Great place for lunch. I ordered the Fish and Chips. Perfect! If you ever get to the island this place is a must stop for lunch. Great view of fishing ships coming in and out. Price wasn’t bad and service was good.

Went to Latitude 31 and The Rah Bar last night and I have a mixed review. The food was terrible. I had a BBQ sandwich which was edible but the fries had a fishy taste that was revolting. The service was ok once we were seated but we were told the wait would be 45 minutes but we didn’t get a table for over 2 hours. The only thing that kept us there was the atmosphere. We watched a glorious sunset and listened to live music. That was the best part of the experience. I really felt sorry for the hostess, server, and manager because they were getting hammered by unhappy customers due to the poor service all night. We made the best of a bad situation but I’m not sure I could bring myself to ever return.

Terrible customer service. We waited close to an hour to be seated, followed by 30 – 40 minutes before a waiter acknowledged us for a drink order. After we finished our meals we waited another 40 minutes before we could find our waiter again for our checks. Our checks weren’t split which took additional time. The manager was very rude, not helpful whatsoever. Basically it was a cluster!

We drove to the Historic District to check out the area and spotted the Rah Bar. It was early so we ordered a couple of beers and shrimp for an early appetizer. The beer was cold and the shrimp was delicious. We ordered another beer and thought about staying for a meal. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We decided to split the crab legs for dinner. I went for a Bloody Mary for dinner. It was very good. The crab legs were fun to crack and eat — they were also great! My wife needs to eat gluten free and the staff understood her needs. We were there for at over 2 hours and enjoyed every minute! The weather was fabulous and the view very picturesque. We also enjoyed the mix of music. On our way out there were several manatees spotted in the water. That was a special treat!

Dined here prior to the sunset dolphin cruise and I received some truly friendly service. This place has the dockside ambiance, decent seafood menu, and incredibly cheap bottles of wine. Seriously, the bottle costs less than 2 glasses, and isn’t much more than retail prices. The crab bisque was a standout, as was the wait staff, who treated me like family.

The wild caught salmon was to die for. The service was good. Overall, I think it was 4 stars.

What a joke came in as 1 person to eat told me to go to the bar so I wouldn’t have to wait 40 minutes … went to the bar to eat and after 20 minutes the lady at the bar said she couldn’t serve me because they cut her off from food. I went back to the hostess and she said sorry it will be about an hour now. I’m here on business … 1 person and couldn’t take care of me? Wow.

Great location, and great gathering place, but the food and service don’t live up to expectations. We were a bit disappointed in both, but the view was great.

The Meh Bar is a better name. Great setting — very pretty along the water, etc. Just don’t come for the food. None of it is memorable or so good that I can remember what I had aside from a lackluster lobster roll and some wine.

Great service and friendly staff! Food was ok, decent seafood but not great. The crab cake was just basic pan fried, but the flavor was plain with mostly dark meat and needed seasoning. The peel and eat shrimp were juicy and not bad. Bbq sandwich was Pretty fatty. Fries were served hot and fresh. Good wine prices if you buy a full bottle. You can’t beat the location right on the wharf.

The food is overpriced. Service is at a turtles pace. Food… Meh…only good thing is that pets are welcome! Go up the street to «Dairy Queen» for a cheaper, and better experience. Sorry but it’s just the truth.

We had lunch here twice. The first time we sat outside on a beautiful, warm day — perfect ambiance right on the water. We both had a cup of the Crab Bisque which was very good. I then had a BBQ Pork Taco which was really tasty. My wife had a crab cake and loved it. Angela B, our server did an excellent job. The next day the weather was not good we sat inside and had more of the delicious Crab Bisque with a serving of slaw which was tasty. The ambiance inside can’t compete with the outside seating we enjoyed the first day, but it is still very nice with great views of the water. Sarah B. was our server and did an excellent job.

Real cold beer! Cuba Libre was strong. Velvet had the vegie tacos plus one with blackened shrimp. She says excellent. I had the fish nachos. Wow fresh and good fish Salad surrounded by flour tortilla chips then smothered in queso! It was great. Atmosphere is a pier and they are dog friendly. Couldn’t ask for more. Service was spot on.

Latitude 31 and the ‘rah’ bar were quite alright, but not what I would call an impeccable dining experience. The sole waitress for the deck was more than rushed, and I sincerely felt terrible for her as she zipped around attempting to deal with rowdy snowbirds. The biting gnats were par for the course for coastal Georgia, but some rosemary plants on the deck would quickly deal with that. My main qualm wasn’t the food so much as the pricing. The main draw is the real estate– the setting sun glistening off the river, the cool coastal breeze, ect. It’s beautiful. What isn’t beautiful is the two sad crepes filled with mysterious seafood chunks and doused with a beginning to set hollendaise or a single deep fried grit cake with several wimpy shrimp. These would be fine at half the price, but the totals rang out to 24 and 19 dollars respectively. Add a she crab soup which was ‘ok’ at best for 5 more dollars and a 10 dollar ‘ok’ bloody Mary and you get 64 $ of ‘ok’ food. Therefore, an ‘ok’ 3 stars.

The food here was excellent! Good variety of seafood and non seafood items. I had the blackened Mahi Mahi with scalloped potatoes. The drink prices were a little high.

Food was subpar. Fries tasted like fish(old oil, I assume). The kids’ chicken fingers were frozen mystery meat. The grilled chicken sandwich had a strange flavor, too. Four plates came out, and we were halfway done eating by the time the other kid’s meal finally came out. The server apologized, but didn’t bring anything for the kid while she watched us eat(we shared with her, obviously, but still…) Hostess was not very happy. Our server was friendly, though. Bathroom was the most disgusting one on the island. It wreaked so bad that I stood outside while the kids went in and noticed the place had a B rating. I waited to use the public restroom. On top of all this, it was advertised on the board that kids eat free on Saturdays. When we got the bill, the server said that kids were only free if you order an entrée, not a sandwich(it was lunch, after all). Most definitely not worth the money. No ambience. No experience. Biggest waste of money, and worst experience on the island.

Dined at the Rah Bar last night and now my husband is sick. We ordered crab legs, peel and eat shrimp and two sides: hush puppies and Coleslaw. I took one look at the slaw and said NOTHANKS but my husband took one bite and it was spoiled. He just spent overnight with an upset stomach. Don’t eat here because clearly food safety is not a priority. Service is slow. The outdoor heaters don’t work, the employee told us they were«decorative». The men’s bathroom sink was clogged with vomit. I’m not kidding around about this and I don’t have a vendetta against this place. We ate at this restaurant twice during our stay on Jekyll a year ago in January 2015 and were looking forward to coming back this time. My husband was excited for the Dungeness crab. During that visit they even offered wild caught Georgia shrimp. Too bad this place has gone downhill. We won’t be back.

1 star for service, maybe 2 stars for food quality. Service: awful experience. They told us 45 minutes. An hour later, they said the kitchen had put them«on hold» and they couldn’t predict when they would start seating again. Finally seated us after 1:15. Drinks were not refilled. Waitress added a 20% tip without informing us. Luckily I spotted it else I would have double-topped for this crappy place. Food: overall pretty poor. Seafood Nachos were awful. Seafood bisque was poor. Everything was extremely salty. The $ 12 hamburger looked decent … One good entrée out if 6. In summary: don’t do it! Bite the bullet and drive to Brunswick or St. Simons. I wish we had!

No service, no staff, out of olives… here’s why we left. Disgusting. Haven’t a clue as to how to serve customers. Party of 11 threw them into a tailspin. Got a peek into the kitchen — was sitting practically IN there. Really dirty. Georgia needs help in general with cleanliness — restrooms, restaurants, etc. I expected more from a tourist area.

The server was great: hilarious, friendly, and courteous. They have Coca-Cola products, Budweiser, and great sweet tea! We ordered for lunch: fried grouper sandwich, fried shrimp baskets, and grilled grouper sandwich. The fried shrimp was excellent. The grilled grouper was good. The fried grouper was good too. This place is definitely worth a stop.

Gut und günstig, direkt am Pier mit wunderschöner Aussicht. Das Essen schmeckt gut und das Personal bemüht sich. Das Ambiente ist nicht so gelungen, es wirkt eher wie wenn man in einer Halle isst.
