New Record Studios

I came upon NR studios through a friend of mine who knows the owner. I was looking for a studio where I could record a rock track and man was I dumbfounded at the amazing result I got. I was a little skeptical at first because of all of the pop, jazz and classical the studio normally puts out but my track came out rockin’. I’m a bass player so I’m über picky about my sound but I have to say that Rubin the engineer probably got me the best sound I’ve ever put to tape so far. The guitars were crunchy and singin’ and the drums are astoundingly natural. The whole kit breathes and you can hear every nuance that my drummer executed on the track. I also mixed the track there as well and the whole track is truly slamming. It’s so open and the stereo spectrum is magnificent. Since then I have been back there to mix other projects of all sorts and Rubin has never ever failed to deliver. You’ll find that he’s super laid back and willing to accommodate whatever you’re going for recording or mixing wise. He has a HUGE arsenal of outboard gear and lots of great drum kits, guitars, basses and keyboards. Truly pro all around. His rates are very reasonable as well especially for the results you get. NR studios is my go to place for as long as the foreseeable future allows.
