Ordered some sandwiches and stuff, added 15% tip to the bill. Got a call 30 mins later, the deliver guy asked me to go downstairs to pick it up from him. I asked why, he said he was too busy to come up, and he got many orders to deliver. Is he serious?

I’m new to the area and swung by here last night to grab a couple of slices on the way home. It was literally minutes before closing and there were still a good number of pizzas on offer. I picked the buffalo chicken slice and the staff member recommended a square tomato slice which I believe may be called the Palermo although i’m not sure! Both slices were delicious! They weren’t too greasy at all and the recommended slice was really great. The tomato had a really nice unique flavour. I’m a big fan of buffalo pizza and this didn’t disappoint. Sometimes I find buffalo pies can be a little too deep pan/greasy and doughy, but not the case here. Staff at Krispy are very friendly and chatty too. I’ll definitely be back again! really glad to live so close: D

This place is so good. Great pizza and quick/friendly service. Guy behind the county is also not awful to look at. Great customer service and accommodating to all our want and needs. Would def recommend.

California Chicken Sandwich is takeout staple for us – packed with flavor, crunchy roll, and just as good if you order with grilled chicken instead of fried. Our kids love the eggplant rollatini with vodka sauce. And the pizza thus far has been uniformly delicious — both takeout and ordered from the counter. Even the entrée meals are solid. Delivery is prompt and super friendly. A great addition to the neighborhood.

Great pizza spot in downtown JC. I had a grandma’s slice and a chicken krispini. Both were delicious!

Our favorite pizza place in JC! We’ve tried many pizza places here and this is the best! The Krispini hero is so good! Everything we have had here has been great!

Favorite delivery pizza spot in JC! True NY style — thin crust, completely foldable, perfect amount of grease — not running down your hand but your plate won’t be clean. Perfect! Also love: * great variety of fresh toppings * I’m a traditional guy but Sicilian is a great change * good quality cheese * apps I’ve tried — garlic knots, wings, fried mozz — all delicious and well cooked * great value!!! Grabbed 2 pies for poker night and didn’t have to steal from the pot

I’ve now ordered from this place several more times after my first review and I stand corrected. The pizza here is basically perfect and the other food is surprisingly good for a pizza shop. The subs and apps are also quite good. Very good cheese pizza and I totally take back my comment about the crust!

I am a little bewildered that Krispy only has 3.5 stars — this pizza is top notch. My husband, who is a pizza aficionado and super picky, had the vodka slice and said it was the best pizza he’s had in NJ! So so good. Crispy crust, awesome sauce, just a perfect slice of pizza. They also deliver individual slices which is so awesome and convenient. Highly recommend!!!

All in all their pizzas are really good. I’ve been here 4 times and tried 4 different types slices. Of course I have tried the typical regular, and pepperoni but I also have tried their Vodka pizza and Margarita pizza. I totally recommend the Vodka pizza if you wanna spice it up to try something new, it’s good! Compare to a lot of other Jersey City pizzas this one is the best.

I used to live right up the street, so this was my spot to grab a quick slice when I was craving it. Every pizza I’ve gotten from here has been solid — I recommend the buffalo chicken. I’d say it’s worth checking out, and in a city with so many pizzerias, that’s definitely a good thing.

Review regarding delivery– What excited me about this place was that you could order individual slices for delivery. Unfortunately my pizza slices were 20 minutes past grub hub’s delivery window and the slices came to me cold. Very disappointing because the quality of the food is good. I was also looking forward to real caesar dressing for my caesar salad, but alas, just Ken’s. One weird thing happened, my plasticware packet was open when I got it and was missing the knife and/or spoon. Definitely annoying because I was having a caesar salad. I am not usually in that area of paulus hook so I do not think I’ll be going to the storefront. Once some more quality control is put into place, I will be willing to order again.

I really like Krispy Pizza. They have very unique toppings and manage to do a good job on regular pizza. I had the following pizzas: Buffalo Chicken Pizza Plain pizza with loves Plain pizza Pizza with pepperoni This is one of the better pizza places in the Exchange Place area.

Pizza that is still good even when it isn’t. Huh? Lemme ‘splain. Yes, their pizzas are damn delish when it’s fresh piping hot out of the oven. And yes, they’re actually quite ‘krispy’(the margarita is the simplest & the best). Their pizzas somehow still retain the crispiness even after delivery. But they’re not perfect, such as one time they delivered are rather less than crispy(borderline soggy) pizza. Amazingly enough, the damn thing still tasted VERYGOOD despite of the soft consistency. It’s even good after being stuck in the fridge for several days. Now…THAT…is good pizza! By the way, I love the counter staff. Gave them a tip and was acknowledged by all in heavy I-talian accent: «Ey, thanks for the contri-byoooosh!»

Sicilian riceball, buffalo chicken pizza, vodka pizza, and the plain cheese. These are my items here. Finally, a great pizza place just steps from my apartment… and office! Granted, sometimes I wish the seating area is bigger because during lunch there is hardly any seating(even when outside seating is available). Best time to go, if you want to dine in, is later in the evening OR a super early lunch.

I work right down the block near Harborside, and words cannot begin to describe how happy I was to find Krispy. My co worker brought a piece of Sicilian to the office with the quote«it was made by a human, unlike all the other places here». Basically, it was his way of saying that Krispy has some darn good pizza. Thus far, I’ve tasted the Sicillian, vodka and regular cheese pies. The Sicillian had the perfect cheese/sauce/bread ratio, but the vodka slice is where it’s at. I’m a fan of vodka sauce, so it stands to reason that a slice covered in vodka sauce is a winner. If you happen to be in the Exchange Place area, stop by Krispy…

Pepperoni slice was super oily. Liked the Vodka sauce pizza(although to be honest I love vodka sauce so might not be good but I loved it after trying to finish the over oily pepperoni pizza). Verdict — Okay for quick bite or satisfy unrelenting pizza craving at night as there aren’t much options in this dead neighborhood.

Delivery order: Ordered up a cheese pizza, half with meatball for delivery early on a saturday evening. I ended up getting a chicken spinach salad too, which was definitely not the highlight, but the pizza was good. Delivery took about 45 minutes and I live pretty close, so be patient! The salad with was solid: lots of fresh, green spinach, but the chicken was not of good quality. It killed it for me. It definitely had that«I’ve been frozen for a few years» look and taste. Stringy, thinly pounded, no juices whatsoever. The«fresh motz» was cubed and honestly lacked that salty, home made flavor one loves so much in mozzarella; nothing to boast about. The pizza on the other hand was really good for a non-artisanal pie. Way better than the Jersey City options of likes of Helen’s and others. Lots of cheese, a very subtle tomato sauce and plenty of toppings. The crust wasn’t the best, I like mine more thin and crispy and this is of the chewy varietal, but still good. I don’t often order pizza and pizza for delivery is even a rarer occasion, but 100% I’d order again from Krispy(maybe just stick to the ‘za).

This pizza boasts Brooklyn roots, but I would say this is way more sophisticated. Normally, you think traditional when thinking about the Brooklyn style pizza. I would categorize this place as modern and forward thinking. But not like California pizza kitchen modern to the point where they are putting BBQ on the pizza. This place is the perfect blend. The chicken ranchero might be one of the best pizzas I had. I was skeptical about grandmas pizza, but it isn’t a gimmick like the movie«boyhood» or the NE patriots offense. Its the real deal! The place is always clean when I walk in and staff is friendly, in a old Italian pizzeria sort of way. A great spot for a quick lunch. I would just say that the last time I got delivery, it took a little time.

So I went there about 2 weeks ago. Wasn’t that impressed. Got a pepperoni slice and a plain. Both were greasy as all hell. One of the worst slices I’ve seen and had in a while. The sauce didn’t have too much flavor if it all and when the cheese is falling off before you even bite into it, that tells me too much sauce. After a couple of napkins dabbing the grease off, finally took a bite and hated it. Finished it though cause it was a last minute bite before going into work. I’ll try it again only cause I have clients who rave about it so maybe I caught it on a bad day which is weird cause it’s not like It was the end of the day. This was @ 2pm and they had plenty out to be seen.
