For the money, the quantity of food was not equivalent. Very disappointed… Husband’s brisket was dry and they were out of the red snapper special so had to pick something else so picked the trout. There was hardly any fish to be found in the concoction. Server was nice but very jumpy and called my husband«bubba». Not good… would suggest a revamp of menu and pricing and train servers better…

This is by far the most enjoyable and satisfying dining experience in Jasper. The menu is both interesting and comfortable. I am confident that when I try a new offering it will be a pleasure I can look forward to repeating. Farm to table is done right at 61!

We’ve only been to 61 Main for lunch. The food is consistently delicious here and the staff is courteous. Prices are reasonable as well. I recommend the fried green tomato BLT& any of the soups. My picky 7 year old loves their grilled cheese because the kids version isn’t fancy– just tasty. Be sure to save room for dessert~ they are to die for!

Hubby and I were in search of an esoteric item in the wasteland of Kennesaw big box stores when we decided to add some fun to the day and drive a little way into the North Georgia mountains. It got too late to go all the way to Ellijay, however, and we decided to find someplace to eat in Jasper and then head back to Atlanta. I read about this little gem on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. So glad we stopped! Cute space with an interesting brunch menu and a good lunch menu. I had the fried green BLT along with a cup of the daily soup special, tomato bisque. Both were delicious. The sandwich was very satisfying, with a generous portion of crisp fried green tomatoes and well-prepared thick bacon. Sandwiches are served with your choice of bread, including sourdough, wheat, marble rye and a special millet bread. Ingredients are locally sourced and many are organic. Service was friendly and professional. The wine list includes wines from local wineries. We didn’t have a chance to look over the dinner menu but several of the reviews claim that dinner is quite good, so we will try to stop in when the next time we visit our friend’s cabin in Blue Ridge!

Had a $ 150.00 dinner there last night. We were very disappointed in the food and the service. Would not recommend this restaurant. I ordered the trout, however, never found any fish in the meal.

Absolutely one of the most delicious and freshest dinners you will eat. The lettuce in the Caesar salad was so fresh and tasty, you almost didn’t need the dressing. We are the Beef Brisket special and it was fall off the fork(even more tender than fall off the fork) and delicious. Our server was very nice and brought us an organic berry dessert with ice cream for our birthdays.

Amazing dinner and wine experience. The service was awesome as well. Everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. I don’t live in the area but plan to dine here whenever I’m in town.

Several people highly recommended this restaurant to me stating they used local products and had a nicely varied menu such as a green tomato BLT, luscious salads and great daily specials. Restaurant is small, cozy atmosphere, adequate varied menu. I had their special grits/Lima bean/kale soup based on our server’s recommendation and it was excellent — wished I had ordered a bowl rather than the cup with ½ sandwich as the chicken salad sandwich was very disappointing. The chicken salad was bland and considering I could barely find it in my sandwich didn’t help my impressions any. I’ll go back but not for the chicken salad.

Great place for lunch. I enjoyed the B.L. Green Tomato sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was delicious! Will be sure to stop by again when I come back into town.

We just finished our lunch and it was very good. This is a quant little place right down town Jasper. Just sandwiches, soup and salads on the menu but I would rather see a few really good items than a menu do large you can’t choose. I had the Ruben and it was delicious my husband had the the Drew Italian it was equally as good. We will be back.

For a small town, this is a stellar offering! Local, sustainable, farm to table food, cooked to perfection. We had a selection of appetizers and couldn’t fault any of them. The chicken meatballs were especially tasty. Everything seemed fresh and cooked to order, and the service was so friendly! Definitely try the pimiento cheese and the sweet potato/yuca duo! We were on a day trip from Atlanta, but we will be making the journey back regularly. Most mains had a price point of $ 20, which was excellent value for the quality!

I don’t often rave about restaurants, however this will be an exception to the rule. The atmosphere and food in 61 Main was out of this world and only slightly surpassed by Jessica B. our server who was outstanding… My better half had the garden salad with blue cheese dressing and an entrée of the Flounder an olive oil poached filet, preserved lemon, edamame«salsa», napa & Carolina gold rice. I had an appetizer of the Lamb Meatballs which were hand-crafted and topped with a chili jam on toast. Then on to the salad which was the most delicate caesar salad I have ever had. Entrée was the lamb shank which was a special on the night which just fell off the bone and melted in the mouth… Jenna and Tadd Schreiber who are the owners. Tadd is front of house and his wife Jenna is the executive chef… Check out the menu and everything about 61 Main at
Overall I would rate the 61 Main a clear 12 out of 10. If you haven’t been to 61 Main then make the effort, and/or the drive to go there, you will not be disappointed…

61 Main is always an exciting place to go to. Their food are prepared according to what ingredients they got from surrounding businesses. The idea of «I scratch your back and you scratch mine,» well 61 Main is a huge encouragement for farmers in the area to do what they do best while providing fresh ingredients for the restaurant. At the end, 61 Main’s customers are the big winners. Not only are the food tasting so amazingly good, they can also also claim that the food are prepared with a lot of careful imagination and creativity.

Had a fabulous dinner of all fresh vegetables. There was a storm outside and computer was hit but 61 Main carried on and I didn’t feel like they missed a beat. Maggie is a great server. Yes, I will go back… Roasted Beets, Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatos are fabulous.

Since we purchased a home in Big Canoe, GA, 61 Main has been our go-to place to eat. The food is farm-to-table fresh; Jenna, the chef, is amazingly creative in using what’s in season from week to week. The entire staff is friendly and helpful and very willing to work with my many food sesitivities. We feel like we’re welcomed by friends every time we eat there — and we always leave happy and sated, having had a good meal that is also good for us! Don’t miss Monday night supper — an incredibly great deal.

Excellent!!! We stopped in for a late lunch and were so surprised to find such a lovely and delicious place. Had the salad special and the special side — squash and zucchini. Wow — both were fantastic-flavor and fresh. My husband had Drew’s Italian sandwich on ciabatta bread which he really liked along with the potato salad. Attractive presentation and reasonable prices — my special was $ 9 including the side and drink!!! Wanted dessert, but was pleasantly full and it was late in the day. Our waitress Jessica was extremely helpful, informative and attentive. They also have a full bar. We plan to go back for dinner!

Such NPWH! After swiftly getting up to Jasper after a great lunch in Atlanta, on the«mountain part» of our weekend getaway, we checked into the sweet Woodbridge Inn and C took me on a *tour* of Jasper — I phrase it that way because Jasper is tiny. Charming, but tiny like… I am not even sure what because I don’t think I’ve been to a town, mountains or otherwise, that has one Main Street that is actually about half of what I’d consider a full, long street, and with such old school storefronts and signage that I felt like I was in another century! It was a fun change for this city girl! C still has a house there and is very familiar with the goings-on in Jasper and Pickens County. One of the places he used to eat often when he lived here full time and commuted to Atlanta was 61 Main. After he had me peruse the menu at the Woodbridge Inn Restaurant and 61 Main’s, we settled on the latter. Good thing we checked it out beforehand and thought to call about 7 to see how late they were open(somehow it was the city girl who thought to do this…) — they actually close at 8:30pm. On Saturday!(That’s in winter, ok, but in summer — it’s 9pm! Sometimes that’s when places in Atlanta are just getting going!). So call we did and they were pleased to assure us a table for 8pm and that we wouldn’t be rushed out at «closing.» The décor is interesting; we decided that the place, while all of it is nice, has kind of a split personality — if you pulled a curtain down the center of the restaurant, with your back to the front, your left side looks like a kind of dressed-up diner, with mild teal colored diner-esque booths lining a brick wall with prints of local animals and veggies and farm equipment(yes, one picture was of a hoe!), going along with their farm-to-table focus. On your right, there are black leather booths with super high(and comfy– we sat on this side and I took the booth side as usual) backs and the paintings on that wall are more modern-ish and color schemed to flow with the black and brick… in the middle on both«sides» are wooden table four-tops. As for the service, Maggie was lovely. One thing about«small towns» is that you pretty much find nice people everywhere! The food was great. C has always liked this place and I was looking forward to trying it. The mushroom appetizer — sauteed mushrooms with a little spinach, tomato and this yummy little triangled polenta cake– was absolutely wonderful. I stopped myself from eating more so I could have room for the rest! You get a soup, salad or side with your entrée and he picked the delicious tomato bisque(I tried a bite and it is definitely one of my faves of that soup!) and I got a simple house salad with(a very good) vinaigrette. He had the pick of the night, the seared grouper, with the lime grits(we were a little skeptical, never having had grits«with lime» before but they are great, not sweet, just a hint of citrus, plus garlic and s&p) and beets. I first went with the panko fried chicken, subbed the grits in, and parsnips; bernaise sauce on the side. It was ok, as far as the chicken — not bad, but not good, and definitely just enough on the dry side that it wasn’t a great order; I also thought the sauce wasn’t quite a typical bernaise(too sweet). He tried it too and agreed, and despite my protestations about getting something else(I honestly wasn’t sure i was hungry enough and this wasn’t a bad dish, really) he swiftly and politely talked to the manager and my chicken was gone and a grouper was on the way. I had tried to say I couldn’t eat all that but, I almost did… The staff was super sweet about the replacement and all that. The desserts looked great– I fleetingly considered the chocolate crème brûlée — but we had enjoyed plenty, and of course had that long drive down Main St back to the hotel! If you find yourself in Jasper, check out this good little spot.
