I got«The Truck» today. It was awesome. Great amount of spice and other flavors to it. I look forward to finding this truck again because everything else on the menu sounded great as well.

Not bad, not amazing. I’ve had better food. This truck offers lots of sandwiches, salads, and burgers. None of the descriptions of the options seemed all that exciting. I tried a burger with ham, cheese, mustard, and a bunch of other fixings, I’m guessing supposed to be modeled after a Cuban sandwich. It was OK, really nothing to write home about. Not the best burger I’ve had, but certainly not the worst. This place wasn’t a horrible option for dinner, but definitely would not be my first option for food. My friend also got a burger and had pretty much the same reaction, not amazing but not bad. Very friendly staff!

This truck is such a fantastic addition to the growing Jersey City food scene. The owners/staff are super friendly, service is great– and most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious. Fresh, consistent, complex flavor pairings… it’s my family’s fav stop in this area for quick, great food. I can’t recommend it more. I highly recommend the Sriracha Chicken sandwich(«The Truck») and the Castro Burger. Oh, and make sure to try the daily specials– so good!

I have been to this food truck many times in Jersey City at lunchtime. I walk about half a mile each way for the pleasure of enjoying the offerings at this truck. The Castro burger and the steak sandwich are both amazing. The portions are generous. The menu items are created with imagination, the are perfectly executed and bursting with flavor. Service is friendly and efficient.

So the wife and I decided to have the Shitty Steak Sandwich at the Chopping Block food truck in Hoboken. For those movie buffs, here is «The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly». The Good 1. The flavors are thought out and bold. The cheese sauce they use spells out upscale Philly cheese steak. Strong flavor with the onions, the large rolls are crispy which add to the sandwich. The Bad 1. Not enough meat, cheese, and insides for the bread ratio. If we’re throwing down $ 12 for a sandwich we need a better meat/filler to bread ratio. They also should slice the NY Strip they use thinner so your not pulling off huge chucks of meat with each bite. The Ugly 1. There weren’t a ton of people waiting yet it took 10+ minutes for my sandwich. I also noticed a women who kept asking questions about the menu that went unanswered with big red(cashier)… Just wish they ‘d given me a little better update on the wait. Closing Credits — Add a little more to the insides of the sandwich and this rating jumps to a 4 or even a 5. Solid attempt at an artisan Philly steak sandwich.

Awesome food truck with fresh light food. Not anything fried, but lean proteins and fresh vegetables, salads, ect. I had the Block Garden sandwich(broccoli rabe, portobello mushroom, provolone cheese, balsamic reduction) and it hit the spot. Not too heavy, the bread was light and delicious, and the broccoli rabe was so darn tasty. A really nice option, especially in the Heights where things are often very fried.
