Solid small town coffee shop/café with good coffee and food. Great staff and friendly environment for getting some work done.

Delicious paninis, never thought much of them until I tried this one! Can’t say much about anything else on the menu just yet. Will definitely return.

Very impressed to say the least. I’m an egg and potatoes breakfast guy, and was amazed at how good the twice baked oatmeal(with a side of yogurt) was. A masterfully made triple caramel curtodo put the finishing touch on a great breakfast. A new favorite in the Jefferson area!

We eat here probably once or twice a month, for lunch on a weekend. I usually get the Italiano, with some hot peppers. The soup is yummy, also! Their coffee is delicious! I like to have it in a nice regular cup, instead of a throw-away up. Their baristas are friendly and professional, and even if they are slammed, they are patient to put my «extras» on my sandwich. The restaurant section is a nice place to relax and chill out. There are some nice spots by the window, where families and groups of people sometimes gather. Sometimes we will get have our scout group together there, when we get locked out of the church.

We were driving from Milwaukee to Madison and Unilocaled a local lunch establishment and bingo, this place appeared. Drove 15 minutes off the beaten track and back in time to Jefferson; quaint and blue collaresque. This local joint served delicious panini, soups and salads all very homemade with fresh ingredients. Worth the trip.

I loved this little restaurant right in Jefferson. As an out of towner, I was looking for something local and delicious and ended up staying in Brickhaus for a few hours. The food was phenomenal(I ate a pesto, mozzarella panini) and the coffees were delicious. If you’re passing through, or live in Jefferson, be sure to check this place out!

Very good food. Atmosphere is very nice as well. You can sit and relax if you choose to. Here’s a secret tip of mine, try the Rascal. It is to die for! The only downside is that some days it can be very packed but that’s business.

I’m kind of in love with this place. I’m kicking myself a bit for not having been to Brickhaus until now — almost a year of living in Jefferson. This place is exactly the type of place I’ve been missing. For starters — it’s adorable. I also love the option of outdoor dining! Food wise — I really enjoyed the ½ and ½ option. I opted for a Reuben and a Greek salad. My only minor complaint was the excessive amount of dressing on the salad. The carrot and hummus side was a pleasant surprise. Yum! My husband enjoyed the caprese panini and Caesar! The kids loved the grilled cheese — so did I! I find them to be well priced and delicious. I have a feeling we’re about to become regulars!

Great little spot in the middle of Jefferson. Sandwiches, soups, bakery, protein shakes etc. The atmosphere inside and out make the place rather inviting. The outdoor patio offers a lot of seating in the shade and in the sun.

What a great little spot! I was in town for a meeting last week, and happened upon the Brickhaus Café with a coworker. Upon entry, it looked super tiny… but there are more tables and seating around the corner from the cash register/counter. I ordered a chicken caprese panini and chicken dumpling soup, and I loved that they offered me the option of chips or carrots. The food was served up quickly, and it was delicious. My colleague and I grabbed a booth and tapped away on our laptops over lunch, and we both opted for lattes after lunch. Brickhaus did get busy around noonish, so make sure you plan for that. Oh, and don’t forget to grab a slice of banana cake with cream cheese frosting — SOGOOD! If you’re not a banana person, they also have cookies and cupcakes the size of your head, too!

Brickhaus rocks! I have gotten lunch there twice, once take-out, and another time dine-in. Their iced tea is fab: always freshly brewed, even in the dead of winter. I’ve gotten their«take two combo,» in which you can choose among half a sandwich, salad, or cup of soup, plus you get a choice of hummus and carrots or homemade potato chips. ANDIT’S UNDER $ 9. I can eat, and this is a ton of food. And it’s good. Their Greek salad is loaded up with feta, olives, and fresh veggies. I’ve gotten the Red Hot panini sammie both times, with turkey, bacon, pepper jack, jalapeño, spinach, and a spiced mayo of some kind… plus chips! Plus an iced tea. They can get busy at lunch, but if you call ahead, they are super nice about taking an order to go… and then you could always decide to eat there. The café space is really pleasant, with some booths, big windows, clean… and they have a garden that’s open in warmer weather.

Jefferson isn’t traditionally known for its fresh food joints. In a city of processed and fried goodness this place really stands out and would hold it’s own against some Madison favorites. Fresh, simple ingredients are where it’s at! Their baked goods are delectable and they have super yummy coffee. I’m in love with their caprese panini. Crispy bread, spinach, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil pesto makes this a winner in my book. The cheese is perfectly melted and the panini itself is huge! It’s basically two sandwiches. It’s good that it’s huge because you will eat it all! And then you devour their house made chips. If chips aren’t your thing they also offer carrots and hummus. Their place is tiny and I suspect their kitchen is even smaller. This is not a place to grab something quick. Plan on savoring a cup of coffee or two while waiting for your lunch. They are really great about take out orders and are happy to do so. If you are in a rush, call ahead and have it ready when you arrive. You can always take your to-go containers to a cozy booth and enjoy there. This place is a little gem in Jefferson!

(4) ~ very good overall food & service. Although it seems small when you walk in, there’s actually another dining room area on the other side with about(6) booths. Place you’re order at the Counter and they’ll bring out the food when ready. Kinda like Corner Bakery does;) And yes they take Credit Cards;) MYMENU: * Bavarian Pretzel Bites w. Dips =(4) very good * «Rascal» Beef Sandwich =(4) very good * Potato Chips =(3) ok * DESSERTS = Looked good, but will have to try next time;)

Went here for lunch and ordered the pick two combo with apple walnut salad and portabella sandwich. I loved it. The salad was sweet with plenty of toppings and the cheese on the sandwich was tasty. I plan to go back one morning to try the appetizing coffee menu.

This is such a great Café! One of the best places to open up in Jefferson in a long time. They did such a great job renovating when the moved in. It has a nice casual relaxing atmosphere. The paninis are great. Whenever, I’m in Jefferson for lunch this is where I go.

The sandwiches we ordered were quite good, but don’t come here if you have a schedule to keep. It took almost half an hour to make 1 smoothie and 4 sandwiches. They seem to specialize in panninis, but you’d swear up and down they only have one grill and one employee with the amount of time it took to get our order and go. We stopped in during a break for Ragnar Relay and wanted something quick. Two of the people on our team had already been there about 10 minutes before us, had ordered, and were still waiting on their smoothie and sandwiches. I ordered 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with pesto sauce and feta. I didn’t even get to eat it until nearly two hours later because we had to grab it and run, literally. It was still quite tasty later that afternoon, but I’d have liked to have had time to enjoy it while it was fresh. While waiting for them to prepare it, other people in the van kept checking on us and asking how much longer it would be. We stood around, looked in back and paced the café. It felt like an eternity and would have maybe been understandable if a single person with a single sandwich press were working there, but 2 people were working the front and 2 more people came out of the back. Halfway through another employee came in and then someone else from the back came out and asked if we were waiting for something. Yes! We’ve *been* waiting!
