –Toffee sticky pudding with beets($ 9) –Romantic and intimate ambiance –The grounds outside is beautiful –Speakeasy downstairs –Great history if you ask about the site and Hawkins himself –RSVP for a 1000 point table on Open Table Bad: –The food tasted so great, I wish the portions were a tad bigger for the money being paid –Only 5 duck wings came in an order –Not the restaurant’s fault but it was a little hard to find at night, with dark roads and dim street lighting

This is a review for dinner. We ate here on a recent beautiful Sunday, and the ambiance was top-notch; definitely give yourself enough time to stroll the grounds and maybe take a few Instagram shots by the gazebo and pond. Positives: the complimentary fresh bread and salted butter is amazing. It’s served warm and it’s hard not to eat the whole basket. We also really enjoyed our appetizers(charcuterie platter, burrata and salad with walnuts) and cocktails(we both went with the gin gimlet). The downsides to our meal was the service — our waitress was very pleasant but took forever to take our order. She also didn’t bring us the bread until after we’d ordered three appetizers, which was kind of annoying — we probably wouldn’t have gotten the burrata if we’d had the bread earlier. I liked my crab cakes but my boyfriend thought his duck was overcooked. For dessert we got the blueberry shortcake dish which was okay but quite sweet — I wish we’d gone with something else. We were also really looking forward to visiting the speakeasy and were disappointed that it was closed for a private event that evening. All this being said, it was overall a great experience and I would definitely return — maybe to actually stay in the inn next time!

Absolutely wonderful experience! We stayed over and the dinner was excellent! Filet mignon was perfectly cooked and the cod cakes were delicious! The inn is stunning and we enjoyed the outside grounds before and after dinner. The service was perfect! Staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend as a little getaway!

I’ve been coming here for quite a few years to eat with my wife and the food never ceases to amaze me. The grounds of this inn/restaurant are absolutely breathtaking! If you are staying here don’t forget to find the basement bar which is awesomely decorated. Actually the whole place is decorated beautifully, This will be more of an all around review since I cannot remember everything I have ever ate here. One thing I will say that is consistently amazing even though the recipe has changed is their duck wings. Listen to me right now, order the duck wings, they are the most insanely addicting and delicious thing you will ever put in your mouth. Besides the duck wings, their drinks are amazing, all of them from alcoholic to their peach ginger ice tea. This place is not to be missed, and also did I mention get the duck wings?

Love this place, its a picture perfect setting on a quiet country road among local homes, on Long Island’s North Fork. It’s a restaurant & Inn, in a beautiful historic house with reminders of the original owners in the name, and in photos. There are three seating areas for the restaurant, we sat in the garden room/porch preferred over the main dining room or downstairs/with live music. A view overlooking greenery with lots of light is always relaxing. They have a nice mixed menu, of salads, American, and seafood. Nice desserts, and plating. North Fork local wines available. Definitely 4 ½ stars, for location, hospitality, menu, and charm.

They had a Unilocal event here?!? Man, if I knew I would have been the first one to RSVP Pulling up to the restaurant, it looks so. Majestic. It’s simply beautiful with outside spaces, multiple detached spaces for events and don’t forget the Speakeasy!(More on that in a bit) My wife and I are early and decide to wait by the bar. The bar list has great cocktails and is heavy on great Long Island wines, as it should be. We start with two glasses of Long Island wines and they were generous pours to get the party started. We’re seated and shown only the Long Island Restaurant week menu. For $ 28 bucks its pretty high end. I started with the Duck Wings for a $ 6 up charge. Sticky, sweet and ducky. Mmm mm! Delish Next, My wife ordered the pork loin and I ordered the Pappardelle. My wifes order, the pork was tough and overcooked. Not enjoyable. But my Pappardelle? Off the chain! Freshly made ribbons of pasta, mushrooms, cream sauce and veggies. I was really happy with this selection. The flourless chocolate cake? Meh. It wasn’t hot, light or anything a flourless cake should be. Very dense and not too chocolatey. The speakeasy? Picture walking downstairs in your parents finished basement. It’s dark, they have a bar with a buncha beer taps and a big table. I’d rather be outside on a nice day drinking wine than be in a basement. I pass on this novelty. I’m so glad I was able to experience Jedediah Hawkins Inn. Its a great Long Island restaurant. A few cooking mistakes gives this place only(4) Unilocal stars from me.

Ultimate Bed & Breakfast Lodging Jedediah Hawkins is incredible. The house has unbelievable character and appeal. A renovated 1830s Victorian home with a restaurant on the first floor. We stayed in the«Sage» room on the second floor. The room was great, two large windows, a gas fireplace, and a good sized bathroom. The bathroom even had a heated tile floor. The food was very good. I had a Crab Egg Benedict that was out of this world. The NY Strip Steak and Parpadelli Bolognese were both great as well. The dining room was small but quaint. All and all, a great experience. I would highly recommend a stay at Jedediah Hawkins. If you can’t book a room, you should at least try to stop in for a dinner and a drink in the«Speakeasy»!
