Really, really rude staff. How can you be so rude living in such a beautiful place? We wanted to buy a cigar and maybe wine. Being respectful of the«no outside food or drink» sign, we left our drink outside. We did have an empty cup however, and when we asked for a trash can, the employee/mgr/owner condescendingly said«that would’ve been outside» and shook his head no(there are no trash cans within 100 ft of the door). We promptly left.

The JIBC, as I like to call it, is about as ghetto as you would expect a liquor store in a mobile home to be. The shelves are extremely sparse, with only a few bottles of the few brands that they carry on display. I don’t think there was anything even on the lower of three shelves in any aisle. There’s an OK selection of beer in a cooler, from the big national brands to a few six-packs of some of the local brews like Terrapin. I think there was one lone six-pack of Angry Orchard cider. Prices seemed alright, but when you’re coming from Nova Scotia, even rip-off prices in America for alcohol are still better than ours. They had some cheap $ 2 cigars that turned out to be alright, all things considered. They only accept Visa and Mastercard, no Amex, so come prepared.

I never felt so uncomfortable in my own skin and as a paying customer. I encountered a very disgruntled elderly woman who seemed to not have cared if I shopped there or not and clearly assumed that I knew that she couldn’t accept credit card payment for less than $ 5. Woman you should have posted a sign! Truly that wasn’t why I was upset it was the manner in which she treated me. I should have just left without purchasing anything.
