Love this place! Big, juicy burgers, great service, cold beer. The perfect neighborhood bar.

Brody’s is a perfect family owned burger rest. and bar. The burgers are delicious and the sides like their sweet potato tater thots compliment the burgers. They have approximately 30 beers on tap. They also have several televisions overhead typically broadcasting a football, soccer, basketball or baseball game. The staff is nice and the owners will check in on you from time to time at your table to make sure you are enjoying your meal. If you like burgers, beer or want a basket of fries with friendly people — swing by Brody’s, its family owned.

My friends… Looking for a great neighborhood bar & grill! OMG I FOUNDIT! Brody’s Burgers & Beers(outside of El Cajon, just into Jamul) is awesome! I got a burger with onion, grilled mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, pickles, lettuce & tomato. Perfect ratio of bread to beef to cheese to veggies. We had Bekahs Hot Tots: tater tots w cheese, jalapeño, bacon bits & Tapatio & regular tater tots. Everything was so incredibly delicious! Brant, the bar tender was so nice & very attentive!

I’m new to the area, just moved here(from Silicon Valley) & rely on Unilocal for all food, services & referrals! So 3.3 miles away from the new house is the best burger I’ve had since 1984. Thank you! The Special Guacamole burger with sauteed mushrooms hit the spot! I’ll be back with my family & friends.

We have been to Brody’s many times and have enjoyed the hamburgers and fries. We always had a good time in what was a friendly neighborhood place. Last night, however, was very different. We took our two young grandsons, 10 and 7, there for a hamburger. Next to us was a table of very loud young men. At first they were just noisy, but as they downed more beer, they became very loud and very vulgar. The waitresses did nothing to quiet them at all. The owner came over at least once, talked to them about something, and left. Their conduct did not change. Finally we hurried our grandsons along, paid and left letting the owner know what had occurred. Brodies has good food, but if you are looking for a family friendly place where you can take kids, look elsewhere.

Eh… I guess I don’t really get it. The burgers are big and juicy but they have zero flavor. I don’t know… maybe I’m doing it wrong but I’d like some type of flavor coming from my burger aside from just meat and tasteless cheese. The thousand island I got on the side didn’t even help much, nor did the pepper I threw on my patty. Don’t get it. The buns are… weird man! Toasted??? Who I need to talk to to get that? My bun(and my tables) came straight out of the package from Costco. Ya, these weren’t even fresh or quality store bought buns, just white, no flavor, no grill marks, stick to the bottom of the crate, buns. Nope. My Tatar tots were stellar. Honestly the sides are the best part of the meal. I wasn’t drinking but they do boast 31 crafts on draft which probably helps with thinking their food is amazing. I’ll try that next time.

If you’re familiar with Jamul, you probably think of a lot of things before you think of driving out there to eat. Well, I’m right there with you, or at least I was until Brody’s entered my life. I have a few friends that live in Jamul and they have all been raving about this great new burger place for a while now. I never gave it much thought until I decided I really wanted a burger and figured I would check out Brody’s. Brody’s is unassumingly located in a little strip mall at the beginning of Jamul. The vibe is very casual, when you walk in you can feel free to grab a table or a seat at the bar. The menu is straight forward, but you can customize your burger and even your sides however you like. They’ve also got a great craft beer selection that changes often. I’d highly recommend the Bekkah’s Hot Tots as a side if you like a little kick. They come with cheese, jalapeños, Tapatio and have a nice punch to them without being over the top. Everything from the burgers to the buns is super high quality and pretty dang tasty. The service here is also on point, super friendly and helpful. So, if you are in the neighborhood and craving a great burger in a low key environment hit up Brody’s. You can thank me later.

Best fries ever! We go here quite a bit. Their burgers are good, delicious shakes, but their shoestring french fries are AMAZE-BALLZ, omg! Before it used to be McDonald’s, but Brody’s are just superb; salty, fatty, just the right amount of soft and crunchy, YUM!!!

My only issue is how pricey it is to eat here. It’s good burgers, don’t get me wrong, and a lot of people really like the surplus of beers on tap. Adding things on the burger adds on the cost of the burger, and sometimes it can be ridiculous. I would recommend going if you don’t mind spending a lot for a good burger, but it’s good to try at least once or for a special occasion.

When it comes to «I’m in the mood for a good burger» you need to drive here! Park right in front. At night it’s dark from outside and looks like a bar but on the left side it’s well lit. As you walk in there’s a chalkboard on right with specials, vibe was very chill, there’s a huge bar area, tv’s, there’s some wall art, the guys working were friendly and our server Claire was very attentive and courteous. It was our first time here and we told her and she explained more and helped us chose some of Brody’s Burgers favorites. We literally ordered. Our drinks came out and BAM… our food came out so fast and fresh I was astonished how quickly they made it like they knew we were coming. If this was anywhere else I’d be waiting 20 minutes. I was shocked. It looked like a burger in a commercial. Couldn’t wait to get my fingers dirty. My husband went with the beef burger hawaiian style with teriyaki and pineapple on their homemade scrumptious soft buns and of course a Not Your Dad’s hard root beer in a bottle. I got to taste it and it was very juicy and slippery to hold(hence the paper towels on the table-you know its good when those are there). I ordered a old fashion root beer chose the turkey burger with everything on it. Then dressed it up with the BBQ sauce, mustard, and ketchup. The meat was very flavorful and it comes out medium unless you tell them otherwise. I ordered a side half order of onion petals for us to share and of course some sweet potato tots for our son to try. It’s served with their ranch dip and it’s a perfect combo for dipping and nibbling. Don’t forget to look up! The décor was super cool with their taps decorating the ceiling and the big silverware on the wall. We got to sit at the 4 top table by where they grill was and they have highchairs for the little kids. Very family friendly which we enjoyed. Can’t wait to go back or share with friends and try more delicious burgers and craft beers.

Beef burgers we had were pretty good. Add $ 1.00 for cheese though because it doesn’t come with it… And $ 0.50 to grill my onions for my burger that they didn’t even tell me was extra… That’s my only complaint. Please mention to guests if it costs extra for stuff like that. But waitress refilled our waters so that is good. If I’m in the area I’ll come back again. And I would give this place 3.5 stars not because of the food but because of not mentioning to me when stuff costs extra.

Delicious burgers, beer & buffalo fries. Good beer selection. Awesome service. What better way to support your local restaurant! And don’t forget about the Mission brewery Hard Rpotbeer 7.5%

This is another great place to stop if you’re passing through Jamul for a drive or ride. Actually the beer menu is more complex than the food menu. There are 30 or beers on tap at any one time, and they are mostly craft and local. Something for everyone. The burgers and sandwiches are pretty basic, and you can add whatever condiments or toppings your choose(small fee applies). One disappointment was the side dish category. Seems like everything was pretty much deep fried or potato based.

I went here with a group of about 25… They got every order right, split the check three ways with no complaints, they were on top of drink refills, and they did it all with a smile.(I’m sure we had to have been sightly annoying)… I believe it is a family owned business which I love supporting. A couple years ago I met the owner at Target, she overheard us talk about how we wanted good burgers for dinner. She told us about her place and gave us some burger coupons. I never made it out there until now, but I really wish I had. It is a hidden Jewel in Rancho San Diego and it shows how nice the owners and workers are. The place is clean, has plenty of TV’s if you want to watch sports, it has lots of good food choices, and lots of drink options. The food is good. Not the best burger I’ve ever had, BUT it is definitely good enough to return for more. The hot tots are good, but I think I would prefer a different cheese.(personal preference). Everyone in our group seemed to enjoy their food with no complaints other than being stuffed to the max. It’s a bit of a drive for anyone not in east county but it is a great local place to stop for a burger and a beer.

Take out and now dine in confirms it, Mama i’m in love. The Broderick family does burgers right. Local, hand formed patties. Like a fine dining backyard bbq with the coolest family ever. The restaurant is split in half. One side bar & main dining area, the other game room and projection TV viewing area. I ordered a double cheeseburger(no salad) to go. The patty had so much flavor, it must have been a badass of a cow, ground up and formed by a working man’s hands. Sitting in the restaurant, for s**ts and giggles I ordered the turkey cheeseburger. Topped with crisp veggies, it was a fine alternative to the boeuf. I washed it down with a chocolate strawberry shake, a cool combo I have never had the pleasure of being company with. The finale was a symphonied out version of a funnel cake. The warm crunchy cake was topped with soft serve vanilla ice cream and scoops of fresh strawberries in syrup. Dannnggggg! Please support this place. Its a rockin’ addition to east county.
