I love this place. Came here with a friend and I was surprised. He told me that it’s a local gem and not much people know about it because they don’t advertise. He’s absolutely right. Anyways the food is spectacular the seafood soup is the best I’ve had bar none. Then the fish was cooked to perfection. It had a great char and spiced to perfection. We also ordered the Tahini sauce with salad and rice. Honestly I was not to crazy about the rice but the soup, fish and Tahini made it awesome.
After I told my brother about the place he told me that he went there with a few of his friends and they loved it. To be fair my brother doesn’t eat or even like fish he ate something else from another place. But as a person who can’t stand any seafood he told me that it’s a very nice place even for him because you can’t even smell anything fishy. This was a compliment.
Well done my friends at Samakmak.

Go here. You won’t beat this place for seafood quality, or price. Delicious Egyptian methods of frying fish, and making the food. The owner served us, and he was very friendly.

This place is fantastic! My husband and I had fried calamari, fried shrimp, and grilled branzini served with rice, salads and tahini. Everything was perfect! The quality of the food is exceptionally high, portions large and prices reasonable. The gentleman who served us, and that I assume is the owner, could not have been more accommodating.
I live in the neighborhood and couldn’t be happier this place is here.

Came in on a random Sunday night and was a bit scared of the empty restaurant. Do not fear! This place is legit. Very tasty seafood. Had the grilled branzini platter, which came with pita, cucumber and tomato salad, and tahini sauce. The branzini was perfectly prepared. Skin was super crispy. It was seasoned with salt, pepper, lemon and cilantro. Very good! Sam (the owner) was also very pleasant and hospitable. Will come back!

With the few M. E seafood restaurants in the area, this is probably one of the best. I’ve ordered a few times from here and the food has always been fresh and really tasty. Just wish they would deliver! Good food… good prices. Can’t go wrong.

This is literally the best seafood restaurant I have been to in a long time! The grilled shrimp are amazing. Best shrimp I’ve ever had. Served with rice, salad and tahini you can’t go wrong. The whole grilled tilapia and branzini are also spectacular. Simple yet perfect. Every bite it better than the last. Luckily we live around the corner, this is definitely our local go-​to restaurant. Also so cheap! And to top it off the best service from the lovely couple that run this joint. Feels like home.
