We had a wonderful meal here! We split the veal and shrimp extravaganza because we wanted to save room for the soufflé which was amazing. Worth the trip across the bridge.

I came for the Sunday brunch. Everything was very average. Service was good. Nothing to exciting. Overall a blah experience.

Valentines weekend at Olive Leaf Bistro. The restaurant was decorated for the weekend. Rose petals on the table, rose & baby’s breath in a vase, & the napkins were twisted into roses. Arzellie was very attentive. Would ask for her next time. The food was delicious. A expensive, yet still delicious. Highly recommend the Grand Marinier Soufflé. Don’t mess it. It is so good! Must be preordered.

My husband and me walked across the bridge and found this bistro on the other side. What a delightful surprise! We had their mussels for an appetizer, my husband had the roasted duck and I had the paella. Everything we had was excellent! They had live guitar, the bistro had nice dim lighting so the ambience was perfect. Definitely worth checking out!

The more time I spend in Jeffersonville, the more I can’t wait to return. Part of that is trying the places to eat that are within walking distance of the walking bridge. This was my latest adventure with friends after an event at Riverstage and it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is such that you could come here for a special event but we were also comfortable even though we were dressed casually. I had the tortellini and it was wonderful. The service was great, too!

What a nice surprise to discover this elegant, French-inspired menu in Jeffersonville! The views of the Ohio River, the pedestrian bridge, and the Louisville skyline are fabulous. But the real treat is found in owner-chef Jimmy’s creative dishes. The night we were there, he had quail and rabbit as specials! Where else in Kentuckiana will you find that? The fois gras was perfectly prepared over a delicious apple-potato fritter. Fried green tomatoes were splendid. Veal scaloppine was wonderful(just a tad salty). There are many dishes we are anxious to try, so we will be back! The full bar and expert bartender will surely have your favorite drink. Wine list could and should be more extensive, although the selections offered were excellent. Music is heavenly, nothing but great standards from the ‘50s and ‘60s. All in all, a place that will make your night a better one!

The food, and service is terrible!!! Last night our waiter brought us our check before we even got our food! Then he waited by our table for us to get out our credit card and pay. He apologized saying he really needed to go. I will never eat there again! The food took to long, my salmon was dried out like it had been under a heat lamp to long. I was embarrassed that I had suggested the place.

We had a rough start on the patio. Owner requires an Entrée order or there’s a $ 5 upcharge per person. Our server was excellent but hard to understand, compounding the issue. We each had two appetizers in mind as it was warm and neither desired a big meal nor an upcharge. One of us has shellfish allergies and that eliminated over half of the entrees. We settled for a lite Entrée each, for less than we would have otherwise spent. Food, spirits, & deserts are great. Service lagged, though not crowded. I had to ask another server for the check. It goes on our«starving only» list as the owner/chef doesn’t want tapas/small bites/shellfish allergy customers. White tablecloth, inside, casual on patio.

I love the walking bridge and just walking around exploring in general. A friend and I went across the bridge and decided to get something to eat. I’d never been here and neither had she but most of the Unilocal reviews looked good. Since we are both trying to eat healthy we both got the Mediterranean salad and my friend added salmon for $ 6(which she split with me). When our food arrived we were told by our waitress that $ 5 is added per person if an entrée is not ordered. I think she should have told us that when we ordered… I can’t get past this. I’ve never gone to a restaurant and not been able to order whatever I wanted. I may go someplace for dessert or order two appetizers instead of an entrée. I had already eaten earlier so I wasn’t really hungry and was keeping it light on calories. Anyhow, the salad. I knew it would have lettuce, but expected to have a few toppings for $ 8. It had three half moons of cucumber, two cubes of tomato and some strands of red pepper. No black olives that were listed in the description. I asked and she brought eight for us to split. I eat salads at restaurants often… So I’ll just stick to my favorite salmon salad at BBC. This was just disappointing all around. I hate giving one star but this was a Terrible experience and salad on a beautiful night. If you have a rule like that then the wait staff should be up front about it. We could have spent a lot less for two below average salads(32 before tip). They do have a nice view!

No. Just don’t. So wanted to love this place because of the name and location, but we tried three times and cannot recommend. Food was bad – poorly prepared and bad tasting. Wine list is definitely not worth the price, either. So sorry you did not improve, Olive Leaf.

This is a great restaurant overlooking the river. From the outside it looks a bit casual but step inside and you’ll find linen tablecloths and napkins adorning a Mediterranean inspired décor. We chose this restaurant based on Unilocal!Reviews after a night on the walking bridge. I was a little hesitant as the reviews are a bit hit and miss, however I am SOGLAD we stopped! Delicious! We had a good experience! I had the shrimp, crab, and lobster ravioli. I could tell the ravioli was house-made and it was wonderful. The crab was the main flavor but the overall dish was fantastic. I would have it again! My BF had the Sorrentino which was chicken, eggplant, and prosciutto with a linguine pasta on the side. His plate was clean when he finished! We both enjoyed our entrees! We skipped an appetizer to save room for dessert and boy am I glad we did! We had the divine tiramisu. Yum! It’s on the sweeter side for tiramisu and was delicious! We saw the soufflé come out for another table and I might have to try that next time! It was beautiful! But I was thrilled with the tiramisu choice! Our service was great. They were on a water notice, so we were served bottled water. After walking for a while, we were thirsty and our water glasses were kept full! Overall: great location overlooking the river, great food, great service! Recommended!

Let me start by saying that I really wanted to like this place, and I think it is probably a good restaurant. However, my experience wasn’t that great. We visited the Olive Leaf on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was fairly full. After waiting with at the bar and ordering sangrias, a table became available and we were seated and we waited… and waited… for someone to take our order. 10 – 15 minutes later our server introduced herself. She was pleasant but the restaurant appeared to be short staffed. I say this because we split an entrée(chicken shish kabobs) and two salads and the entrée took about 45 minutes to arrive after we ordered. Unfortunately, the entrée tasted as though it had been under a heat lamp. The chicken was dry and rubbery and the balsamati rice was dry as well. I wasn’t impressed with the portion size either…2 short kabobs and a small amount of rice. Not what I was expecting for $ 18. Perhaps we ordered the wrong meal as some of the seafood dishes we had seen go past to other tables appeared very appetizing and plentiful. Overall, the location overlooking the river and Louisville is good, the staff friendly, and the location good for downtown Jeffersonville dining. This was our first visit to the Olive Leaf and I wish I could say it went better but unfortunately, it didn’t.

Amazing server from Paris, France. Very polite. Food took 40 minutes to arrive. Appetizer came out with entrée. I ordered a $ 24 salmon that was dry and garnished with what tasted like dried river grass. The outdoor seating looks great from afar but when sitting down the tables wobble and there is little air moving around the area. This place is EXPENSIVE for food I could have whipped up in my kitchen faster than their cook. Skip this place, hop the bridge to Louisville and try Rye, Harvest or Decca in NuLu. Same price with GREAT atmosphere, and AMAZING cuisine.

The restaurant has good atmosphere. They were busy on Friday night and our waitress was very attentive. It took for ever for our food to come out. For my personal taste, I would have preferred to have more traditional Greek food on the dinner menu. I had the spare rib cigars for appetizers which were good. I also had the baba ganoush and spanakopita for dinner. They were also decent. The soufflé was amazing.

Went here for lunch… eh, it was just okay. I had the vegetarian platter, it came with hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel, a salad and three TINY triangles of pita bread. What was I supposed to eat the hummus and baba ghanoush on? Also, the falafel was dry and it didn’t come with tzatziki sauce!?! Crazy. The server was nice, and we didn’t have to wait but it was a mediocre experience at best. Definitely not worth the dinner prices. My companion had the tuna burger, and it looked okay, but again, no sauce, no presentation, no nothing. The stuff we ordered was edible, but that’s about it. I was very excited that a Mediterranean place was coming to Jeff, but this was just a let down.

This place is in Jeffersonville, IN, ugh… but I will happily weather the Bridge traffic chaos for their Lobster-Shrimp Ravioli, true perfection. I wanted to lick the plate. Seriously. Also, I cannot wait to try the Grand Marnier soufflé. This is an unusually decadent dish not commonly seen in these parts, y’all…and a true delicacy. The ladies next to me raved about it. Generous, big pour of Ventana Chardonnay. Perfect. I really liked the trendy bar area with dark leather seats and cozy conversation pit. Hope they get the business and respect they deserve. Yum!

This was our reward after having walked across the recently opened Big Four Pedestrian Bridge from Louisville to Jeffersonville with my 85 year old mother.(Yay, Mom!) I must say the board at the end of the ramp was quite helpful to pick out a restaurant; it had the business names and locations mapped out so it was easy to find. This restaurant is on the riverfront so we sat outside and enjoyed the view of barges and, even the Belle of Louisville. Our server was gracious and when we needed to know an ingredient in a Mediterranean dish, she brought the chef to us. Good thing the dish sounded good; how was I going to turn it down when he just told us all about it himself?! We took our server’s suggestion and ordered chicken wings for an appetizer — they resembled bbq wings with a dark burgundy color and sticky sweet taste. I liked them very much and, yes, they were quite messy. My mother and I ordered what is similar to lasagna(the dish the chef told us about). It was very good and a very huge portion than neither of us could finish(but, boy, did we try)! My husband ordered Chicken Marsala, which he wasn’t all that fond of and said the chicken was overcooked. I also ordered a caesar salad that we all proceeded to share. I’m sure they have divine desserts but we were all too full to try any. Next walk across the bridge! I will tell you that this restaurant is pricey. Three entrees, a salad, an appetizer, two iced teas, and 2 beers with tip was 100.00.

This is a very cozy place overlooking the river Staff very nice I had the daily special shrimp scallop pasta, I forgot what it was called. It was very good. The menu had lots of other choices I would also like to try.

What a cute little place down by the river. It was too hot to sit outside. But plenty of seats to sit near the window and see the river. Our server was so friendly and a joy to talk to. He had several suggestions which were good choices. It just felt romantic. Love the music they play. I got the calamari. It was good. My boyfriend’s meal was warm and delicious. He got the special. Cavallini? See Christiaan’s pic.

I was excited to hear that a Greek restaurant was opening in Jeffersonville. I’ve always loved Mediterranean food and I hate having to drive to Louisville to find any. On my first visit I was very pleased with the location and atmosphere of the restaurant. They have an outdoor patio that has a gorgeous view of the river and the service was very attentive and friendly. I tried the falafel and hummus and both were fresh and flavorful. However, both were listed as vegan entrees on the menu and neither were even close to entrée sized. Both were sized and priced like tapas. Maybe I missed the point and you are supposed to order multiple items?
