I am a Gold member and purchase coffee from Starbucks locations all over the world about 70+ times per month. Out of hundreds of Starbucks locations I’ve visited, this one makes the worse Iced Coffee, in par with those Starbucks locations you find along the New Jersey Turnpike, that are equally disgusting.

The cashier was great! The lady that made my coffee put so much milk I almost got sick. You could not taste the coffee. Nevertheless, the lady making the coffee and handing it out, had such a heavy accent we couldn’t understand what coffee was ready. In the end, Someone took mine, and a quick 10 min trip to starbucks turned into 25.

The staff here USED to be great. Now they got a tall guy with either long hair or pony tail who cannot remember anything even for one second. You can tell your name 5 times, and he will still get it wrong. He cannot even manage to remember your coffee which does not take making. Else you are stuck with an older lady. Very nice lady but equally bad. She forgets everything. This is when there are all together 3 customers. Step it up guys, this is Starbucks and not 7 – 11 No one has the time and energy to wait for you to get simple stuff right

The Starbucks in exchange place really needs to take some notes from this place Not a ton to say: super friendly, no matter how long the line. Quick. Efficient. They’ve never messed up my order. Short review but I don’t really need to go on much more.

Since I’ve been in Jersey City(four years now), the quality of this starbucks has gone down. The service is always slow and the drinks are not consistent. I only order black hot coffee or ice coffee(without sugar). It always tastes«off» or the ice coffee has sugar in it. If you are making someone’s order and are not sure, ask! It seems like a revolving door of staff. Sometimes I’ll spot a usual barista(those are the good ones!), but that is few and far between. Because there is no other alternative in this shithole of an area, the starbucks has no competition nor incentive to improve. The mall dunkin donuts is terrible and the starbucks in there is too far and inconvenient to get to on a daily basis.

This place used to be much better when the old staff was around. Most of the original staff is gone, although I do see a few of them in other random Starbuckses throughout the area. Nowadays, the service is hit or miss. For the most part, the baristas & cashiers are pretty nice, but there’s this one chubby, relatively short girl with braces and little piercings… she’s a bit rude and there’s something off about her. I ordered some iced green tea and also asked her for water, and she gave it to me in a tall cup. When I questioned her as to why I can’t have a larger size, she said«we only give water in tall cups now.» She made up some crap about how they run out of cups and whatever. Give me a break! It sucks to be treated like this, because I’ve been a loyal customer of this Starbucks for over 6 years now and have never felt such disrespect before. It’s not like I only go here for water everyday and use up all their cups! =/

Really really bad service here. I asked for a ground size, but it came out to be a tall size.

So disappointed with the service today. I ordered something simple and I still don’t understand what went wrong. The guys at the register were very helpful, but the heavy set girl making the drinks defenately wasn’t. Couldn’t believe the rude behavior she was displaying. Not the behavior I expect from a Starbucks employee. And the drink I asked for was made by her first incorrectly so I asked for another, the heavy set guy that made the other one was aggressive in telling me that he can’t make it the way I want it, and when he finally did it literally 5 second a slap dash watered down ice coffee was handed to me. Instead of asking again I just gave up. Never going back. Wasted my $ 6 and was completely not satisfied. More like pissed the hell off. And i hope cooperate sees this… Just saying.

Horrible customer service, these guys are fast in taking order but when it come to delivery of the drinks or food these guys are supper slow. Lady made the frappuccino in the blender and forgot that, after some mins later I reminded her that you forgot to pour the coffee, there was no sorry that we served at least 5 people who ordered after me and with a rude voice«here you go». Same thing happened with ordering something heated, these guys forget the order that food is placed.

Live just across the street from this place and have been going here almost every day for the past 3 years to get my coffee in the morning before work! Great location, just on the waterfront and across from the PATH station! Staff here are great and know you by name and drink over time. Only knock on the place, are the huge lines from 800−930ish, which pretty much stretch through the door!

Friendly staff but for some reason it’s always freezing here! Not sure if it’s because it’s near the water or problems with their hvac. Could be also to deter people from staying for long periods of time.

Starbucks should be like all Starbucks locations… but we all know that’s just not true! The prices here are a little higher than other locations and they don’t put coconut milk out for plain coffee(but other milks are always out). I’ve decked some stars for that and because it’s slightly cramped. Service can be slow but I think that is pretty consistent with other locations. Also, the baristas look kind of messy… again, not fair to judge but when the baristas and cashiers are client-facing they should look like they showered at the very least. I wouldn’t come here again despite its convenient location to the PATH train because of what I mentioned above.

Like any Starbucks in the country this one seems to have drinks on par the only issue here is that the staff is not very attentive and relatively slow compared to most Starbucks of ever been to United States! They definitely need to work on their customer service and speed but the Starbucks brand itself the coffee is consistent the food always seems to be consistent and I would return divide coffee again

I have a real bone to pick with Starbucks. I always order the same thing. An Iced Coffee. Black. Unsweetened. When you order a regular coffee, they give it to you. When you order one with ice, that extra step of them putting ice in it requires you to wait at the end of the line with the Frappuccinos and double whip cinnamon mocha chi latte. WHY? You pour it out of a spout and add ice. It also drives me crazy watching the barista waiting for the espresso to brew when they could be just putting ice in my drink. I think this is corporate policy, because I have seen this exact same procedure in Hoboken and West NY, all Starbucks that I have frequented, as well as NYC. That rant aside, the location is terrific. I love to get an iced coffee and walk along the riverwalk enjoying the view of the marina and skyline. They could do a slightly better job making sure the milk and cream dispensers are full and the counters are wiped down, but now I’m just knit-picking. I will still come here because it is convenient and the location is beautiful. Sadly, I will just have to wait a little longer for my simple drink.

This is the only Starbucks in the Newport area. Therefore, it’s always very crowded. Be aware, It’s very hard to find a seat. If you come here during the summer time, you would be able to sit outside and enjoy the view of Manhattan, which is very cool. I missed the old staffs a lot. They were a lot friendlier and«normal». One of the new staffs likes to play with her lips while talking to her customers, which was not very professional. Other than that, I don’t have any negative things to say about this place.
