Fast, rude and with increasing unprofessional attitudes as I visited this store. Also this store was not even clean. The people working there appear to not care less. Their uniforms were messy and sloppy in the inside as well as the outside. They had no patience at all. While I was in the middle of ordering, one of the barista’s had the nerve to yell at me. Even though there wasn’t a line. She was beyond rude. I really would think twice before coming here. I would warn people about coming to this sub-par Starbucks. I’m very disgusted. The customer such as myself should not be a punching bag! I trust management will not do a thing to fix anything. Incredible…

I am a regular Starbucks customer and enjoy their coffees and service but this location at Exchange Place is horrible! The staff is rude and I’ve heard them complaining about customers not tipping and even making fun of people that weren’t satisfied with their drinks. Most people working here are rude and the place is not clean at all. I work right in the neighborhood but after so many bad experiences it’s well worth the extra 10 minute walk to the Grove Street location where everyone is friendly and the drinks are much better!

I’ve visited this location many times at various times of day… they are often out of the drink I’m interested in. The staff is friendly but how about help me by suggesting another drink instead of just standing there stone faced… a busy location like this really should be well stocked all the time that’s my opinion.

I go to this starbucks all the time, especially when taking the PATH. Everyone is so friendly and I get my coffee very quickly. It is one of the highlights of my day. The lines are always very long and they are quick.

This has got to be one of the worst managed Starbucks I have ever been to. It’s dirty, crowded, poorly stocked, and the people working here are clueless and rude. This morning they had chill club music blaring to the point where the bass was blowing out the speakers. I asked someone if they could turn it down and she promptly ignored me. The line was about 20 deep and they had people emptying garbage cans and dragging them through the crowded store instead of serving customers. The line just wasn’t moving. Yesterday they had run out of Pike during a mid afternoon rush. They have one person at the bar and there’s spilled milk all over the place and a sink full of cloudy water they’re dunking containers into for cleaning. There’s always 4 – 5 people behind the counter but none of them are actually serving customers; they’re mulling around carrying bags of coffee or stocking cups. Why aren’t they doing this during slow times and serving customers during the rush???

Always friendly and cheerful crew. I was helped immediately upon entering. Cashier offered an alternative beverage. Paid with my card and got out quickly. Thanks!

Rush Hour: Before 8−9am, 2:30−4pm. Avoid these time slots otherwise you’ll be in for a long wait! Unless of course that’s what you want ;)

This location is the WORST among the hundreds I have visited over the years including internationally. I work nearby, been 2 years so I have history on my side. I mean that with the greatest respect to the staff but it just is poorly run. It takes forever to get drinks, even when order is places thru the app. one barista just keeps dancing while at the espresso machine, not giving the least care to people waiting to get to work. I have seen smaller locations and busier run more efficiently. I would love not to go there anymore but it is the only place for coffee nearby.

Probably one of the worst encounters with a Starbucks I’ve ever stepped into. I came into today as I ride the path to work for an iced coffee, I placed my order with the cashier who then walks over to the beverage counter, I assumed she was making mine so I was cool with it. 10 minutes pass by and I’m still waiting for my beverage and to pay. The other cashier finally decided to ask me if I was being helped and I responded with well she took my order and never processed my payment, she was kind to ring me out. I would have asked to speak to manager but was running behind. I will save the trip next time and go to the one near my office going forward. To the employees try smiling it won’t hurt!

Who is managing this Starbucks? Anyone? Literally anyone at all? I work less than a block away from this Starbucks. I like Starbucks. So I come here often. I have worked many fast food jobs before. I am always patient because I know what it’s like, and it’s sucky. …But that being said. Let’s start with my most recent and work back. I got two cake pops. He asked what kind. «Salted caramel and birthday cake.» He said ok. He put it in the computer. He double checks and says, «salted caramel and birthday cake? I just wanna make sure I don’t get it wrong.» I laughed and said, ‘if you don’t get it wrong, it’ll be my first time here where they got it right.’ He laughs and says yeah it gets busy sometimes. Then proceeds to give me the wrong cake pops. The experience prior to this. I go in for a frappé convo made with soy milk. I watch her make it. She literally makes it in the ‘dairy’ marked container. But you know what, they ALWAYS do this despite me *always* getting soy milk. And it usually is made with soy milk so I was like sure whatever. Fast forward to me having reactions to dairy the rest of the day. The time before that? I go in. Tall salted caramel frappuccino with soy milk. I wait 2 minutes. They call out a tall salted caramel latte with soy milk. The woman next to me says«no, it was a pumpkin spice latte with NO soy milk.» And the guy goes«no, it’s for her» and points to me. I say, «no, mine was a salted caramel *frappuccino* with soy milk.» They apologize. Next they call out a pumpkin spiced latte with soy milk. The woman says, NO, mine DOESNT have soy milk. They go back. Finally, pumpkin spiced latte. She takes it. I’m waiting for mine. They call out a salted caramel frappé, no soy. I said I asked for soy. It turned out to be for the woman who ordered after me. So I wait. 6 more people get their drink. It’s been 15 – 20 minutes. Finally I say, «okay, is someone MAKING my drink?» They ask what I ordered. I tell them. The manager then turns to his employee and yells at her saying, «I TOLD you to make that like ten minutes ago!» to which she replies, uh, NO, you didn’t. Ok, dude: do not yell at employeesinfrontofcustomers It was clearly just for the sake of looking like he was in control, but obviously he was not and it was degrading to his employee to yell at her on the floor like that when he SHOULD have just grabbed a cup and made it rather than wasting even more of my time. It’s been nearly a half an hour at this point. I am with a toddler. She is getting upset because she held it together nicely for a long time but now she’s screaming. He offers me a refund but omfg just get me out of here Uhh let’s see, one time I ordered a latte with soy milk. The guy scoffed and said«another one of ‘those.’» Sorry, another what??? Person with lactose intolerance??? Yes, we are quite common. And no joke probably 5 separate times I’ve asked for cake pops and they said sorry we forgot to put them out so they’re still frozen, do you want them? And I take them cuz tbh that’s fine, whatever. But then I get charged full price. Every other Starbucks that this has happened at I *always* get them free or discounted when this happens which admittedly has only been twice but still. Why are you charging full price when this is obviously not what the consumer is supposed to be getting due to YOUR negligence Ok I’m done holy sh*t exchange place Starbucks get it to-frickin-gether

Came in here yesterday to get my mango black iced tea lemonade in the afternoon. I’ve been here couple times since I started working in Jersey City, and the first time the iced tea was served just fine– shaken just like advertised. But the barista yesterday was a lazy woman who didn’t bother shaking my iced tea! She’s not too busy to be chatting w her guy friend/customer, but obviously asking her to perform a manual labor like shaking a drink was too much for her. The shaking adds air to the tea which adds a nice flavor to an otherwise just a sugary drink, so I was quite displeased w the iced tea yesterday. I was so pissed. People, watch the barista when she makes your drinks(especially if she has grey hair/wig)– she takes short cuts!

I enjoy Starbucks coffee very much and as I work across from this location, I am a regular there. during rush hour(usually between 7 – 9 and 2 – 3:30) they often seem overwhelmed. I guess you can credit this to lack of managment in there and the rather young staff. some of them are very friendly and up to par, others not really. as others have noted in there review, the cleanliness is not always at the level it should be. i have more than once seen ants where the trash is. as i usually mever eat anything there, I can’t speak to the flies in the food display… the location is great and they also have good business during the weekend due to the proximity to the path station and light rail. can’t forget to mention the great view!

I come during the morning rush between 7 – 9 and there is always a line but being in close proximity to the PATH and Lightrail that’s expected with a morning commute. The lines move fairly quickly and the staff is always courteous and positive. I adore them! I usually order the Café Vanilla Frap and it’s made delicious every time. The space of the store is a bit cramped but with awesome customer service and beautiful scenery right outside at the water front staying inside isn’t important.

Right off exchange place Path & Lightrail. It’s always packed in the morning and afternoons, but the staff work quickly and efficiently together.

I’ve never had anything bad to say about a Starbucks so this might be a first :/ I recently started working a few blocks away and this location is on my way into work. I haven’t found a good coffee spot yet so I decided to stop by this morning. The service was a bit slow… I’m used to busy coffee places taking my order before I get to the register to speed up the line. However, this place didn’t seem too concerned. I ordered my usual caramel macchiato and, to be honest, I’ve had better :/

One of the slowest Starbucks I’ve been to. Some of the Starbucks locations I’ve frequented in the past had rush hour down to a well managed pattern that had customers orders taken as they stood in line to pay and prepared by the barista shortly after paying. This is not one of this locations. Despite the consistently long line every morning, nobody will take your order until you reach the cashier. The cashier in question seems too concerned about the front door being open than quickly ringing up customers. Otherwise you will get the standard Starbucks fare in a nice location overlooking the Hudson. It’s just too bad that I have to schedule so much extra time if I want a drink before work. Perhaps I’ll have to settle for the coffee at Au Bön Pain in the mornings.

Most relaxing time of my whole week, sipping my hot pumpkin spice latte at my favorite spot over looking hudson river and NYC manhattan, very nice ambience, good staff, there is a spot to have a privacy space and cosy interior for casual goers. Highly recommended.

There are always dozens of people waiting for coffee here and there is zero place to stand to wait. Seems like they’re understaffed. Or, appropriately staffed and just a bit slow. On the upside, there are benches along the waterfront that offer the best view of Manhattan.

Store #17862. Breakfast at 9:15am on a Saturday before meeting my closest and dear friends for my usual Starbucks quick grub, banana chocolate chip coffee cake at $ 2.25. This Starbucks sits inside a slate modern office building adjacent to New Jersey’s PATH train. One facility exist and spotted by the entryway. Seating is ample where an outdoor area is readily available.
