They overcharge, just like everyone else has said. The girl that took care of me was amazing, very kind, and did a great job on my nails. But, I will never go back there. $ 100 for a gel mani and pedi — get out of here!

I was hoping that some of these reviews were wrong since this place is in my building and would be very convenient… They weren’t. My manicure was anything except relaxing. My finger tips, not just my nails, were filed with the emery board and then the tops of my fingers were buffed when the nils were buffed. The result is that the skin surrounding is dry and frayed. Almost every finger was bumped and attempted to be repaired by the nail girl with her opposite hand. Then I asked repeatedly to clean up the edges around the cuticle and sides of my nail of sloppy nail polish. This was minimally done. The result was a sloppy manicure that worse than a beauty school freebie. Also, if you do decide like I did to try it and hope for a better outcome, don’t let them use the cold spray to set the nails. My one finger burned for a good while following the one finger I let them attempt.

They overcharge significantly. I’ve been coming here for about a year and a half. They have a good customer loyalty program where if you pay cash, you get 10% of what you paid towards a future free manicure. So once you hit 13 $ you get a free manicure. I forgot my wallet today and they wouldn’t allow me to use that credit because it was only at 12.96. Not a nice way to treat a frequent customer. Plus, they just added a 5 $ charge to paint one nail a different color, which is outrageous. Other salons in the area don’t do this, so why bother coming here? The services are decent but not worth the prices, and there are so many other nail salons around.

They OVERCHARGE! Today i went to get brazilian wax and was charged $ 60. Was charged $ 50 when visited before. When i asked what the extra $ 10 is for, was told the extra was for back. Like i said, i had everything waxed exactly the same on prior visits and was charged $ 50. I have been getting brazilian for the last 15 years and the definition of the brazilian is hair removal in the front, back and everything in between for the set price; was never charged extra before in any salons. Looks from the previous Unilocal reviews, they tend to overcharge customers, so beware. They lost a customer, their services are ok but prices are not worth it, especially with an additional overcharge.

This review is from my wife, who went to the hair salon: DONOTTRUSTTHEPRICESONTHEWEBSITE!!! She went in recently just to have her hair trimmed and washed and they charged every service separately. Even though the haircut on the site shows as $ 40+(and her hair is not that long), she was charged $ 100 before tip. She called later to ask in more detail why the prices were so different, and the manager was dismissive and did not show any empathy towards her situation. He said ‘the website was maintained by the previous owner and I can’t change any information’ and that was it. Well, she will not go back — and you shouldn’t either.

I love love LOVE this nail salon, and have been coming here for going on 3 years — I won’t go anywhere else. The ladies do a fantastic job and are extremely detail-oriented. It may be slightly more expensive than other places but I’m telling you, it’s worth it. What I like the most is they take their time and you don’t feel like they’re rushing through it. Great color selection and friendly staff. They always give a cute holiday gift at the end of the year too! Definitely give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

Went here for a 20 minute chair massage and it was fantastic! Overall looks very clean, fast and efficient seating, and large enough for a lot of clients. They are bit pricey than their competitors/surrounding area, but i’m okay with paying up for good service! Will definitely come back!

I went here for pedicure with my mom ., both were doing pedicure ., the girls who where doing leg message and pedicure for us, continuously talking and laughing loudly they did not concentrate on what they were doing ., leg message also not worth for 30 $ ., they didn’t do proper pedicure with worst nail polishing .When I went to pay ., the male receptionist asked whether tip is in cash or card, I told card ., he was so rude and told next time come with cash I cannot accept card for tips. I will not recommend this place to anyone …

I like the overall place. Atmosphere is peaceful. Elana(Alana?) Was super good! I recommend asking for her. She did a great job on my nails as well as a good massage. I got a regular medi-pedi which was like a spa medi-pedi with the hot towel and hot stone massage! I got design done on my hands which was 10 dollars more. But well worth it because she did a fantastic job! $ 60 all together with tip. Its a Korean owned place so if you are not used to the Korean style attitude then this is not the place for you. But the staff if mixed Korean and other races.

I went in for a quick last minute pedicure after reading some good reviews. Luckily I got seated immediately and got started with Elaina. The pedicure was by far worth the asking price of $ 30!!! The technician barely cleaned my heals and it was still very rough. The light massage she gave me was definitely not that at all! It was more like a lotion application!!! To make things even worse, the polish application was messy and uneven. I asked for a menu of services and the receptionist said“I can only show you but I have nothing for you to take home.” Even that was kinda shady. Bottom line — poor service and pricey.

This place is great! Very clean, friendly and attentive staff. The massage chairs are very comfortable and loved the fact that the pedicure included a hot stone massage! Some may say its pricey but you get what you pay for — I think the price is fair for the attention to detail, hot stones, and the head and neck massage at the end. Also, Bring cash for tips!

I’ve been to all the nail salons in Paulus Hook, and this by far the best. I always get my gel manicures here, and they last three weeks! The girls are very sweet and always take their time. The only thing I would suggest is that it’s better to go on a week night if you can, it gets crowded on the weekend and they get a little stressed.

I love this place! It’s super clean, quiet, and best of all… the staffs are extremely welcoming. The hair stylist(Ryan) makes your hair flawless! :D Honestly, I haven’t had mani/pedi yet, but I look forward to doing so soon! :) More to come once I get my mani/pedi done!

This place was awesome. The staff is super friendly, great customer service, also the cleanliness is on point. Very calming and maribel did an excellent job on my gel nails. Def going back. The only downside is they charged me 5 dollars extra for each nail that needed a tip. Besides that it was great experience, and there is a separate room to get your hair done, which is a major plus. Hope this review was helpful.

Just had THE worst manicure EVER. It was so bad it ruined my day. It can’t even be fixed because the woman, Nora, cut and filed several of my nails BELOW the nail bed. She butchered my skin, barely touched my cuticles, filed them square instead of round and left polish all over my skin. And it was a $ 13 manicure. Are you f%*ing kidding me?! The owner gave me a gift card… as if I’d really want to go back after this experience. Stay FAR, FAR away from this place.

Am from out of town and decided to stop in for a gel manicure and pedicure after a long two weeks. Loved, loved my experience. Salon is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Technician was friendly and did an excellent job. Foot massage during my pedicure was great and I love that she used hot stones. Also, I chose a very light pink polish for my nails and appreciated her taking the time to apply additional coats. Only drawback is cash tips only. I had to use their ATM and pay that ridiculous fee. Prices comparable to what I am used to paying. $ 30 pedicure, $ 30 gel manicure. Worth it.

$ 30 pedicure is a little expensive but nice. They use hot stones on your legs and give you a little one minute shoulder rub when you’re done. The staff is very friendly, they have a ton of colors to choose from. Tanya did a great job.

I love coming here especially for pedicures! Their prices are a little bit higher than most places but their pedicures are totally worth it and may i add that they use hot stones! Totally relaxing! I usually go in with a reservation(especially on the weekends) but have always gotten someone different and they have all been wonderful so far!

I absolutely love this place. I came here Friday to get my nails done, and came back on Saturday to get a pedicure. I wish I remembered the names of the people that did my nails because once you find someone you like you keep going back to the same person but I can honestly say I haven’t been let down here yet on the random occasions that I’ve came to get my nails done. Both times this weekend I called about half hour in advance asking if they had availability, and both times they asked me to come about 15 min later. This was great because I’m walking distance and otherwise if I walked in I would’ve spent the extra 15 minutes waiting there. Of course since I had an ‘appointment’ I got seated right away both times. The gentleman did my manicure. I have gel nail polish and I typically get frustrated with how much technicians file of the top. None of that happened here. He soaked my nails, took of the polish very efficiently and without filling my on top. Before cutting my nails he actually stopped and confirmed what I wanted which is a miraculous change from other bad experiences I’ve had where the technician just proceeds with cutting or filling the nails down really short because they think they know what’s best. I asked him not to cut my nails because I was trying to grow them out and asked to just have them shaped. Probably the best shaping job I’ve ever seen, I usually loose length in the process but not this time. My nails retained their length; the shaping is the best I’ve seen! He gave me a very thorough manicure and did a great job painting my nails. After the manicure I received an amazing hand massage. My pedicure superseded all expectations. I actually hate pedicures because my feet are really sensitive and I hate having the bottoms scrubbed, so for me a pedicure ends up just being a nail color change as I decline everything on the list. My pedicure was the greatest experience, the technician was so gentle with my feet. She first painlessly filed down my nails(it is never painless for me), she then took care of the cuticles very gently. Once it got time to move on to my soles I flinched and asked her to skip it because I’m sensitive and squirmish. She took one of the hard sponges and went over just the rought portion of my soles ever so gently that I barely felt it. Afterwards the remainder of the procedure just felt like an amazing 10 minute foot massage(with a series of scrubs and lotions). The foot massage itself is enough for me to come back even not needing a pedicure. Overall 10 out of 10 for my experiences. Everyone is super nice, the place is clean, their expeditious and actually listen to the customer. I will likely have a standing appointment there.

I love coming to this nail salon it is so clean and rite by the colgate clock in Jersey City. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have awesome gel colors to choose from as well. They also have essie gels that I have never seen or tried and I thought that was pretty cool. The pedicures here are my favorite! They massage you with shea butter and hot stones. Its completely relaxing and well worth it. If you are in the area and need a good mani or pedi this is the place to stop by and go!
