Have not tried the food, but the drinks are good and the band/entertainment is always good. This is an extremely chill bar, not for a crazy night or anything. Has a pool table and you can smoke inside, but as a non-smoker, it’s not too bothersome.

This was my first and last time here. The first turn off was when I walked through the door and discovered that this is a «smoking inside» pub. Because it wasn’t very crowded, it wasn’t overwhelmingly smokey but you could definitely tell that people were and had been smoking in there. The second turn off was the sound system. This is a kareoke bar with one of the worst sound systems I’ve ever heard. They really need to step their game up with the sound system. The atmosphere was a little too dark. They could have turned the lights up just a tad bit more. I’m not sure if they have food or not. It’s a pub, so they probably do but I was not going to eat in a smoke filled room. On a positive note, the drinks were reasonably priced and nice and strong. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of seating at the bar. Overall, I didn’t enjoy my visit too much so I left early. Sad to say, I will not be back.

Imagine driving about on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. You just washed your car and dropped by a restaurant to have a late lunch. Well, after your lunch you hop back into your nice clean car and you’re riding around in Jersey Village with absolutely no destination. And then you see it. Deep in a corner 2 big black doors wide open with a beautiful vase right in the middle of the entrance. You’re curious. Hmm… so you pull over and walk in. After all, it says pub overhead so perhaps it may be a great spot one night. So I walk in and all the interjections started flowing through my mind. Wow, aah, whoa! This place was very nice. Very empty as they just opened at 4PM on a Saturday and much larger than I thought. The bartender there was very nice and very attentive. She made the perfect Jack and Coke as well as an excellent Margarita. She took the time to tell us all about the business and it being called the hidden gem in Jersey Village. She said they never have fights and offered so many different specials at certain times of the week and took the time to even write them down for me. I was pleasantly surprised. And with Karaōke offered on a Saturday night, I knew this was going to be a spot for me to have to try even though they only offered food certain nights and not weekends. I took a number of photos of the place and you can see it’s nice and dark with comfy chairs and just an all around great atmosphere. Like a private social club. They sell cigars and cigarettes so it was clearly a smoke bar and yes, you could smell it in the air. Although I am far from a fan of pubs that allow smoking I knew I had to give this place a try. ANDTHENTHEREWASNIGHT Fast forward to Saturday Night. The lighting was PERFECT. Nice and dark. The drinks… yup still reasonable and mixed great. The music. Sigh. The crowd. What the what?! Ah ha! Now I see! It was clear to me at that point why it was so hidden. Why they never had any problems or bar fights in their history. Simply put… this place was antique. I mean it’s totally… a place for the 60s and up. AND they had Karaōke too!(The Karaōke is on Saturday nights.) The sound system was clearly updated(from the look of it), but the sound from it was as if you were playing from an old wind up record player. And yes. .the DJ was clearly retired and instead of buying a metal detector he bought himself an old Karaōke system to fulfill that lost dream of spinning records at the malt shop. Well Houston. now I know where the elderly parties. It never dawned on me, that they even partied. Well they do. And this is that place. The whole time we were there it was like we were seeing in monochrome. Whenever this place is up for sale… I totally would like to buy it. I would keep it exactly like it is, make it smoke free, allow only 30+ in the door and turn it into an 80s pub. If you are plus 60 and want to party like it’s 1899. this is your spot. But for the younger 25 – 50 crowd… I have to give it 2 stars. Do the Bop and Prosper!

This is a great neighborhood bar with super friendly staff. High back chairs, a crystal chandelier, grand piano and classic movies on the big screen makes a nice alternative to the run of the mill sports bars. If you want to try karaōke in a small friendly environment without worrying about how bad you sing, this is the perfect place to give it a go.

Did not have a good time. I would rather go sit in the SPECS parking lot across the street and drink than go back in this bar.

This is a great neighborhood dive bar. Lots of regulars enjoying karaōke, bar snacks and drinks in a smoke filled bar. They also have Texas hold ‘em games going most of the times I have been there. Shuffleboard is also available. Check it out if you would rather have a drink instead of poking along in 290 traffic after work.
