The worst possible chicken Caesar salad you can get delivered for $ 12. Literally just lettuce and flimsy thin pieces of chicken. They didn’t even bother to wash the lettuce– I chewed on sand the entire time and had to wash my mouth out to get it out. There was only enough dressing for a couple of bites. Wish I had my $ 12 back.

Great restaurant for dinner for two, groups, or a private party. We hosted our wedding rehearsal lunch there; rented out the dining room for a party of about 20 people. Lunch was buffet style with salad, pasta, and pizza. Everyone loved it and it was a great casual way to have friends and families mingle. BYOB helps the cost as well. Working with Danny(manager) was easy and enjoyable. Also best sauce in Jersey City!

By far one of the restaurants that make me wait for decades. Food takes time to prepare and the servers are unaccommodating. I’m having a thought on coming back though due to their reasonable price range. Loving the Sicilian, comes out fresh and hot. Tasty!

Ordered the Mike pizza which I was super looking forward to! Delivery was super quick. The pizza was hot and fresh! Sadly they had sent the wrong one. With a quick easy call to the store, they happily Arranged a new pie to be sent out. 20mins later the Mike had arrived, DELIGHTED to say that it was worth the wait. Totally up there with other top JC pizza places.

The best brick oven pizza in Jersey City hands down. The bread is out of this world and the mozzarella is so fresh.

Our $ 23 pizza arrived an hour later and was still piping hot. That was the only PRO. Do not order Sicilian style it’s so thick and tasteless. I love me a thick crust but this is heavy crunchy crust it’s like eating a hard kitchen sponge. Once it cooled down the bread tastes like a wet kitchen sponge its texture is so gross. I’d like to try their regular pizza before giving up on this place. So effin expensive and I’m not sure why?

Waited way too long to try Rustique after hearing loads of great things– it lived up to its billing and then some. Really great thin-crust, brick oven pizza. One of the best mesclun salads I’ve ever had. BYOB. Super-friendly servers. Even a few outdoor tables. My new go-to pizza spot in JC.

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed! I’ve only ever gotten take out, but I’ve taken out so many times that I think it’s finally time to pen my review… Rustique is the best option for delivery pizza and Italian food in downtown Jersey City. I’ve literally tried everything else — Stellas, Alex’s, Helens, Two Boots, Abbondanza… the list goes on and on. Rustique blows everything out of the water. The only pizza I could compare it to is Roman Nose, but their price point is definitely bit high for delivery and is better suited for a classy dinner out. Everything here is fresh and high quality. The portions are large and the prices are fair. Their vodka pie with proscuitto is slammin’, as are their salads, rolls and penne vodka. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered anything that I didn’t love. I’m trying to eat healthier(aka should probably cool it with the pasta and pizza) but sometimes I just crave an authentic Italian meal. And on top of that, sometimes I just want that meal delivered, for those times when moving is just not an option. When I’m looking to satisfy that craving with minimal movement involved, Rustique has got my back. Love it here!

Wow. Ordered delivery through Eat24. Waited… And waited. At the 90min mark we called. They told us we were the next delivery. 30min later no pizza, we call again, put on hold and hung up on… Immediately call back, put on hold, then told«we just spoke to the driver and you are next.» We wait… 30min Call again put on hold, wait, 12min in hold hang up and call again, talk to manager who now sees the order, pizza was never made, they then made it and delivered it, free of charge. I understand mistakes happen, 3hrs for a pizza is pretty ridiculous, they did the right thing in giving it to us for free and appreciate that. The thing that really kills me and leads me to Unilocal this, is the lies and disrespect within the 6 phone calls my wife made. Absolutely unacceptable, this place will never get our business again. «I just talked to the driver, your next,» yeah your next on my «worst service and dishonest business list» !!

I love this place! My boyfriend and I were in the mood for pizza when we stumbled on this place. It was gorgeous out and they say us right outside underneath a cherry blossom tree. The pizza is delicious thin crust. It has so much flavor. They put the cheese underneath the sauce which I love! Their standard slice is like a grandma pizza. The staff is super friendly and the service is so quick. They also deliver which is so convenient! The waiter brought us out a big bottle of water. The prices are great because one slice is the equivalent of two. They cut their pies into six big pieces. It is convenient for medium size groups. There is an indoor dining room. They do take private party reservation. Alcohol is bring your own! Good way to save some money on drinks. I will definitely be coming back!

There are two entrances: one that faces the corner and a side entrance for take out orders. We walked through to the take out door and while pondering through the menu the owner or manager came by to provide us with assistance. When he told us that they make 600lbs of fresh mozzarella in house each week we were sold on trying it out. While waiting for our food, we decided we weren’t in a rush to return back to the office and chose to eat on one of the two outdoor tables instead of taking it to go. I’m glad they have outdoor seating since it was so nice outside and we had a view of the blossoming trees. The same owner came out and surprisingly set us up with proper tableware, a bottle of water, and glasses. It was as if we were part of the main dining room! Don’t worry, we ended up leaving a tip as we received such good service. This was super nice of him and the vegetarian portabello sandwich we had definitely tasted very fresh. I’d definitely recommend coming by here.

Makes me a bit sad writing this review, because Rustique was one of the first places we ate at in Jersey City a few years back, and it was pretty good back then. Since then, there’s been a drop in quality that’s been disappointing, to say the least. Our last several orders have come either missing ingredients, or the crust would be burnt to a black crisp. I’m not entirely sure what contributed to the change in the past few years, but I’m hoping Rustique makes a comeback so it can be one of our favorites again.

I’ve lived a couple of blocks from Rustique Pizza for the past 2.5 years but have never stopped in until recently. Perhaps it’s because the restaurant is super tiny or more likely it’s because the brick oven pizza competition is downtown Jersey City is pretty f*cking fierce. Service was great, the waitress was really nice. The mozzarella sticks were great — served in a cute little metal basket. Now the pizza… It’s a bit of a cross between authentic brick oven pizza and just regular Jersey style pizza — which was a bit unexpected. It was good but it’s definitely not THE best. The Margherita pizza is basically a plain pie with some baby pieces of basil(which is fine, basil is gross), but it wasn’t anything special. It was nice and crispy, which was great. Perhaps their pizzas with toppings is where it’s at but I’m a Margherita girl at heart. Sorry Rustique, you’re good but I feel like I’ve now«been there, done that» and will continue to frequent my other favorite brick oven pizza spot in downtown JC.

Terrible service. After waiting two hours and more than 30 minutes after calling and given an estimate of another ten minutes, our one single pizza has not arrived. Keep in mind, I live two blocks away and it takes about 2 minutes to cook a pizza in a brick oven. Totally unacceptable service no matter how it would have tasted after two hour wait before I finally called again to cancel my order. There are way too many great pizza places around here to accept poor service. Order from somewhere, literally anywhere else. No pizza is worse than a poor pizza.

Really good option for pizza in Jersey City! I order half a Meat Lovers(meatball, sausage, and pepperoni) and half a Prosciutto di Parma and arugula(prosciutto di Parma, arugula, mozzarella, roasted garlic oil, shaved Parmesan). I picked up the pie so it was a little cold by the time I walked back, but even then, it was still really good. They didn’t skimp on any of the ingredients. Plus, they have coupons! I mentioned it when I called to order but forgot it when I actually showed up, but they honored it anyway. I’ll definitely be back to try their other pies, but I think next time, I’ll sit in and eat the pie as soon as it comes out of the oven!

Eh. I wasn’t blown away by my experience. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good it just didn’t knock my socks off. We had the meatballs, the«Tammy» and the«Frank.» The Tammy was kind of bland. They had roasted garlic on there I wish they cut up instead of place as a whole clove. The Frank was good but a tad too meaty for my personal preferences — my friend who I came with had no issue with the meaty factor so maybe it’s just me. The meatballs were good… average. The place itself is cute and the staff is very friendly and accommodating, I just wasn’t blown away. I would come back here if I was meeting up with someone and it was suggested, but I won’t go out of my way to visit when there are other really good options in the area. Oh and PS — a small is a 12 inch pie — definitely good enough for 2 people to share. We learned that the hard way :)

Pretty good pizza. Got delivery. You can select the size of pie you want. Tried the Tammy — just OK, I didn’t love the onions. The White pie was fantastic though. Would order from again.

Pretty good pizza. Didn’t try any other items on the menu. Prices are decent, ingredients are good. Some combinations don’t work so well together on their menu, but to each’s own. I had their Margherita which was good, but nothing stood out to me. I honestly cannot remember the taste of the sauce. If you live in the area this is a very convenient spot to order out or sit in.

Rustique is a strong contender for the best pie in Jersey City. The corner restaurant has a quiet, wood-and-brick interior that would make a charming backdrop to a meal, though the business seems geared towards takeout. The menu covers the basics: hot and cold Italian subs, a small selection of pizza-place basics(chicken marsala, eggplant parm, cesar salad, .) in addition to brick oven pizza. The pizza is where they shine: super fresh ingredients, homemade mozz, and inventive combinations(such as the ‘Tammy’: caramelized onions, spinach, and just-roasted garlic). Delicious and lighter than most pizza you’ll find in the area, though the crust is, at best, inconsistent, frequently overcooked and prone to shattering. I’ve only tried the pizza so far, but those subs have been calling on me for a while now…
