Warning! They will ruin your clothes and lie about it!
We had been having some easy and standard laundry and dry cleaning done here for a few months on the recommendation of friends in the area without incident, although my most recent run in makes me wonder if they actually know how to dry clean at all, or if they just throw everything in the wash! They are cheap and fast (apparently you get what you pay for), but I think I would rather pay a little more for someone who is not inept, incompetent, or just plain liars, which is what you get at State Cleaners.
We brought a hat… actually my wife’s favorite hat, the one she takes everywhere and wouldn’t be caught in the sun without, for dry cleaning. It was (rest in peace) from Banana Republic and said «Professional Dry Clean Only» on the tag, which was my mistake, because I thought State Cleaners were professional, how wrong I was!
To shorten a long story, they put it in the wash! Shockingly, or not to a professional, the hat was destroyed (see pictures). The leather deteriorated and cracked, and stained the cloth.
To top it all off, the guy said it was ruined because it was made from fake materials and the tag was a lie (and btw, my wife is an expert on real vs fake materials). He was insistent that the tag, Banana Republic, and my wife are all lying and it was a fake plastic leather, not real leather, and therefore it wasn’t his fault. He wouldn’t even pay to replace the hat, which was originally about $ 60.
They clearly cut corners, have no idea what they are doing, are rude, and lie!

Best dry cleaner in JC heights. I’ve been bringing clothes here on a weekly basis for quite a while and they always get the stains out. Customer service is good and prices are lower than most in the area.

Great neighborhood dry cleaners. The prices are pretty reasonable and they do great work. No complaints from me or my wife. The work is done quickly and always on time. I’ve had alteration done to suits and blazers. All at a great price and they did a professional job. Highly recommend!!!
