Been to Frankie & Augie’z a few times and this last time was pretty good. Great place to bring a family as your kids can get pizza(really good pizza, too) and adults can get pretty good Italian food. Chicken Guiseppi was excellent. Like chicken scarp in a creamy sauce. Marsala was excellent as well. Lots of food and service is very good. Only thing that is sub par is the«bread» which is really just cooked pizza crust. Did I mention the Groupon deals? Don’t go unless you buy one first. The Groupn deals are TERRIFIC! Give them a try! I’d give 3.5 stars if I could.

I recently moved from the Bronx and by chance, ordered our first pizza in the area from Frankie and Augue’z. We ordered two pies, one plain, one pepperoni and a house salad. After one bite, I knew i didn’t have to try any other place! The pizza is delicious and the staff there is very friendly! They make food fresh to order so there is never any worry we’re going to get 5 hour old pizza they made when opening! Their house dressing is AMAZING too! It’s like a sweet balsamic, that is a perfect balance of sweet and savory! The wife and I order out from there at least once a week and are excited to dine in with our son. Place is very family friendly and welcoming! Also, try their spinach rolls! They are freshly made and amazing!

If don’t mind dining with flies that bite or poor service– go for it! Owner could care less about his business. Pie was not very good at all. Be sure to be very specific as to brick oven as they serve both and while when you’re are pointing to the menu it says brick oven above. 4 starving people count even eat ½ the pie. The kids having been laughing since we left because another couple in the parking lot was overhead saying«well now we know another restaurant to avoid». My bad should have checked the reviews and I would have seen the 1 star just 5 days ago.

I had a Groupon for 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 glasses of wine. I went with my cousin, who had been there numerous times. We shared the hot antipasto appetizer. It was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. They gave us 2 stuffed clams, 2 shrimp, 2 mussels, and 2 little eggplant strips stuffed with cheese. It was a nice size. There was also a bread basket with dipping oil. We both ordered Shrimp Francaise as our entrée. We did not want pasta, so they gave my cousin mixed vegetables, and me spinach instead. The entrees come with salad, as well. We both got the balsamic vinaigrette. It was good, but a little sweet for my liking. My cousin loves it, though. We seemed to wait a long time for our entrees, which was just as well, because I was already full. The shrimp over the spinach was really good. I loved the sauce, too. They also give you a nice portion. My cousin loved her shrimp and vegetables. I was so full, I took ½ my entrée home. My daughter ate it, when I hot home, and she loved it. We had to pay a little extra, because the Groupon only covered up to $ 18.95 per entrée. But that is alright. The entrée was worth the little bit extra. I would definitely go back.

What can I say? I was in the mood for meatballs one night so my lazy boyfriend rolled his eyes about 100xs and after the «Where do you wanna go?» back and forth I took initiative and we went to Frankie & Augiez. This place holds a special place in our hearts because we used to come here every Tuesday for pizza lunch dates during our courtship. This was the place were I had told him that we’d NEVERHAVESEX and that we should stay friends. Haha 2 years later… lol Anyways, the food & service has always been consistent, the servers are pretty knowledgable on their wines, it’s a family run joint and you can feel it when you walk in. That’s really big for me, the places vibe has to be good as well as food, atmosphere, etc… Come have the meatballs their friggin amazin!!! Pastas al dente, never had any real complaints. PIZZAISDELISH Atmosphere is cool, full house everytime I’ve gone. Have fun and mange… however you spell it, I’m Puerto Rican not Italian!

Ask for their gourmet slices! Great pizza and Italian food. Pizzeria with a menu full of classics. Chicken parm, ravioli, calzones, the list goes on. Next time I will order ahead, pizza is made fresh and sometimes takes a few minutes to come to the table. Second time, and both times where great. Even had a kids menu for my 5 yr old nephew. Thanks guys keep up the good work!

Nice choice for what appears to be an inconspicuous restaurant. Food very good, choices and options fairly standard for a family Italian joint. Service above average. We were not rushed and that is something I look for. Accommodating for picky teenagers which is a plus for us. Wine selection limited but reasonable. Ambiance fairly standard and comfortable. Very reasonable cost.

We have had two major and recent events here and they never disappoint. The food is delicious and always excellent! Wait staff are helpful and accommodating. The whole experience is great! Frankie is a pleasure to work with and our events ran smoothly. Portion sizes are excellent. I come home with leftovers and my husband and I enjoy their food for additional meals during the week. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

This place has potential to be great however the food tastes really bland. We went here on the Groupon. They honored it without any issues like most places try to pull on you when you go there. The bottled beer was a tad warm. The pasta was really nasty. I feel bad for writing such a negative review, but hopefully this gets them to focus on the quality. The service was not really interested. They all seem shot. I will Def not come here again. It was in the area and last minute plan. If you think the food tastes great here… You need to check your taste buds for malfunction. For the details We came in and walked in front of the sign that said wait to be seated. The girl behind the bar came quickly and I think she pointed at the table and then disappeared. We didn’t know where to sit. We then just walked to the back and sat there. The waiter came by and gave us water and explained the Groupon and we got a couple of nice warm beers to start. We ordered wings as apps… Medium. After finishing the large salad bowls. The wings were dropped off by UPS or someone. We didn’t see him it happened so fast. They were fried chicken. No sauce no spice no blucheese all good. I’m fat I at them. Then the massive entrées came. Hot and right out of hell like the devil threw them out cause he didn’t like them. The baked ziti was not baked. It was like penne alla vodka. The penne alla vodka that my gf ordered was orange. She said it was the worst. Usually she only says that about me. The waiter was nice and asked me if we wanted to get it to go. I said yes. He packed it and we threw it in the trash outside so no one had to suffer eating that thang. Haha just kidding we didn’t get it to go.

This restaurant never disappoints! The warm rolls are amazing especially with the oil and garlic dip. Chicken parm dinner was fantastic. Nice big portion and the sauce tastes like home made. Very friendly and efficient service and it is so nice to see a family working together! Keep up the great work. They offer a coupon which has some really good deals on dinner for two etc.

We have given this restaurant several tries and we are always disappointed with it. The chicken fingers are over fried, burnt and super thin. We threw them out. The chicken Alfredo was horrible. The sauce was like water, the pasta was cooked with no salt and the chicken was like rubber. It was grose! The pizza was ok and my kids liked the penne vodka. I’ve given this place too many tries but I am not wasting my money there anymore. It gets worse and worse. I would be surprised if it stays open.

You cant beat Happy Hour here. Have been here twice and enjoyed it immensely. Order at the bar and all appetizers are $ 5.00 You can make a meal on one or two appetizers as they are fairly good size. I had the calamari and a special salad one time and the cold antipasto the second time. I will be back.

We have eaten here about 5 times. The first two, in 2012, were good. Over the past 6 months things have gone down hill and we’ve now sworn off this restaurant. Food has been unappetizing with the worst offense being the sauce! Most Italian restaurants have great sauce. The sauce at this restaurant is like Campbell’s tomato soup. I’ve never tasted anything so awful-pale pink with a creamy milky texture. I love pasta and I can honestly say that this was the first time I left an entire bowl of pasta uneaten and didn’t even want to bring home the leftovers. When comparing experiences with my friend, her first words were«the sauce is horrible.»

Had dinner with the family around 6:30… Family style salad, chicken bacon ranch pizza and pepperoni pizza. Overall the place is a typical italian restaurant and has some cozy qualities inside. The house dressing was awesome and so was the bread and olive oil dip at the table. Waiters were young but attentive enough and were quite friendly. The only thing I didn’t enjoy much was the chardonnay– tasted watered down and made me a little nauseated later that night(and no I’m not a lightweight… unfortunately.) Pizza was not the best I’ve had but it was a 6.5 out of 10. I would return if someone suggested it and would try other things on the menu

The best pizza in town. The owners are a really nice and hardworking family. They recently put in a beautiful bar that compliments the restaurant and is perfect for sitting to have a meal or grabbing a drink while you wait for your pie. Ask for a side of bleu cheese to go with your pizza. You won’t be disappointed.

The salads were surprisingly good here but unfortunatley that’s as good as it got. The fettuccine Alfredo was watered down, which may be a personal discrepancy because most Italian restraunts in the area make it overly thick, which I enjoy. The veal Marsala was well made but a little small. The atmosphere was a bit plain, the place has a lot of potential.

*SIGH* I really want to like this place but I’ve ordered take out from them with the exact same order FOUR times and ALLFOURTIMES my order has been messed up or missing something. Tonight(and every other time) I ordered the Clipper Magazine Coupon deal… Family Meal for $ 25… it includes: 1 Large Pie, 10 Wings, 8 Garlic Knots, Salad with choice of dressing, and a 2 liter bottle of soda… WELL.. .. The ‘large’ pie was not so large, more like a medium pie . .. . The 8 Garlic Knots were very doughy and came without marinara sauce . .. . The ‘10’ count of wings were missing 2… tonight we got 8 wings(with NO blue cheese dressing)… I’m sorry but I can’t eat hot wings with no dressing… . .. . The salad was pretty good with their house dressing . .. . The 2 liter soda(I told the girl on the phone I wanted a Diet Coke… hubby came home with Sprite. GRRR!) **Over all we have never been happy with our take out service. Not too sure if we will ever order from here again… :-/

Service was great. Appetizer(Calamari special) was very good. However, entrees were sub par at best. Veal Valdostano was bland and accompanied by very little sauce. Pork chops was tasteless and tough. But the worst and embarrassing for the cook was the Fettuccine Alfredo which was made without Parmesan Cheese in the sauce. In hindsight we should have sent it back. I’ve eaten here several times with my family and this was by far the worst meal experience I encountered. I’m hoping this was a one off experience and will not happen again. One last note is the value to cost for dinning here. I find the cost of the meal is well on the expensive side for the quality of food served.
