I’m not outdoorsy and have no interest in camping, but my boyfriend does. I think my review will be useful for first timers that aren’t sure if they can handle it or not. It’s a really pretty campsite. The bathrooms are very clean, they replace the empty toilet paper rolls every morning and there is a sink in every bathroom with running cold water(thank goodness). The campground was full this weekend and I never had any trouble with long lines. We stayed at #72. It was spacious, had one picnic table and two fire pit. There are paved parking spots right next to each campgrounds too. I had fun during my visit, and I’m very impressed with how well the place is maintained :).

just got back from weekend camping here. I meant to give 3.5 rating but Unilocal doesnt allow me to. –restroom are kept clean, thats nice about it. drawback: no shower(stated on park website). they said there is shower on the next campground, but the cost is $ 7 per person to get into the campground + coin operating shower –there are only 4 restrooms(2 and 2) to cover a huge campground. not enough and sometimes long line –the park doesnt accept credit card(boo. national park does) –the campsite itself is very uneven. some have a large site, the others dont. our group got site 72,73,77,80. 72&73 share the same parking lot and pretty much no privacy between the 2. Good for a group, though. so overall, it’s ok. still a nice place to enjoy nature. whether or not I will come back, I dont think i will.

Just got back from a second trip. This time we stayed in #102, another shady, private and flat campsite. We stayed Wed-Fri right before Sat the 4th of July and the campground was less than ½ full. We didn’t have raccoon problems like last time since all the food was in the car overnight. Bring bug spray though. I take a star off for the State’s completely unreasonable and hostile dog policies.
