1 star for the large baked potato and the restaurant was nice and clean. The staff was attentive and polite. If this was called Ma Kettle’s diner and the prices were cheaper I’d rate it higher, however, this is a steak house and the cuts are not prime or choice. The prime rib is anything but prime. It was tough, no seasoned crust on the exterior, but it was a nice medium rare. This place was good years ago, but that time has passed. The meat is what I’d expect from a 24 hour diner or coffee shop, not a «steak house». The veggies are standard Sysco style food truck delivery fare and the soups n salads are nothing to write home about. If you’re ever stuck in Jean NV you will want to eat here as Denny’s is the alternative. My dinner guest said 2 stars as the staff was nice, the restaurant was clean, we’re in the boonies, and its average coffee shop food.

Microwaved lumpy potato, tough sinewy steak cooked from frozen(tough fat is a sure sign of this), pathetic salad, décor that makes you cringe… Avoid avoid avoid.

We had just planned on stopping in here, because, we had never been there. My expectations, was that it was going to be stinky and smokey. I was shocked! It wasn’t smokey and stinky. We walked around and looked at the few cars they had in there car museum. They had 3 cars from Fast and furious, the batman car, and the Scooby doo van, lol Other than that, none of the employees spoke to us or greeted us at all!

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I was with my party waiting for over 15 minutes before anyone even approached us. Finally when the manager came up to us he was beyond RUDE! When we asked how long it would be to be seated, he said he didn’t know. WTF? You work here and you don’t know? When we let him know we were waiting for a long time, he was rude and said it was still going to be a while. There were several open tables. He even suggested we should go to the Denny’s or the snack shop! He rudely took our name and then ledt. We’ve been waiting 20 minutes. Nobody else is waiting and there are lots of open tables. Don’t bother coming here. The only reason I even stepped in this hell hole, was because I was here for the Seed 9 Rally Race. Never again. You’ve been warned. You’re welcome.

We stopped here for a bathroom break on the long drive between Anaheim and St George, UT. We were also really hungry, and I stumbled upon the steak house as I was exploring the casino. We decided to have an early dinner, and were immediately seated. Vartan was our server, busboy and bartender, and was excellent at all his many duties. I had the New York strip, which was a perfect medium well, and my traveling companion had the Shrimp Scampi. The food was a throwback to the old school steak houses of the past — and I mean this in a good way. Even to the entrées being brought out on a table cloth covered rolling cart. The food was hot, the veggies still crisp and colourful, and the wine was affordable. Vartan was very attentive, and he went put of his way to accommodate other diner’s requests. We’ll definitely make the stop here on our next SoCal jaunt.

Wonderful food and service! We enjoyed the prime rib. It was perfectly cooked. The creamy horseradish sauce was a bit spicy, which the waiter warned us about. Hubby had the fully loaded potato soup which was delicious. The ranch dressing on the salad was very yummy. We will definitely be returning!

Hub and I went here on the 12th of Feb for a nice dinner. It was a Wednesday night and we were the second table to be seated. I ordered a glass of Cabernet for 5 dollars… pretty fair and hub got ice tea and really liked it. Our waiter took our order and we both got filet minion at only 21 dollars, this is the best price I have seen for one. Also, comes with choice of potato and soup or salad. Hub got soup, and I got salad. A few more people started to arrive… thankfully, for the service was a little too much in our face due to lack of customers. This helped a whole lot as our entrees arrived. Would have taken a picture, but got too excited and ate the whole meal before thinking about it. Both steaks were really good and the baked potatoes were awesome. A lot of butter comes with it, so scoop that off or prepare to eat at least 300 calories worth of butter. Atmosphere was really nice. Had we not been delightfully full, we would have ordered one of the five dollar desserts. Tab came out to 50 dollars even… what a bargain. The clientele did not dress for the occasion like we did, but it was still a great dinner with great service and fantastic atmosphere for old school dining. Really hoping this place will NOT ever go away…

We had been on the road for 6 days, stayed at the Gold Strike, decided to try the Steak House there, am I glad we did. Maybe the best meal of the trip. My daughter had the Shrimp Scampi, the shrimp was big and plump and the flavor was amazing. She said the pasta was perfect. My wife had the Prime Rib, it too was perfect, hot, tender, and full of flavor. I had the Chicken Marsala, best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had it all over the country. Full of flavor, not too sweet, chicken was tender not over cooked. The staff was very attentive even though they were short of help, the manager was having to bus tables and deliver food. My water glass never got empty. The reviews of the past, are just that, Past. Try this place you Won’t be disappointed. Make a reservation to be safe, the place is very cozy, maybe 15 tables.

Well worth five stars ! I ordered a Angus burger w/fries. And it was really good. it was med done with just enough seasoning. they give you plenty of fries which is good since its a big burger. The meat was soft and juicy, the bun was fried with butter which gave it a good taste. Some might say its grease but I loved it Lol. The steak my hubby got was prime rib, looked good, needed a tiny bit more seasoning but then again I like my food on the salty side, but cook perfect. The salad was good(yes its regular lettuce) but it was good with the blue cheese dressing. not sure if the salad dressing is home made but it had plenty of chucks of cheese. I think its best to try and build your own opinions. The Waiter was Russian with thick accent, not that friendly but okay.

Chicken soup was great full of flavor and just the right temp. Calamari was lightly breaded and had a nice seasoning that made it so the marinara was not needed. Prime rib was cooked perfectly(medium) the prime rib was easy to cut and chew. The exterior was seasoned and blacked amazing. The flavor on this is one that will not soon be forgotten. The au jus sauce was placed on the side and was perfect for dipping the center parts that had a little less flavor. The steak house burger was very surprising. I was not expecting too much but it turned out to be one of the best burgers that I have had in a long time. The burger had the perfect balance of bun to veggie to meat ratio. The sauce on this was not your every day thousand island that you get on any other burger. The French fry’s that came with this were nice and crispy. They stayed crispy throughout the entire meal. I would strongly recommend that you try this place if you are in the area. The restaurant is very small and has a nice feel about it. Call ahead if you don’t want to wait long. Over all the service very slow. The food however made the wait worth it.

I had a burger here a few years ago, and it was perhaps the best restaurant burger I’ve ever had… And it was affordable too. I believe it was around $ 10 at the time. That’s why I give it five stars.

I had hoped this place would be good because it got good reviews and I was too lazy to drive from Primm to Vegas for dinner. Fact is, this place hasn’t probably changed much since it opened. The service was good but bringing your food out on a trolley is a little cheesy given it’s the 21st century. The food itself was mediocre. I had chicken picata which was overseasoned and my friend had the NY strip which was pretty dry. We both ordered mashed potatoes which were disgusting. If you’re staying nearby and want to spend good money on a mediocre meal, by all means, try it out Just don’t go expecting much.

The Steak House in the Gold Strike. BARF!!! stopped by Sat 3−15−14 for my favorite Prime Rib. In my opinion it was re-heated from the night before. I had about a cup of chewed meat so full of grissel, up the price and buy a better cut of meat for God sakes. Never again. Open the Café back up they had the Bomb Prime Rib… Place is going down hill

I thought this was a great steakhouse. Its very intimate and small so it doesn’t hold a lot of people. They recommend reservations but don’t open til 5:00 so you get voice mail before that. We had a 6:00 reservation walked right in. The service was a little slow but we were kind of in a hurry to get to a concert at Buffalo Bills. Prices are just right for a steakhouse. $ 16 for Prime Rib, very good. And comes with salad or soup & potato & vegetable. My friend had Filet Mignon for $ 21. She said it was good. The salad was real good and I thought all around the food was good! So did the other 3 people with me. The other one got a Rib Eye which was the special that night. I would recommend eating here.
