Went there again and even better both the manager and the chef were very accommodating to our needs and helped us out to understand the menu very good. I’ve had family who wasn’t Indian and it was very hard for them to understand the dishes and they also wanted to know about the allergies coz one of them was allergic to nuts they explained it very nice hats off. Will come there again.

I wish i could give them no stars… totally unprofessional service. We ordered online and i even called to make sure what we ordered was cooked… unfortunately still they delivered something else. this is not the first time we have facced this. Food tastes bland and for making it spicy they add chili flakes in the gravy instead of green chili. Never going back to this place again.

This is my go to spot when I’m in the area. The chicken inside of the Paratha is genius. So tasty and flavorful

Paratha Junction has decent Indian food, but we were not as impressed with the food as we were with some of other Indian restaurants in «India Square.» We had Malai Kofta, Coconut chicken, Onion Paratha and Naan. The paratha was quite greasy. Overall, the food was fine, but it’s hard to say I would return because of the plethora of good Indian restaurants in the area.

Worst place. I went there and ordered gobhi paratha, what I got in my plate was kheema paratha. I asked them if it’s gobhi paratha they still insisted that it is gobhi paratha. Later when I told them that this one is not what I ordered, staff was not even courteous enough to apologize for the mistake. Paratha’s were tasteless too!!!

Do not order from here or go there!!! Okay guys here is the deal… I am not sure on the food anymore now that their previous manager«Laksh» who keen on providing the best food and customer service. Despite of horrible delivery time earlier of 45 mins, they just took it to the next level of 2 hrs. I called them after hour and 15 mins and the guy on the phone goes«he will be there in 5 mins». Again I called them after hour and half later, the same guys goes«he will be there in 10 mins». Then the delivery guy shows up close to 2 hrs. So I tried calling them to tell them why I refused the delivery and now they don’t even pickup my number. Definitely not going to give them business again. I won’t be surprised where people have given them 4⁄5 stars are the ones who are working there or their manager trying to get their rating up here on Unilocal!!!

Usually, if you’re expecting good service, Newark Ave is not the place to go. Paratha Junction is an exception to this rule — really good service. Water was on the table literally a second after we walked in and it was consistent throughout. The food was also good — the samosas are really good — piping hot and not oily or heavy at all with really good sweet chutney. Chicken tikka paratha was also good, came with dippable yogurt which was much nicer than just eating it with regular, heavier yogurt. I would not recommend the aloo chat though. Not enough spicy chutney and way too much green chutney.

Unprofessional service. Only one waiter was a responsible one and noticed that we had been waiting for food for quite a while and offered us a soft drink, others just didn’t care. We went there after long weekend to pick up something quickly as we were starving after 6 hrs of drive. The person who took the order said it would 20 minutes and when asked after half an hour, they just didn’t care to respond until I yelled that they at least need to respond. Finally we got food after 50 min. Never picking up from this place.

A popular restaurant on the street, this place serves a variety of veg n non– veg paranthas. We tried their Atom Bomb Parantha which was more like an Indian Mooli(Radish) parantha with lots of chillies. The Mutton Rogan Josh n Kadai Paneer were extremely greasy. However their Naan tasted much better than rest of the dishes that we ordered.

The atom bomb paratha was on the salty side. I couldn’t finish it. The cauliflower appetizer was tasty… like a vegetarian kung pao, but again the salt. The chana masala was the best thing. maybe the meat dishes are better?

Delivery was prompt and delivery guy was super nice. I ordered chicken tandoori and samosas. Food is most definitely authentic and ingredients cant get anymore fresher than this. I was hesitant at first to try it but glad i did. The Samosas which is the right crisp when you bite it and the potatoes and other ingredients mixed with it is just heaven esp when mixed with the green sauce! Its what i look forward to everytime. Chicken dish was juicy and flavorful as well and love eating it with the basmati rice that it comes with. Cannot wait to order from them for a third time.

I am NOT a fan of Indian fare. Why you ask? Well, My stomach doesn’t handle it very well. Once consumed Indian food begins to dance in my stomach like a Bollywood movie and the motions come and go, consistent with Bollywood dance scenes. Yikes. So I stay away from it. Also, the spices tend to permeate my clothes and I like my scent to be curry-free so that’s that. But I will make an exception for Paratha Junction. Why, you ask again? First I blame my boyfriend who has shown me not all Indian food is the reason TUMS are still very popular. Also, Because this is the first time Indian food doesn’t create a Holi day festival in my intestines. And lastly their lamb curry(with extra lamb please!) tends to make me happy dance rather than make my stomach involuntarily dance. You know what I’m saying? It also helps that the service is truly amazing. Waiters are super polite and attentive. Totally give this place a go if you’re in the area, in the mood for Indian, and want to eat to the tunes of Indian music videos playing. Also it’s byob. You’re welcome.

An Indian restaurant likely to be «authentic» when a one sees people of that same culture zealously cooking, preparing and serving that food. Hearing the language spoken between the cooks, and staff and patrons definite BONUS points. Next test is the secret menu that no one seems to know about. Now we know that this is the spot I need to be at! Enter Paratha Junction of Journal Square’s «Little India» or «Indian square», personally I like” Little Bombay”. It has all the bells and whistles I mentioned above. The area can be an overwhelming place full of action cramped on this one unique block of Jersey city, let alone NJ itself. Look no further stop into Paratha Junction. On my birthday I had the most amazing meal with my girlfriend. She is not one to eat Indian. It’s too spicy. she claims. She buckled down and threw down. I did not ask for my «MAKEITHOT like I am Indian phrase» We had the Tandoori half chicken was a bit dry but used the curry from Lamb we ordered to give a bit of moisture. I just loved the flat bread Paratha served just went well with the rice. The place is byob so that is always a plus. My only gripe, the Lamb curry was missing umm… more LAMB. Was a lot of curry, no lamb meat. That is the american side of me, I need a big old piece of meat when eating these type of dishes. The service is exceptional, the workers took their time, eagerly to teach me all about the menu. Everything was done with a smile. They were ready and willing to serve. Very rare do I find this in a place witch such modest prices. The ambiance is quaint and cozy. My girlfriend enjoyed the flat screen television playing native Indian shows. I recognized Bollywood stars Salman & Arpita Kahn on screen. I am a non-Indian and can confidently say this is as authentic as it gets in JSQ. Its open till 2 am during the week, and till 4 am on weekends. I think only thing to make this place more authentic, is if they accepted Rupees for currency. As Akshay Kumar would say: «DON’T ANGRYME!!» and just visit this jewel of place.

Best Indian restaurant in JC Little India. 1) The food is excellent. 2) We got the railway curry, rogan josh and keema paratha. 3) The prices are reasonable. Although neighboring Canteen is cheaper. 4) The ambiance is nice and cozy.

Great for a quick Indian food craving/late night grub. Variety of stuffing choices in parathas. Rich and buttery gravies on the aide.
