My colleague and his wife had their wedding reception here this past summer. The venue/event space was spacious and beautiful. There are stunning views of Lower Manhattan and the bay! The staff here are very warm and friendly! For the meal, we had the following: — First Course: Heirloom tomato, burrata cheese, olive oil, and microgreens — I really liked this because it was very simple, yet delightful too! — Entrée: There was a choice between roasted chicken or beef tenderloin. I chose the beef tenderloin with bordelaise sauce, sauteed greens, and truffle potatoes. The beef tenderloin was moist, savory, and on point! Everything really came together — Wedding Cake(vanilla cake with espresso mousse filling, and raspberry sauce) — the cake was pretty good and moist, but a little too sweet in my opinion. Overall, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the reception, service, and views here! I hope many more friends consider having their wedding at this venue because I’d like to come back for the beautiful view of Manhattan.

It was my first birthday celebration in JC and I really wanted to go somewhere special for my b-day dinner out with the mans. Yes, there are like 5 places right in my hood that look dope and are on my to-try list. But, I wanted something little less run of the mill and off the beaten path. Maritime Parc is located in Liberty State Park(next to Liberty House) and has some seriously intense views of the NYC skyline. It’s such a romantic spot, and if you are trying to impress someone, whether it be a date or even parents in town, I’d suggest taking them here in a heartbeat! Okay, so ambiance aside. I wanted a delicious birthday meal, and the real reason this spot stood out was because of the eats. The menu boats a delicious array of seafood and meat options, and it all sounds decadent. The rundown: –Gin and grapefruit juice. AKA a cup of gin with a splash of grapefruit juice, but I guess no one ever complained about a drink being too strong. Am I right? –Bread basket with a dipping sauce that had cauliflower and feta cheese. It was a little bit hearty to dip bread in, so I ate it as a standalone salad which was actually delicious. –Seared octopus atop a bed of pork belly hash. Although it was an octopus dish, there was more pork belly then octopus which I thought was a bit odd. I would have appreciated more octopus, but all in all it was still very tasty. –Crispy fried string beans, fried to absolute perfection. The siracha aioli was the perfect dipping sauce. –Seafood pasta. Normally at restaurants like this there would be a ton of pasta(the cheap stuff) and a skimpier amount of seafood(the good stuff). Completely not the case here. My bowl was overflowing with hearty chunks of shrimp, scallop and crab. The cream sauce was rich and flavorful. Definitely a sinful dish, but calories don’t count on the birthday. –Seared scallops over a bed of corn salsa. This was my BF’s entrée, and I snuck in a couple of bites. The scallop had the perfect sear, and there were four large on hearty bad boys on the plate. –Too full to order dessert, but they gave us doggy bags with complimentary chocolate peanut butter oatmeal banana cookies(an absolute mouthful) and they were insanely good. Confession, I actually ate mine for breakfast the next morning. Maritime Parc made my birthday dinner a great one, and it just makes sense to come here for a special occasion dinner. With great food and city skyline views, you really just can’t go wrong.

Extremely rude and arrogant doorman with longer black hair and a headband. Needs some serious lessons in how you treat and speak to guests. The food and service otherwise was excellent but how this man spoke to my mother right when we arrived put an extremely bad taste in my mouth for this location. Would rate zero stars if possible. There is a right way and a wrong way to speak to customers and this guy was flat out rude and on a power trip.

Everything is so good!!! We got the $ 20 deal on Thursday that included half a dozen oysters burger and beer. we also got the rib eye steak. The view is amazing!!! I would def come back here. Thanks for the amazing service. Originally we went to union republic in jersey city. But it was near 7 pm and they werent budging with the oysters. We rushed to get there and we got there at 6:45 and wS told there weren’t any oysters left. And it was clearly all there. Just was really lazy to serve them. Also the prices were the same. We left after we saw another server serving oysters to another couple. We went here instead on a Thursday because we saw a good deal. Honestly, deal or not, this is such a wonderful place to go to. You have the view and amazing service. It’s a little on the pricey side, but the service is well worth it to go out with your friends or your husband on a date. I love it all! Thanks again!

Came here for a large family birthday dinner and the staff was very accommodating. The food was overall good. However the duck-fat fries and mashed potato rings were not impressive. Everyone ordered a different dish — I shared the braised pork app which was unbelievably good. I had the lobster risotto for my main course, which was a little on the salty side. The venue itself was fantastic! Right along the water, and the décor on the inside was pretty as well. Overall the food ranged from average to out of this world, the venue and location boosted the scoring, and the staff was the nicest. One of our guests had to send back a drink, because it was simply undrinkable, and the waiter kindly replaced it without charge or attitude! He was great and the second drink was much better(:

This pretty much sums it up. Great view of the water and city, great venue, decent food, shaky service, overpriced.

Pros: — They serve Balthazar breads. Cons: — Scallop burger was okay. — BLT was okay. Request less mayo. — Duck fries were okay.

Great location but when they say reservations, they really mean walk in(first come first service for outside) Service is spotty(but staff is doing best under conditions; very junior)., drinks are great, fresh fish, but not all dishes up to par. Overpriced. But after three drinks, and the beautiful setting, despite it all, we still had a great time.

How in the tom foolery did I not know about their Thursday burger special!!! For $ 20 you get a choice of wine or beer, a burger and fries and a half a dozen oysters. IT. WAS. AMAZING. I had the MP burger which was delish(although the medium turned out to be more rare than I anticipated). I also ordered the duck fat fries which were so damn good I began to hate the regular fries my burger came with. All in all it was very good, I’m just sad I didn’t get to try more. But don’t worry, I’ll be back.

Update on Weekend Brunch: Good: all the dishes ordered were quite good sans one or two. We went to celebrate my husband’s bday with a group of friends. Group ordered a variety of drinks from beer to strawberry mint lemonade. I didn’t try any of the drinks but none of my friends really enjoyed them. So skip the teas and stick to beer or coffee. Brunch entrees ordered: –Crab Cake, fried egg with grainy mustard vinaigrette — Goat cheese, spinach, potato frittata — Salmon Burger with a side of French fries — Scallop Burger with a side of French fries — Fish and chips — Omelette with gruyère, mushrooms and caramelized onions Sides: Fried Green Beans with spicy aioli. The most liked entrees were the frittata and the crab cake. The crab cake was pretty big one a bed of grainy mustard vinaigrette and sauce gribiche, topped with the perfect fried egg and greens. The frittata was sumptuous as well. The scallop burger was a decent sized scallop patty with potatoes and some herbs served inside a brioche bun with corn mayo. My friend requested it without the bacon and seemed to enjoy her dish. My deism who ordered the salmon burger didn’t have any complains either with his dish. Bad: The least successful dishes on the table were the omelette, which was under seasoned and the fish and chips. The fish was not crispy, was greasy and the chips were overdone, leaving a bitter aftertaste. Ugly: nothing The two hostesses were pleasant this time around, which was a welcome change. Verdict: Maritime Parc is a fantastic place with good food and great location not only for special evenings or occasions, but for meeting friends for brunch as well :)

This is my new favorite Thursday night spot. The oyster, burger and beer deal is literally too good to be true. The service is fantastic we never felt that a waiter was far away and never wanted for anything. They go above and beyond to make sure that you feel that you’ve been accommodated. We visited the restaurant about a month ago on a slightly chilly night the servers got out the heaters so that we were able to sit outside comfortably. What really stands out is the food. For the Thursday night deal you don’t just have one option for burgers there are four different options. All unique and tasty. The oysters were fresh and there was a great wine selection! We will definitely be back!

Location, location, location as the saying goes and boy-oh-boy does Maritime Parc have that in spades! This amazing restaurant is located in Liberty State Park with all the view that it has to offer. The New York City skyline is simply inspiring to see while dining here. The private boats and yachts that are docked in such close proximity makes it even more panache. So when I went with the folks for a nice Sunday brunch under remarkably sunny weather, I knew it was going to be a fabulous experience. Let’s start with the look and feel of the restaurant shall we. Maritime Parc is located in a circular building with the event space at the top floor and the restaurant at the bottom. Upon entering the place you can tell right away that they want to exude a modern, upscale dining experience that infuses some nautical elements. The nearly floor to ceiling windows provides an amazing view and lets in so much natural light especially on bright and sunny days. Forget about linen on your table because the minimalist approach to their setting continues the modern vibe. I can only comment on the brunch service here at Maritime Parc. A great atmosphere and ambiance can easily be ruined by mediocre food but fortunately for my visit I had nothing but delicious food. Armed with an order of the quintessential mimosa my folks and I studied the menu to see what would tickle our fancy. After asking our server what he would recommend, I went with the lobster mac and cheese carbonara. Mom had the salmon burger with fried egg, marinated beets, and green onion mayo and pops went with the smoked salmon and potato hash browns, fried egg, sour cream, and bacon. A side of crispy string beans and duck fat fries rounded out the feast. The orders arrived not too long after and I dug in right away. The first bite of my lobster mac and cheese was simply heaven. Perfectly cooked pasta swimming in cheddar cheese with perfectly done crust at the top sealing it all in. The lobster pieces were plenty and meaty. I could actually taste it! The peas that were present added a nice hint of sweetness that balanced the richness of the dish perfectly. The sides, which were generous in portion, did not disappoint either. The crispy string beans were fresh, retaining the crisp snap of the fruit, while having the crunchiness of the batter. Dipped into it’s accompanying spicy sauce, it was perfect. Now the duck fat fries needs no introduction. Greasy, fatty, flavorful duck fat used as cooking oil for thick slices of fries and my inner gastronome knows nothing but love for it. After a great brunch with the folks, I want nothing more but to come back and try dinner service here. I hope it will still have the same level of food to keep me happy because let’s face it that view outside the restaurant is worth a visit unto itself.

Let me start by saying that the food in here is excellent. And the staff is very nice. But there’s a reason why this place only gets one star. I have been there 3 times, and twice the parking attendant has tried to rip me off. Both times it was an older gentleman, who tried to take money from me even though I ate in the restaurant and was told by the hostess that I didn’t need a validated ticket before 10PM to leave the parking lot. I challenged him both times. The first time he gave me an argument for a few minutes and only when I said I would go back in and get it sorted out with the management did he let me through. Tonight there was a line of cars behind me and I couldn’t do that, and he insisted I give him seven dollars or he wouldn’t let me out. I relented, but needless to say it left a very bad taste in my mouth and I shall never return here. It’s the little details like this that can ruin an otherwise very good experience.

I have already experienced top-notch events at Maritime Parc, but after the latest Unilocal event I had to come into the restaurant for dinner. I came in for the Thursday night oyster and burger special. $ 20 gets you 6 oysters, a specialty burger, fries, and a glass of wine or beer. What is a specialty burger? Consider a scallops burger, a salmon burger, a pork burger, or a beef burger with some fancy fix-ins. The oysters were very good and tasted clean. I am always on board for a good oyster. I chose the scallop burger. It was topped with a bacon and corn mayo. After one bite, I could tell they used the highest quality ingredients. It was absolutely delicious. The fries are prepared with duck fat. They were fine, but the best side was the fried green beans. Splurge on those, its worth it. Somehow we found the room for dessert. Their chocolate pudding was very rich and worth over-stuffing my stomach. No regrets here! Also kudos to great wait service!

My fiancé and I came her for Hudson Restaurant week and did the prix fixe menu. Here is what we ordered: Appetizers– Roasted Cauliflower Soup, Pan Roasted Mussels Entrees– spiced duck breast, Seafood Pasta Desserts– Hazelnut Honey Cake, Chocolate Brioche My assessment: Bread and Pickled dip(thumbs up), Soup(ehh ok), Mussels(excellent). Duck Breast(ok — hoisin sauce was a little too much), Seafood Pasta(very good and tasty — also plus for colorfulness). Both desserts(ahmazing!) Service was good and you can’t really go wrong with this place for the view. Overall I recommend this place. Food was very good. Not sure I would go back though for regular prices.

My parents come all the time on Thursdays for the oyster and bar Thursdays, so I decided to come with them one Thursday night as they are always raving about it. The place itself has a unique, upscale, nautical theme and immediately reminded me of being at the beach in the summer in the Northeast, very Hamptons like. We came in January, but I would honestly much prefer coming back in the summer.(If you’re unfamiliar with the area, the are a ton of boats parked here, so it’s excellent for a stroll when the weather is nice, plus the view is spectacular). Moving on… there’s a small bar to your right as you walk in that seats about 10 people. The rest of the restaurant is fairly small, although the max occupancy is 230, I think the place can comfortably fit half of that. Nonetheless, the place looks brand new and is absolutely stunning. I loved the comfortable seats too. We sat down and immediately ordered some wine(the $ 20 beer & oyster menu comes with beer or wine). I started with a Chilean Pinot Noir, a bit too bland for me, especially in the dead of Winter. The service was fairly slow overall, which was a bit frustrating as it wasn’t THAT crowded. Thankfully as soon as we sat they brought over some homemade bread with walnuts and cranberries that was very tasty. The bread also came with a delicious accompaniment that I scarfed down. The oysters were huge and delicious and came with delicious homemade cocktail sauce. After the oysters, I ordered a glass of New Zealand Sauv Blanc which was amazing and paired really well with the seafood I ordered. Since I was starving, I also ordered the roasted cauliflower soup which was hot, creamy, and delicious. Highly recommend it. I ordered the scallop burger for dinner, which was very unique in my opinion. The bun was huge and big unnecessary but I liked the corn mayo sauce it came with. The scallop burger itself was really good. The burgers also come with a small side of fries cooked in duck fat. They are very tasty! Before we left they gave everyone a fresh, warm, homemade cookie. It was a nice touch and the cookie was very tasty!

Brunch menu makes you drool just by reading it! I literally took awhile to choose! First let me say 3 stars go to my food but the 4th star goes with the beautiful views. I was here for a bday brunch… a bit humid outside to sit but def go there if it’s a beautiful day for outside sitting! Food was average for me. I got the Fried Egg, Crab and Potato Hash recommended by the waiter. It was good at first but so heavy because of all the potatoes. Lots of carbs in this dish. I did split this dish with my friend and she ordered the Smoked Salmon and Potato Hash Browns with fried egg, bacon and sour cream. This was tasty but salty of course because of the smoked salmon so I couldn’t eat so much due to feeling bloated. I tasted my friends French fries… a bit soggy but the seasoning on it was good. The staff was very friendly. The views again are beautiful! Can’t leave without taking a picture! I would come back to try the other items on the menu and I heard Thursday happy hours Are great!

Oh compromise! Compromise is all about give and take but there can be no give and take on fundamentals. This how I feel about Martime Parc. Yes, the view is spectacular but the service and food was subpar. The night started with myself and two other ladies. It was an awkward five minute wait by the host. She didn’t acknowledge us until one of us decided to speak out! Shortly after we sat outside, our waiter came to take our drink orders. Personally a nice pause would have been nice for us. We were«awe» about the view on beautiful summer night and we wanted to take it all in. We told him to come back. After taking a few pics, we had four different menus to look over. Overwhelming. One of them happened to be a restaurant week menu and We noticed it wasn’t really a «good«deal so we all opted out. By this time our waiter came back again. There was no intro about himself or the restaurant and no ambition in learning if it was our first time or not, so he quickly read the specials to us. I then asked for drink specials and his recommendations. He had no clue. We all played it safe and ordered our usual. Glass of Pinot Grigio, Henny and pineapple juice in a highball glass and margarita on the rocks. It all arrived in timely fashion. Happy. waiter forgot who order what. Disappointed. Moving along with the food. We all shared everything! Here’s the breakdown: Octopus ala plancha Braised rabbit Grilled swordfish MP Burger with duck fries Unanimously we agreed the following: Duck fries were not crunchy– more of a mushy bite. Temperature of the burger was not satisfied as requested. Swordfish was overcooked. Very hard and dry. The veggie broth the swordfish laid on was not impressive at all .It lacked robust flavor. The meat on the rabbit was not tender enough yet the seasoning deserved appreciation. We took pleasure in wiping cleaning the Octopus dish. The Only one that swayed us. The later service with our waiter required excitement. We were not sure if the waiter was tired or born with a type personality B. As a night recap we ordered a corn dessert with ice cream. non-thrilling. Our last groan of the night happened when two managers sat behind us and decided to smoke in plain view of their guests. How impolite and unprofessional. My highest recommendation is to avoid this location at all times. Don’t compromise good food and service just for a view. Keep in mind this place will injure your wallet for subpar quality.

Wow. Seriously. If you’re not a super rich yuppie, come here on Thursday night for their oyster + burger + beer/wine special. So. Worth. It. They give some bread and butter with some feta in olive oil to start. Oysters are fresh. The burger. Omg this burger. They have a couple to choose from, but I just got a regular beef one – so juicy and has some sort of amazing sauce all over. I saved half of my burger so I could experience its amazingness again the next day. Didn’t get any dessert, but they gave us free cookies to try! That’s how you win my loyalty. Service wasn’t too fast or too slow. Just the right pace so you could sit back and enjoy. Will definitely return.
