I love Cheesecake Factory but this location seriously needs some help. I’ve never seen the same staff here more than once. The last time I was here my salad had moldy blueberries and tasted like dirt. Plus, there are suspiciously way too many flies floating around. Avoid.

Although I like Cheesecake Factory, this location is 1 star for their service, host and the manager. Had a group of people for lunch, we were told we would be sited in 30 minutes — end up waiting an hour. Asked to talk to a manager, manager never showed up.

I love Cheesecake Factory, especially their herb crusted salmon. However the hostess with the reddish brown hair with the nose piercing was rude, she saw me coming and just left

Was at the mall and decided to stop in and try their lunch menu. Thankfully there was no wait time, since it was pretty early and we were able to get seated quickly. We scanned the lunch menu, decided to have a few appetizers/small plates to share and were very happy with our choices as some of the apps were a bigger portion than others. Overall the space is big, the décor is bright, clean and modern. The wait staff was on point and very helpful with questions and accommodations.

It’s the Cheesecake Factory. It’s a chain. It’s reliable and you know what to expect. I came here with my husband and two week old baby as we were walking past and there was ten minutes left of happy hour. Two drinks later and we were happy. The entire bar area is happy hour from 4−6pm so we ordered a beer and a cocktail which were both great. We also ordered a factory nachos which was $ 5.95 alongside many other happy hour apps. The plate that arrived was humongous! Seriously crazy sized — we didn’t even finish it. Best value for $ 6 ever. So all in all, a great pit stop when we needed a seat and a chill out. It’s not fine dining, and it’s not crappy. It is what it is. Just don’t take me there on an anniversary or special occasion!

I ordered the spaghetti carbonara with chicken. The food was okay, I’d give it 3 stars. However, the customer service was excellent. Management was able to accommodate our party of 10 with ease.

It was my first time at a Cheesecake Factory and obvious I thought they sell desserts only. But seriously that is only a reason to go to that place. So many choices on the menu I couldn’t make my mind, but thanks God they have«combinations» options. The crusted salmon with shrimp scampi was my choice and I don’t regret. At all! For dessert… Lemoncello cream torte. Jesus. The cake itself was a little bit too sweet for my taste, but the big fresh strawberries were there just to balance the sweetness and bitterness. Just as perfect as I am saying. Thanks for this extraordinary experience I’m leaving the city tomorrow… But thinking on when I will be coming back!

I love the cheesecake factory! The food is always great and most of the time so is the service. I had my usual, crispy chicken costolletta, so yummy!!! I ordered mac and cheese this time instead of the asparagus it comes with and I got charged extra, I didn’t appreciate that. I wish the waitress would have told me. I usually order a different side since I don’t like asparagus and have never been charged extra. Anyways, my only other gripe is it smelled fishy or like wet socks, just a strange smell.

Very disappointed with the service. First, no body even asked us for water Second: Appetizers and main course was served together(that too after 30 mins) Third: Drinks were served towards the end of our meal.

I’ve been to a few locations in the past but I decided to take my parents to the newly opened Newport location for brunch last Sunday. We were seated quickly and our server was prompt to take orders and have them out to us. We tried the crab hash, crème brûlée French toast, and monte cristo. All dishes were huge portions and true to form for Cheesecake Factory. The coffee was on the weak side so you’re probably better off having your own from one of the places in the mall. All in all, a nice location with nice service. I would bring my parents back again.

Started coming here when first opened, came here today with Family and it was terrible. Food + 10 Service — 100 We were seated as soon as we walked and about 15 minutes went by and a server came up and asked if we were being taken of. I answered no and since we waited so long we were ready to order the whole dinner appetizers/dinner and even desert. When the appetizers came, one of them was not what was ordered so that was taken back and right one was bought to us shortly. We had to ask for bread 3 times from three different servers and finally the bread arrived. Now it was time for dinner and 3 out of the 4 dinners ordered arrived so we all waited to eat and about 20 minutes later we had to ask the server where the dinner was, she went back to check and came back later on and bought the much awaited dinner which by this time all the rest of our food was cold. The server stated that the manager would be coming to our table shortly. The manager arrived and stated he was sorry that the order was delayed !!! That was all he said !!! WTF Dinner taste was very good and now it was time for coffee and desert. Coffee came out and had to ask the server for sugar and that was also a project. OMG :-(get me out of here. Not looking for Freebie, hopefully the management staff would see this write up and use it as a training tool so that the Cheesecake Factory of Jersey City maintains the great standard of food and exceptional service as in all of the other Cheesecake restaurants.

We had no wait time since we came in on a Monday night around 9pm. We were greeted by the hostess and sat down right away. Our server James was awesome. He was very attentive and helpful. We ordered the smokehouse burger with sweet potato fries and I had the bow tie chicken pasta with a garlic sauce(I forgot what it’s called). My bf said his burger was pretty good but wished he got more fries since all you get is about a cup full. My pasta was pretty good. It had really good flavors and I really liked the tomatoes in it. My only thing is it had kind of a burnt aftertaste. Not sure if it was supposed to taste like that or it was the pancetta. Regardless I ate it and it was still good. Probably won’t order that again though. James was great with keeping our cups full and answering any questions we had. CHEESECAKETIME! We ordered two kinds, the red velvet cake and the white chocolate macadamia caramel cheesecake. My boyfriend liked them both. I was pretty meh about the red velvet but the caramel macadamia was soooooo good. Definetly a must try. Didn’t spend a fortune and we enjoyed a nice night out. Would be back again soon.

I had no idea this place was open until i saw it on the malls website. We came out on a saturday late afternoon and had only a 10 min wait for a party of 5 after being told 30 mins… Not bad! Our waitress was efficient and personable and all of our food came out as ordered, hot, and on time. Waitress was very good on our refills both on drinks and bread :) Food as usual was good and cheesecakes yummy. Wish they would bring back the pineapple upside down cheesecake. Lol.

Came for brunch on a Sunday. We were promptly seated and they brought our bread right away. I ordered the chicken and waffle eggs Benedict and my mom got the brûléed French toast. DONOTEVERORDERTHECHICKENANDWAFFLESFRENCHEGGSBENEDICT. The hollandaise sauce was so thick and tastes congealed. It got all over everything and just grossed me out. I barely finished my meal, and even then I was scraping that sauce off of it. My moms French toast was good. It was very thick and sweet, but pretty decent. Overpriced for only two slices but we did enjoy it. I wouldn’t go back for brunch.

Food: B The food here was awesome mostly. We started with the Fried Calamari, and it came with both a garlic aioli and cocktail sauce — super tasty — and I noticed that the squid was very tender. Every time I order fried calamari, it’s usually quite tough — it was ~delish~ here. The aioli, I think, consisted mainly of mayo — not complaining about, since it was SO good — but I wish it had been lighter so I didn’t immediately feel my arteries clog up after taking one bite. Would have loved to eat more of it. The cocktail sauce was a more refreshing alternative. I actually really enjoy fried calamari with marinara sauce, though, so I wish that they had provided that as well. For our entrees we got the Chicken Bellagio and the Herb Crusted Salmon and Shrimp Scampi combo. The chicken dish was a breaded chicken breast over angel hair pasta(with a light pesto?) topped with prosciutto and arugula. My boyfriend loved it, and it came in a large portion. He has a good appetite and didn’t finish it. Can’t say the same about my combo dish, which also came with(a small amount of) mashed potatoes. It wasn’t a huge problem for me since I still barely finished it — I was so full from the bread, appetizer and also barely touched the side of fries that I ordered(so unlike me). The presentation of this dish wasn’t impressive, since the portions were small and it was spaced out over such a large dish. But the shrimp scampi was cooked very well — the sauce was absolutely delicious. Gotta warn you though, if garlic isn’t your thing, I wouldn’t get the shrimp scampi. Luckily, I LOVE garlic. As for the salmon, meh — overcooked IMO. I like my salmon with the center still a bit tender/soft, but it was tough/crumbly. The«herb crusted» part apparently just meant that some herbs were thrown on top of it. It just didn’t look(or taste) that appetizing. A bit disappointing. After dinner, we ordered a slice of the chocolate mousse cheesecake to share, which we’ve had before, and it was super rich and chocolatey. It was very heavy, so I would recommend ordering a tall glass of milk or something on the side. I could barely eat any since I was so full already, but I really wish I could have eaten more of it. Service: A The service here was great — our waitress was very friendly but not intrusive. She was patient when we needed some time to look at the menu, and she was also good with timing — how much time we needed to look at the menu, when to space out our bread, appetizer, and entrees, etc. Our wine was taking a bit due to a backup at the bar, so she was kind enough to give us a heads up so we weren’t left wondering if it was forgotten. She checked up on us to see how our food was after giving us enough time to actually eat a bit(some waiters ask only a moment after setting the food down, and I’m like… I’ve barely touched my food yet…) Timing is a huge thing when it comes to waiting tables. Good timing makes the patrons feel comfortable, relaxed and able to enjoy their meal; poor timing gives customers an experience where they feel rushed, impatient, and/or uncomfortable or even frustrated. I distinctly noticed that she was very good at her job. Ambiance: B This Cheesecake Factory is a part of the Newport Mall. We were seated in the«patio» area, outside the restaurant but inside the halls of the mall. They made sure to ask to make sure it was okay to be seated here. Seems weird since people shopping at the mall walk past you, but it wasn’t that bad. I actually thought that we had a bit more privacy here than we would have inside, where it was super busy. I was a little concerned that because we were kind of separate from the rest of the tables, we would be forgotten(it happens) and the waitress would busy herself with the customers in the main area, but it was totally fine — our waitress was very attentive :) *thumbs up* A heads up, the patio area has patio furniture(wrought iron tables and all weather wicker sofas to sit on which was comfortable). Not everyone’s cup of tea — some people might like the«fancier» vibe inside, but this was totally fine for us, even better since it was quieter and we could have a conversation. Other(Sanitation): C When we were seated, we saw that the table had not been cleaned properly — grease marks all over. After I asked our waitress about it, she sent someone over to wipe it, and the guy apologized. Understandable since the metal that the table was made of made it hard to see whether it was a grease mark or drying water. But what was annoying after that, though, was that they later gave us spoons for our cheesecake(dessert after our meal) that were also not very clean. Both my boyfriend and I took a look at our respective spoons and dipped them into a water glass and wiped them down before we felt comfortable enough to use them… Not ideal, especially after already giving us a table that hadn’t been cleaned properly *thumbs down* Overall, I had a great time here and would come back! :)

My daughter and I agreed it was a four star experience. Nick was waiting on us. He was very good. Our orders were exactly as we selected. Service timely for the most part. My daughter had two small plates. She said she would not get them again. They just were not what she expected. She said food was not bad just a poor choice based on what she likes to eat. She was experimenting. She had the pretzel crusted chicken and loaded tater tots. As for my Cuban Sandwich. I was happy. It was a lot of bread. I had to take half home it was way too filling. Very good though. The cheesecake is always a hit. I’ve had about every one of their cheesecakes over the years. Today’s piece of Chris’s was really fresh and exceptional tasting. Very filling and heavy! I did have a feeling of irritation when I saw wait staff stand around talking to each other in heavy conversation. Especially at times when I needed attention. That is a thing I have about service. I want things timely. I prefer not to linger too long between courses. My daughter was having trouble deciding on a cheesecake to take home. I have to say we could have given off a vibe of needing more time. I still get irritated when I see employees chatting too much. That was never part of my work ethic. My eyes were always around the room to see if everyone was enjoying themselves. In conclusion, the experience was on par with other Cheesecake Factory Restaurants. Considering this was our first visit to this location we were pleasantly surprised. We will be making this Cheesecake Factory our go to place in the future! One note: We were there for lunch at 11:30am on a Saturday. Get there early. When we left at 1pm the place was full.

Great start to our visit — being told there was a 20 minute wait! Yes, il take that! My husband was flying out of Newark so we decided to have a meal at Cheesecake Factory beforehand. We were worried we wouldn’t be able to fit it in, but were pleasantly surprised at the wait time, especially compared to other Cheesecake Factory restaurants that we have been to. We grabbed our drinks at the bar and soon after we were seated. My husband had the grilled chicken tostada salad and I had the Kobe burger. The portions were huge, so we didn’t make it to the cheesecake, but we really enjoyed our meals. My burger had great flavor and was really juicy and I loved the fries! They were so good. Everything on the salad looked so colorful and fresh. We were very full and didn’t even manage to finish! I’m already planning my return already!

Ive heard mix reviews about this location from their initial launch to some reviews on here already. Came by a few weeks ago with some of my favorite amigos and must say we left super full and satisfied. We had about a 10 minute wait before being seated which was a little confusing because it was 2pm on a week day and it wasn’t a full restaurant. We finally sat at a booth really enjoyed that you can look right into the kitchen as they are busy preparing peoples meals. We were greeted by our waiter who seemed nice. We orders some apps and cocktails everything came out pretty good. We waiting a while for our food but at this point we really should have just stopped at apps because we were pretty full. Service was okay nothing majorly great about it. I would definitely come back if I was in the mood for a chain restaurant. Its nice to know that is right at the mall so you know do not have to travel to other locations.

Not different from any other Cheesecake Factory I’ve been to, with the exception of seeming more disorganized. There were tables that were emptied for 20 – 30 minutes without having people be seated there. No wonder there was a half hour wait the day after snowpocalypse… there weren’t that many people, ya’ll just weren’t doing your job right. Again, the wait is EXCESSIVE. I understand this is a fairly new establishment, but it seems like the manager has to step up his/her game. Stop making people wait longer than necessary. It’s in everyone’s best interest, right? I’ve never been to this mall before, and was appalled to find that CF was, really, the only place to go for a drink and some apps to finish off our shopping. Wait, what shopping? Most stores were closed and the stores that the Newport Centre had sucked anyway. The nachos with chicken? NAILEDIT. BEST I’ve ever had — so I’ll give ya’ll a 3. Our drinks(mmmm mai tai) were delicious. I’ve been to the Hackensack CF the most, and that place is noticeably more organized than this place. The bathrooms were fairly clean though and service was fine. The bartender wasn’t that hard to get a hold of.

Everyone always talks about the Cheesecake Factory as if it is this great place so as soon as I seen it was now in Jersey City I made an effort to go. I had such high expectations for this place but sadly I was very disappointed. Service: The wait time was an hour but since the restaurant was new it was understandable. But the wait time also made me expect more… and honestly it was not worth the wait. The waiter was nice and friendly but when I asked her if she could recommend something she said everything was good and they had lots of specialties… umm wrong answer… sigh. The menu was so long I really wanted a recommendation. Food: The Fried Macaroni appetizer was incredible. For my entrée I ordered the chicken Marsala. When it arrived I noticed my pasta was extremely over cooked. I tried to eat it anyway but I just couldn’t it tasted horrible so the waitress took it back and nicely removed it from the bill. I doubt I will return here and am disappointed in my first cheesecake factory experience.
