This is my number one choice for take out in jersey city. I believe this is the original Kelloggs garden(when they where right off the 440). The only thing i tried a couple times and did not like was the chicken wings. Personally, its a bit undercooked. Every thing else i get from there is good.

This place has some pretty solid Chinese American food. I actually ordered here for a while until the Kellogg Garden opened on 440. Here’s an overview of some of the food I’ve had from there: Sesame chicken — Crispy. Delish. Crab Rangoon — I prefer from elsewhere. Rice(any kind) — delicious and seems above other Chinese spots considering they include fresh ingredients to liven up their rice(i.e. Fresh onions, eggs, pineapples, etc.) Bubble teas — it can be a bit or miss. Some days too sweet, other days, too icy and no flavor(like the red bean smoothie). They also sold sushi, which I was ecstatic about. After a few months of ordering, their sushi guy was suddenly not around. So I guess they don’t sell sushi anymore? I don’t know, but on that note, it wasn’t the best quality… But good enough for the price.

They serve typical food Chinese American take out and some authentic. Decently priced. My bf’s go to Chinese take out joint and insisted I should try it out. Take out order: Crispy sesame chicken — still crispy when we got home. Sweet and tangy Hot & Sour Soup: mild… Usually I get it not spicy but they couldn’t do it so I’m assuming it’s a premade pot. Flavor’s good, I like that they put in the preserved pickled vegetables in it. Egg roll: nice and crispy… Just enough filling to wrapper ratio. I’d go back and try other dishes next time.
