Redd’s Que & Stew

Okay so five stars for a BBQ place that is out of the way and could be a close friend serving BBQ in their house. Well that is the whole point!!! This is one of the most friendly restaurants I have ever been to. All about family and friends serving down home great food — yes basic but hearty and very tasty. Some would say it is long in the tooth but in this case it just feels right.
Full of locals hanging out for a good meal. Run by a family that is is obvious puts their soul into the place.
I had a pulled pork BBQ sandwich with 2 sides. Basic but flawless in it’s simplicity. The BBQ was made with care. I especially appreciated that I sat on the porch with a really nice view and people enjoying and families out for a nice dinner. It just warms my heart that these places still exist in a land of chains.
I had to have the desert as well. all homemade pies. just like mom would make.
So yes 5 stars for a restaurant that is just what it says it is. basic homemade food. cooked and served with love. They even have a money back guarantee on the menu. can’t imagine anyone would ever need to ask. but nice touch. (see my picture of it). No one is getting rich here. they just love serving hearty food at an extremely great price!
If you are in the area very well worth you time and a little money for a great meal and become part of a tradition that I hope never ends!!!

This was my first visit to this restaurant. It’s out in the middle of nowhere, but full of charm. Barbecue pork and barbecue beef (which was on special) was excellent. A friend had the peanut butter pie that it was great. Everyone enjoyed their food including barbecue chicken and pulled pork sandwiches. Absolutely love vinegary mustard sauce it was excellent.
The only reason this restaurant didn’t get a 5 star is because they didn’t have any vegetables on the menu. Since I don’t eat carbs, I just had a plate of meat. Which was fine by me, but I would have liked to see some green beans or a salad. We’ll be back!

Nice cozy atmosphere especially in the glassed in porch overlooking the hill. As for the food-it’s ok. Tasty burgers but small for the price. BBQ good, stew is vinegar based so we doctor it up a bit. Sauce also vinegar based.

What a find! Great barbecue and great prices. Really good selection. Out in the middle of nowhere, but definitely worth the drive. If you find yourself in the area, you should definitely check this place out. The owners are nice and friendly. Great service. We had the pork plate with stew, slaw and beans. All of it was really good. My daughter had a cheeseburger that was delicious too.
