Our bedroom was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the breakfast was more about presentation than about flavor. The food was tasteless, skimpy and barely warm. The quiche was straight out of the freezer section of a grocery store. The sausage patty tasted like it was microwaved. We felt that staying in a motel would have been preferable.

Donna and her husband are fantastic hosts. The house is beautiful and the breakfasts and amenities worthy of a repeat visit.
The house is a straight shot to downtown Jefferson. I walked to and from Benefield House, even in the rain. The house is beautifully decorated. There is a Keurig for your convenience and Donna makes darn good cookies!
The Bluebird Room, where I stayed, was absolutely delightful. The bed was comfortable; there was a sitting area where I relaxed in the room; there’s even a CD player with relaxing music, if you so wish.
At breakfast, Donna is accommodating to dietary needs (I’m diabetic). I felt full and the breakfast was full of delightful flavors.
You’ll do yourself a favor by staying at Benefield House, if you should find yourself in or near Jefferson.
