This is a must-visit when in Jerome. Never knew I would find kaleidoscopes so intriguing. They also have some sand glass moving art that is amazing. A lot of the items are on the expensive side because they are intricate pieces of art, but they do have a section by the entrance with more affordable kaleidoscopes that range between $ 5 to $ 20.

BESTSHOP in Jerome! We could spend so much money here! Between the amazing kaleidoscope collection and steam punk art there is so much to look at. We bought a small piece this time but have already decided that we will be back and plan on getting more. Thank you for being so friendly and having something so original to offer. We love it!!!

What a fun place to visit! I was like a little kid at this store playing with all kind of kaleidoscopes. I must say I wasn’t only one playing and smiling like a kid, all other adult customers were like that. They sell jewelry and arts but main things they sell is kaleidoscopes. They have something small to big and expensive. You get to look at them as much as you want. They were made so beautiful, I didn’t know(or should I say I forgot from my childhood) how fun it is to use kaleidoscopes. A staff at the store offered to take picture of me using my phone and I was inside the kaleidoscope! View from the balcony was amazing too. It’s a store, they sell stuff but I felt like I was at a museum. I highly recommend stopping by here when you are in Jerome.

This store is AMAZING. They have great jewelry, sculptures, kaleidoscopes, artwork, basically all pretty, fancy things that I would like to own. ALLOFTHEM. The staff was super friendly, offering to take our picture numerous times and showcasing their fancy wares. I got a snazzy pair of copper earrings on the jewelry side, and meanwhile cannot stop dreaming of owning one of their steam-punk kaleidoscopes from the other. This is a dangerous store if you would like to retain the cash in your wallet.

The most awesome store ever!!! In the world!!! So many different types of kaleidoscopes, some cool water/sand frame things, other beautiful glass work… Wow so much to take in all at once! The store has awesome light & colors so that when you look through their kaleidoscopes, you can see some amazing patterns. I had to stop by this store twice in one day LOL I regret not buying one as a souvenir… I might just go back one more time before I take off :3 hehe

Such an amazing and cool store! We were told it’s the largest kaleidoscope collection in the world — the variety and selection(and price range) is astounding! The staff is fantastic — super friendly, happy to show you some of the amazing scopes behind the counter — and encourage the customers to explore and have fun in the shop. Can’t wait to go back and play more(and buy more!) and take more members of my family in to see such an awesome store. Of all the places my sister and I stopped into during her weekend out to visit — it was here we decided to get matching souvenirs. Way too cool!

Definitely a must see in the Jerome area. This fun shop is focused on kaleidoscopes of all shapes and sizes. They have small versions that are made of plastic and safe for the little ones if you are looking for a souvenir and they also have extreme artistic versions that can be display pieces in galleries. The staff seemed highly knowledgable about each individual work and was more than willing to answer any questions. Knowing where your piece came from is part of the fun, right? Be sure to head all the way to the back of the shop for some hand blown glass pieces that shouldn’t be missed. Overall: A Fun and ecclectic pieces for all price points and should amuse everyone in the family!

This year’s Kaleidoscope Weekend last week was as good as it gets. Outstanding and talented Kaleidoscope artists/instructors from all over the country convene in Jerome for this annual event hosted by the owners of Nellie Bly. What a unique opportunity we all had… and SO much fun! This is truly the largest collection of Kaleidoscopes in the US and the staff there at Nellie Bly is nothing but 1st class. The encourage everyone to play with everything in the store and can give you the history and detail about each work of art and the gifted artist that created it. You owe it to yourself to drive to Jerome, wander the streets, check out the galleries and restaurants, admire the awesome views and spend some time in Nellie Bly! And mark your calendar for next year’s event. The classes sell out super-quick.

Cool little shop in a neato little town. We had fun roaming their extensive assortment of kaleidoscopes and I even made a purchase. Fun to look but beware, if you’re looking to buy most everything available here is a handmade piece of ART and is priced as such. Other than the severe sticker shock my overall experience was a pleasant one. Check out my photo to see what my fancy purchase can do!

It has been several years now since we were last in Jerome. A charming ghost town that is only made better by its mystical, creative, hippie artisans that give me the chills and thrills everytime I am there. There is no other place I would chose to return to time and time again, as Jerome, and particularly a little store named Nellie Bly. I make sure that on our Arizona trips, we always make time for this. I am easily attracted to shiny things. I guess I am simple minded. And Nellie Bly captivates me. Their range of kaleidoscopes are some of the largest most amazing collection I would ever hope to see. And pricewise, there is something for everyone. Big, small, expensive, or not, victorian, and contemporary. When held up to the light, I can guarantee you will get a beautiful light show as the panels or shards of colored glass shift before your eyes. When it comes to bringing out the kid in me, this place is a magical place. A wonderful place for the whole family! The nice thing is, you don’t have to buy anything to enjoy this gallery/treasure trove full of sparkles and rainbows.

Nellie Bly II claims to be the largest kaleidoscope store in the country, or maybe they said the world. Either way, I’ve never been to a kaleidoscope store and it’s a pretty cool place. Julie, who works there, showed me a camera trick of taking a photo through a kaleidoscope so your image appears with the design. She took one of me so I have a free souvenir of Jerome. They also have a jewelry shop next store with a lot of nice things.

I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. What an awesome gem of a store in funky little Jerome. I honestly didn’t even look at all the jewelry because I was so enthralled with the kaleidoscopes! So many different kinds. We spent over an hour here just looking and playing with everything. The girls that work in this store are SO nice, and encourage you to look at everything, and point out their favorites. They have kaleidoscopes ranging from $ 20 all the up to over $ 10,000 and you’re allowed to touch everything. One of the girls even picked up one of the kaleidoscopes and asked us if we had a camera and took our photo through the kaleidoscope. SO cool.

First of all, Jerome is this funky, amazing town nestled on the side of a mountain. As you drive the road wrapping around this mountain, there lies the town. It’s wonderful, it’s unique, it’s totally crazy, and something not to be missed. A great detour either going to or coming from Sedona. This store, Nellie Bly, is soooooooooooooo much fun. Okay, so it has jewelry, it has glass art(which I love), but It also has KALEIDESCOPES. OHMYGOD, KALEIDESCOPES !!! I’m like a little kid in a candy store with kaleidescopes. I have so much fun with them, and I love the prisms, colors, and all the creativity that goes into making them. Some of them were quite exquisite, elaborate, and oh yes, VERYVERY costly. I wish I had money for some of them. I love this store, and I haven’t found ANYthing even remotely similar in Los Angeles. That’s just BS to me. Well, thank goodness for a place like Nellie Bly.

First I love Jerome, it’s part Woodstock, part Mayberry, part artist community… Kaleidascopes and all kids of neat things! Don’t miss it… what a fun store! I have two kids and we were encouraged to pick up and touch everything which was a welcome relief from some of the stores in Sedona and Scottsdale where some might give you a snooty look the minute you walk in with kiddos. They even showed me how to take the kids picture through the different kaleidascopes with my camera. We’ll be back!
