I’ve grown up in jersey city and have ordered from Vinnie’s for a long time. I’ve never had an issue with the food until my last visit. I ordered the penne a la vodka and the sauce was way too salty, almost inedible. Again, this is the first time that I’ve ever had a problem with the food however I was very disappointed this time around.

I love Vinnie’s. It’s my local pizzeria and I have been going here for years. They have an indoor dining area if you’re interested in a low key date night with someone actually serving you. They also have a separate casual area if you opt to just order your own meal and sit down for a quick bite. Personally, I always do take out. The pizza is great and tasty. I love the shrimp baked ziti platter and pizza fries. There’s just the right amount of cheese and sauce on the ziti. The garlic knots are really good. They charge extra for the marinara sauce on the side though. It’s owned by a nice Italian family. Eddie is adorable with his Italian accent. The service is good and the people are friendly.

Same quality food from back in the day, except with a nice mark up in prices. The renovations doesn’t justify the mark up, if so atleast up the quality in the food and service to go along with everything else.

I usually order from this place for my family’s every other weekend pizza night. between them and Stadium Pizza on Route 440. AND TONIGHT! I ordered my pie at 6:55 PM and its 8:12 PM and my pie STILL isn’t here.
their comment after I expressed my concern and wanted to cancel my order: «Delivery usually takes an hour to an hour and a half.» wait. WHAT?! really? why in the world is-​or better yet WHAT in the world makes a pizza take almost TWO HOURS to be delivered!!! it’s not made of gold.
& to top it off, it’s the max FOUR STREETS AWAY!
I had a few words but I rather spit not be in my food so I left it alone. but NEVVEERRRRRRRRRRRRR again! I’ll take my business to stadium or even better make it fun and we make our own pizza!

Their pizza is amazing!
The pizza always comes Hot and with cheesy and gooey extra yummy cheese! They’re always polite. I don’t know about anything else on the menu but you can’t go wrong with the pizza.

This food is the worst food That I ever tried I used to eat there when I was working at Toyota but now the food is disgusting I order a chicken Parmesan and it was just dread full like someone shit a big turf feed it to a rangoon the Rangoon bomit on the fucking bread and the just rap it up and just gave it to me just a awful, and I call the manager and she is telling me that a 14 dollar shit sandwich she were willing to give me back a dollar do not eat there

We order delivery from them all the time. Their pizza is awesome and reasonably priced. Their crust is so good that sometimes we buy their dough to make our home made pizzas. Great pizza place

I will never visit this place again.
My family has been ordering from here for years. The food isn’t even great but whatever it’s local.
Today my two year old asked for garlic knots all morning. So we decide to take a walk to Vinnies to get him some.
Standing directly in front of the counter ready to order holding a hungry squirming toddler, and two people jump in front of me and order first.
All of the employees see me standing there the entire time. They see the two people walk in AFTER me but take their orders first. They don’t even bother asking me if I’ve ordered. Just pass me up like my business doesn’t matter.
That’s cool Vinnies, I’ll make sure nobody in my family ever orders from you again.
And to top it off, one of the guys who jumped in front slammed the door into me on his way out. What a classy place.

Ordered from here told the driver to wait so I could give him cash tip, instead they tip themselves 20% on my card, they forgot my zucchini sticks, didn’t care about it but still who does that

*white pizza (yum! They were super duper generous with the ricotta cheese; I liked this pie but I think if they lessened the amount of ricotta a little bit it would be more managable to eat haha)
*eggplant rollatini (quite good; I liked the tomato sauce; this dish wasn’t salted enough and it needed some more basil or garlic to give it the kick it needed)
Small, busy hometown pizza and Italian spot. Service is good. Food seems to be consistently good. Would go back to try more pizzas.

While they have slammin’ garlic knots their pizza is meh. They take FOREVER for deliveries, so you’ll be lucky if your food is still warm.

This review is for the pizza alone. Living just a few blocks away, I had always taken this place for granted for decades. After trying the countless and ubiquitous independent pizzerias across the north east (and many in Italy itself), the plain cheese pizza at Vinnie’s III holds up to most.
I never sat down for their dinner menu (I found their latest renovation very garish). Their sides can be rather bland if not soggy, salty and unappealing. However, outside of artisan pizza or some upscale, embellished pie at four times the cost, Vinnie’s III pizza is as good as it gets for a classic slice.

Tonight my family decided to order from Vinnies, normally we pick up at the pizzeria. Tonight we decided to have it delivered instead.
Bad idea, we placed our rder at 7:43pm, food didn’t get here until 9:56pm! I called a few times and was first told the driver was out and it’d be there soon. 25 minutes went by so I called back and was told the order wasn’t finished cooking and it’d be 15 more minutes to cook and 15 more to get it delivered.
Needless to say they gave us a laughable $ 3 dollar discount and a free bottle of soda.
Will never order out here again for delivery.

1hr 20 mins after ordering, no food here. Called and was told that someone just came in and «BOUGHT ALL THE CALZONES» so they had to make them fresh, so they’re waiting on calzones. Ok, it’s been an hour and they’re still not ready? «No because it’s fresh!» Ok how long will the actual delivery take? «20 minutes» (20 minutes from whenever this single calzone is ready mind you)
Ok, is there any way grub hub could’ve let us know that the food was going to be delayed like this?
No all they do is send us your order, they don’t anything after that. The only reason we contact them is if there’s a problem with your order.
That’s absolutely ridiculous. I think 1hr 20 mins and counting for one calzone constitutes a problem with my order.
Never again. NEVER AGAIN.

They could of earned 4 stars for the ease of the online service, prompt delivery, fresh deli meats, fresh and clean spinach, nice delivery guy but it was modified by two things:
#1-​, They forgot the lettuce, tomato and onions that are standard on a sub/​hoagie/​hero
And #2 — when this was brought to the attention of the restaurant they did everything except immediately apologize for their error!
Finally she did and asked if her driver could deliver the missing items. I said, no but thank you.
All is well in Oz now.
I have used them several times more and they have delicious fresh food. They earned an extra star. I appreciate the good service.
