Setting Sail

Enjoyed a special occasion as a gift to set sail with Captain Dave’s Dark Star late August and had the most wonderful time imaginable. The Dark Star was beautiful, clean, intimate and Dave did what he could to help us enjoy our special evening He allowed us to bring onboard beverages and snacks with access to the galley. There was plenty of seating inside and outside the boat and we could walk without any difficulties. The guys helped him disembark and even helped to steer. We sailed to Lady Liberty and saw Ellis Island and the New York skyline, both were breathtaking as we were there at sunset. Perfect timing, Dave!
Dave sent us directions how to get to the dock and park our cars, along with suggestions of what to bring for our sailing evening. He helped us board the boat, as some of are not spring chickens! and we were grateful for that… He was easy to talk to and low keyed as he spoke of his experiences making this even more memorable. We hardly knew we were sailing as the ride was smooth as silk. We never felt rushed or clocked to return to the dock. It was so enjoyable, we are going to do this again… and again. Have not felt this relaxed for a long time… Thanks, Captain Dave, for a beautiful evening!
