This was my favorite ice cream but they are now CLOSED at least at this location. So sad. Taken over by another T Mobile. Another loss for JC.

Walking by on a warm day and wanted to see if they had any interesting flavors. I tried a couple until the Kesar Pista with saffron(Saffron pistachio). It was interesting. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good at the same time. The taste confused my tongue but it was quite an adventure. I will go back and try other flavors. Give this place a try. Cash only and somewhat expensive. A small cup was $ 4.

today we bought a pint of butter scotch ice cream home. When we started eating we realized that it was gone bad. called the store and the person working there was very rude… looks like they turn off the freezers at night. smell was horrible

Stopped in to try some kulfi yesterday. I’d never had kulfi before so this was new to me. It looks like regular ice cream. The woman running the counter tried to explain the difference between kulfi and ice cream but i wasn’t really getting it. Got the Ferrero Rocher kulfi. It had pieces of Ferrero Rocher in it. It was very interesting. Kulfi felt much heavier than ice cream, but at the same time drier. If you’ve ever had ice cream in the freezer too long and had it develop ice crystals, that’s kinda what kulfi feels like, minus the ice crystals. A heavier and drier ice cream. I still like ice cream better, especially Torico, but this isn’t a bad spot.

This is easily some of the best ice cream I’ve ever eaten. The coconut ice cream is amazing, with an excellent texture. It has little bits of coconut in it, something I’ve never encountered before, and it works really well. And the carrot halwa(gajar da halwa) ice cream is brilliant. I would give this place five stars, but I have to deduct a star because the price listed for the coconut ice cream is lower than what they actually charged me($ 2.75 vs. $ 4.00). Get your prices straight, guys. I don’t care that much about a measly $ 1.25, but it’s the principle of the thing. That’s no way to run a business. BUT, the ice cream is really fantastic. I can’t emphasize that enough. If you eat something spicy nearby, this is a great place to cool off your tongue afterwards.

Tried the fig walnut flavor, which had a good fig flavor but tasted a little stale. Went with the pistachio, which was good. Also tried the butterscotch, which tasted just like a Werther’s Original, but was a little sweet for my taste.

I’d have to say this is the most unique ice cream I’ve ever had. Doing some research I learned that kulfi was traditionally prepared by boiling milk down to half it’s volume yielding in a final product much heavier than traditional ice cream. I’m not sure if these traditional techniques are employed but I can make the analogy that the kulfi here is to ice cream as condensed milk is to regular milk. They have plenty of unusual flavors and the guys working here had no problem letting me try samples of just about everything. I settled on the tea masala flavor but there’s so many other great and unusual flavors. If you live in Jersey City you should check this place out, it’s guaranteed to be a pleasant surprise.
