Third time was a charm! We used to go to New Orleans Steakhouse years ago, so when we heard that they were reopening, we had to go check it out. So we went. First time back was not a great experience, food was kind of bland(lobster capellini and mushroom ravioli) and my pet peeve, the service, was really non existent. Crappy service bothers me more than anything, and our waiter plain disappeared after taking our orders. We went back a few weeks later with friends who wanted to try it too. Figured there’s going to be glitches in a newly opened restaurant, and were willing to give it another try. This time we again felt disappointed, even though we went with the safe bet of pizza. The appetizers(wings and bang bang shrimp) were again bland and under seasoned, and while service was more attentive we had to keep flagging our waitress down for extra dressing, drink refills, etc. The margherita pizza was really good though. So the other week we stopped in, kids in tow, to get a quick pizza again, and had the pleasure of unexpected and outstanding service! Our server Mark set a welcoming and homey tone to our dinner experience. He was not only professional and knowledgeable, but warm and friendly, he genuinely seemed to care that we were happy with our food and restaurant experience. What a treat! We ended up taking his suggestion and tried the whiskey ribs, which were fall off the bone delicious, and also the mac and cheese, which i would not normally order at a restaurant, but was also absolutely perfect. The kids loved the pizza of course. The last time was a 5 star dinner experience, and we will definitely be back.

I will keep this simple, the food was really good! I was impressed with the décor especially since I had been to it’s predecessor(RIP New Orleans steakhouse) so that was my first pleasant surprise and after reading some Unilocal reviews I didn’t have great hopes, but maybe other Unilocalers are really picky because this place is a solid 4 stars in my opinion. Let me tell you what we had, mushroom bruschetta for the app, an interesting app that I loved. The chicken and waffles, total win and the red beans and rice dish was just really tasty. I couldn’t stop eating my dish and the serving size was big enough for me to take it home and have lunch next day. I look forward to going back and trying other items from the menu.

Went on last night around 6:30 and was told 20 – 25 minute wait. Not bad, right? Except it was a little over an hour wait. The hostess was not a good judge of time. Our waiter Jeff was great. Very personable and efficient. I had the pork belly mac and cheese which was kind of bland. Other dishes at our table were Chicken and Waffles which was good and a burger which was just your regular burger. Not sure if it was worth the wait.

Dry over spiced Ribs and a bar fight«UFC» style between two patrons requiring the police, doesn’t make for an enjoyable night out. The staff is polite and helpful but the food is just ok, not impressed!

Tried Taphouse 15 last night for the first time since it opened. A good friend of ours was to perform there so we decided to go have dinner and see his show. Although the parking lot was pretty packed at 830pm we were able to find a spot to park. The place was jamming as I have heard since it opened and we expected a lengthy wait for a table which was indeed the case when we checked in. It was well worth the 50min wait. We got some drinks at the bar and waited in the bar area. The hostesses at the front desk were very welcoming and friendly and explained their wait process by taking your cell number and they text you with updates on your table! We finally were able to get a nice cozy booth in the bar area right near where the entertainment was setting up. Our waiter Mark was extremely friendly and efficient. We decided to order drinks and apps. They have an amazing beer list of bottled and tap beer. I enjoyed my wine as well! The apps we ordered were excellent. Deviled eggs, which I love and are rare to find on a menu. They were made with a nice mustard and a tiny piece of bacon on top w a baby gerkin pickle. We also tried the pork taquitos. Great flavor and dipping sauce. Our entrees were top notch as well. I ordered the hanger steak. It was prepared exactly how I ordered it as medium rare and was accompanied with potato au gratin and a vegetable medley. My husband had the smokehouse burger and he said it was amazing! We were so full from everything we ordered so I cannot report on dessert but I would guess that would be good also! We will definitely be back! The owner/manager even came to our table after we finished to see how everything was. We had a great time ! Oh and the music was perfect! Go check out when Ciro Patti performs next time! Id like to also add after reading other reviews here that I felt the prices for drinks and food were very reasonable in comparison to many places in the area that serve similar food. My hanger steak was $ 20. In my opinion that is a reasonable price for a steak that was a decent portion and cooked very well.

I went here on a Friday night for a friend’s birthday. First of all, the décor is lovely — very bright and modern. There’s a general bar area and some booths near the bar area. There’s another area that has quieter seating. We had the seating by the bar area. It was a bit loud, but I’m guessing that if we inquired, we could have been moved to a quieter spot. Good beer list with a mixture conventional beers and craft beers. Taphouse offers flights too, which is always welcome. Our waiter was attentive and checked in with us frequently(but not too much to the point where it would be annoying). Food was good. I had the apple/brie grilled cheese with fries. The meal was delicious! My friend had a burger and fries– presentation could’ve been a bit nicer. She ordered the burger medium rare and it came out significantly more cooked than she wanted. After speaking with waiter, the burger was taken off our bill. Later, the manager came to our table and gave us a $ 10 gift card for future visit. Taphouse clearly is out there to please its customers. Overall, I would try Taphouse 15 again. My only issues with the place are as follows: 1) I do feel that the food portions are small. If I went back with my husband, I know that he would need nachos or some other app, in addition to a burger or whatever other fare he ordered as an entrée. 2) They had a DJ on the night we went to Taphouse. The DJ area was situated in an odd spot and the music was obnoxiously loud.

Facility is well done. Kindly and quickly greeted at the door by hostess and seated at bar in no time. Bartender was knowledgeable on beer selection and offered my brother and I something to drink before both cheeks were on the seat. Manager came over and made sure we had a free sample of a local brewer’s beer(not mentioning names, not here to promote), that was nice. Appetizer: Pork belly. Small portion but I can understand why: The quality was OUTSTANDING! Melted away, absolutely delicious and refreshingly different. Just what I was looking for. Food came out in reasonable amount of time. The place was comfortably busy. Not overly crowded and not dead by any means. Had chicken and waffles. Was good! Happy with my choice. Brother got the NY Strip and said it was good. Looked like his steak was cooked as ordered. Menu was nice. Had a blend of different and exciting stuff while offering traditional American dishes like steak and burgers. Something for everyone. Try that pork belly! The ONLYNEGATIVECOMMENT I HAVE: I have worked in the food service industry for almost 13 years now and have been out to eat 2,000 + times from St. Thomas to Boston. Vegas to NYC. I feel that the staff needs to find their flow a little more. I sensed a little confusion among the team members in terms of who should be doing what and when, etc. I believe they could be a little more proactive in general. Not trying to get anyone in trouble. Just saying the overall feeling I picked up. BUT they are new so, I’m sure it will improve. And this is not really towards the bar staff. Bar staff was pretty good and they were helping each other, cleaning up, interacting, etc. They had a decent flow. Overall: Happy this is in my general neighborhood! Seems like a cool place! Looking forward to trying more on the menu with my wife!

The place is nicely remodeled from the old place. Food is average. Chef unwilling to accommodate simple requests which left a bad impression on us. The burgers and sandwiches are a wide variety and their pizza is brick oven and tasty. The Cuban sandwich though was so drenched in spicy mustard it wasn’t edible as presented. The help is nice and attentive. Might be back to try it again.

I was expecting something very different when I stopped in for lunch yesterday. One friend had called it an upscale TGIFridays. My biggest fear was that even though they called it a Taphouse they ere going to four pr five mediocre selections. Well all my concerns were unfounded. This place is an absolute home run. Starting with the very upscale décor. The place is beautiful, spacious and light so different from the New Orleans house it replaces. Then there is the tap… TWENTYFOUR great selections! plus what looks to be another 50 bottles! Now the menu. Yes it’s bar food… but it is very creative bar food. I had the Smokehouse Burger–(BBQ Beef Brisket, Cheddar Cheese, Coleslaw) sure a little pricey at $ 14… but not in this upscale environment. My wife had the Fun Guy Burger(Grilled Portobello Mushroom, Fontina Cheese, Garlic Aioli) and loved it. It is as good a burger as I have ever had… a light char on the outside and perfectly medium rare on the inside… that isn’t easy to do! Great fries too! The kitchen is fast. The place was hopping for lunch an our burgers were out in a flash. I imagine the pizzas take a little longer. I can’t wait to com back and try one. Thin crust pizza is another art form and glancing at other tables it looks like they have mastered it. I’m truly shocked by the 1 star reviews for this place… most of them contain the phrase… «it was great BUT»… you can’t give a place 1 star if your review contains the word great and you can’t give a bad review because you wanted the rjetausrant to be something different! I would only give 4 stars as the service wasn’t perfect and you really have to be above and beyond for 5 stars… but I am giving 5 stars to offset those ridiculous 1 star reviews. This place is great. Everyone was happy in that room… including the staff. The parking lot has been full since they opened… I guess thats the best review of all!

First off — I am NOT a fan. The four stars ONLY for our server Mark. He was attentive, courteous, FUNNY and efficient. And the beer gets four stars. They really do have a fantastic list for New Jersey. However, if you want a tummy ache and a chaotic environment, by all means come eat here. If you want tasteless(literally no seasoning) fish tacos, eat here. If you want hideous over sauced wings, eat here. If you want the wrong sauces brought out and then are told they«don’t have» the dressing you want(In a HUGE place), eat here. And lastly — if you want a dessert that makes Supermarket cake seem delish, eat here. No. No. No. And NO again — A complete waste of money — again — Four stars for Mark!

Walked in to a server screaming at the hostess… classy. Fortunate our server was far nicer and extremely attentive. Beer selection is very good. A nice blend log micros. The very presence of Carton on their menu shows they’re willing to work a bit harder to get good stuff. If they could translate that to the kitchen it would be nice. The presentation of the food, like the décor, is beautiful. The food lacks any element of flavor of even some of the most basic concepts in food prep. I.E. The fat cap was left on the brisket, which should never be done in a blind presentation. When sliced and placed on a plate sure. But when covered with cheese and prefab slaw, the diner can’t tell when they’re going to get a mouth full of plain fat. My wife had a sandwich that had been pressed… dry. Jeeze… dry. Not a little bit of press spray or butter guys? It’s like eating turkey(deli turkey at that) between two croutons. Forgot to mention, the backwaiter was just plain rude. Not only to us, but I saw him give similar treatment to at least 2 other tables. A «here’s your goddamn food» kind of attitude. I get that there are growing pains in any new establishment, so I can ignore the slow kitchen. But basic food prep and attitude are not excusable.

I have been so excited for another restaurant to open in this area and Taphouse 15 did not disappoint. Great interior and a great place to meet for drinks. They have an excellent beer list of places near and far. I have been twice. First time I had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. Delicious. Nice and flavorful. And I had chocolate lava cake. So good. Came for lunch a second time and had their Apple and Brie grilled cheese. Also good. I should also mention the spiced Moscow mule. Their bar tenders are great. This drink was delicious and not watered down and came in the traditional cup which added to the fun. I had great service both times. They were helpful and enthusiastic. Needless to say I will be back many more times. For dinner or drinks. Highly recommended!

First off let me start by saying they did an amazing job renovating this building. With that said it was just«eh.» I got the fun guy burger(great name btw), but the burger itself was nothing amazing. The fries were almost soggy, and the prickle was salty. Nothing worth complaining to the manager about, but nothing to rave about. The hubs got the garlic chicken sandwich. The chicken didn’t really taste garlicky, and they gave it to him on the wrong bread. It came on a ciabatta and it’s supposed to be on focaccia. He had yellow squash as the side, instead of fries, and those were simply cooked in olive oil salt and pepper(I think) — and they were the highlight of the dish. All of the craft beers are HEAVY– everything is either an IPA, stout, or a porter. They need more variety and really need to get someone in there that knows beers. You can’t be a taphouse with a large selection of such limited types of beer. Beer is also over priced IMO. So with all of that said, I’ll go back and if they impress me I’ll change my review. I know they’re new and have some kinks to work out… I don’t know if the awesomeness of the building raised my expectations– but the quality of the food didn’t match the quality of the renovation.

Came here twice 12⁄15 and 1⁄16. On 12⁄15 sat in dining area had burgers, steak, chicken lasagna, calamari app. Food was average and service was a bit slow. On 1⁄16 sat at the bar had pizza and steak salad, beer sampler, Bloody Mary. Pizza and steak salad were excellent. Beer sampler was great(minus my cracked glass), Bloody Mary very bland. Service was good. Place has a nice atmosphere hopefully in time they will improve.

first off, this establishment’s facebook page had«reviews» and«likes» two solid weeks before they even opened ! I visited 1 week after their actual opening. the interior is fantastic, both in space and décor. lots of TV screens. friendly staff. parking lot has been nearly full every time since their actual opening, so be prepared for that. beer selection is pretty good, though the staff weren’t well versed in what they had. they were similarly inexperienced in the operation of the TVs. hopefully both of these improve shortly. the food is slightly overpriced, and nothing special taste-wise. this location is ripe for a very successful establishment, as there is nothing similar anywhere nearby. it is slick, and perhaps too slick. it may flourish, simply because the locals don’t know what a true beer garden is supposed to be like.

Tried this place for a light dinner on Dec 31 around 5pm. Nice inviting décor but the chairs in the dining room are too low. Felt like I needed a booster seat! We ordered the hummus and pizza with beef brisket topping. Hummus was a little salty. Pizza was good but hardly any beef brisket on our pizza. Also beef brisket had barbecue sauce on it and I didn’t expect or want that! Our server was not good. She never came back to check on us until we were done! She was not friendly either. Seemed upset to be working. Would I go back? Yes and order pizza again since that was good!

Been here twice now. Cocktails were horribly mixed but beer selection is decent. Had a burger the first time, fries were undercooked, burger was well done(asked for medium) — this was after they confused our order with another table and had to put it back into the system again. Second time I ordered the seared tuna sandwich and the«fresh» bun was actually frozen in the middle. Fries were terrible again. Meal was expensive for such low quality being put in the food. Couple behind us talked to the manager about how bad their meal was. Not coming back here.

Wow! Should have spent less on the décor and more on learning how to run a restaurant and cook. Stopped in last night to a packed place. Good sign, right? Wrong. Saw friends at the bar who gave us the heads up… Pizza was served to them cold and sketchy service at the bar. After ten minutes of sitting there, finally got one of the perhaps 6 – 8 bartenders to take our order. Years if bartending myself, it was easy to see there was no rhyme nor reason to how they sectioned off the bar so each barkeep knew their area and service the people in it. First, we had hummus. Highlight of the evening. Good pita bread and two equally delicious bowls of hummus. Kudos to the preparer. Then came the rest: wings with truffle seasoning. Was beyond overly salted and oily breading. Sat on my stomach the entire night. The pork chop was basically raw and had to be sent back. Was dried out upon return and heavy on the salt again! Have found that places that use too much salt are usually trying to cover up cheaper cuts of meat(merely my opinion and not a scientifically proven fact. lol). The last thing we had was the grilled cheese with apple. The apple was sliced crosswise, still had the chewy skin and core in it. Really? Bit into the sandwich and could not get the apple to break off, thus, got one mouthful of apple and then had a plain grilled cheese sandwich to finish. Core and skin the apple and cut in easy to chew slices… cooking 101… and take the 50# bag of salt away from the chef while you’re at it. I know they just opened last Monday, but that doesn’t offset the less than average food. Sorry, don’t think it’s going to stay so packed except for the bar scene with the numerous beers on tap.

We came here for drinks and dinner after work. The service was top notch. The place was packed however that never stopped us from feeling like a top priority. Our waiter did a wonderful job and a few others came by to check in which was nice for a place that just opened. We never felt rushed in anyway and able to enjoy our evening. They did a great job with the décor and layout of this place. There is a mix of seating options from quieter areas, the bar, and spots to watch a sports game on TV. They have a great selection of beers and mixed drinks. I tried a few of them and they were all very good from the cheesecake martini which was a nice sweet drink to the green tea representing a smooth and relaxing cocktail. Overall the menu had a nice variety. They have a brick oven so made some pretty good pizza. Happy hour specials would have been nice maybe that’s to come!

The time it took to open this place was well spent. Considering how new this restaurant is and how busy it was, I never felt ignored or unattended to. The atmosphere is modern and unique but also comfortable, which is rare. The menu isn’t overwhelming which I like. If you wan’t a diner then go to a diner. While I only tried the pizza, the chef seems to have created modern interpretations of some classic cuisine. Looking forward to going back and seeing what else they have to offer.
