This is our favorite restaurant for lunch. We are there a lot. I have ordered almost everything on the menu at one time or the other. I have been disappointed. The owner and staff are super.

My new favorite Thai place! I love their Basil Duck and save room for the Coconut Cake! Nice people, great food! I’ve been there several times, and will be back again!

Feeling Thai? This is the place for it. Best I’ve had in Atlanta and several other cities I’ve been to. Ambiance is very nice, fast service — friendly too and clean. I had shrimp Pad Thai and coconut soup. Both with shrimp. Food was excellent and came out quickly. Serving size was appropriate, not skimpy. Price for Pad Thai was a little high, but it the food was so good it was worth it. Been here several times. Never disappointed.

I travel in the SE for business and always make it a point to try a local Thai restaurant. This place was great, the service was fantastic, the food, very fresh and tasty. I had basil roll and green curry. I would highly recommend giving this place a try!

Bai Tong Thai is now my favorite thai restaurant in Johns Creek! The place is clean and sophisticated while the servers are kind and accommodating. We ordered the chicken satay, Tom Kah Gai soup, and spicy basil chicken. I also ordered a thai iced tea. The food was delicious and spicy. The chicken satay was standard. The soup really hit the spot, it was spicy and flavorful. I would definitely suggest this spot for some delicious thai food.

The food was really good. I ordered the drunken noodles based on the name alone and was extremely pleased with the result. The price was within reason and the theme of the restaurant was really interesting. However, I felt as if we were a little bit rushed to order, eat, quickly pay and get out, even on a Monday when the restaurant wasn’t as full. Overall, it was a good experience.

The place is so clean and beautiful. The staff is very helpful and friendly. If you go at lunch, you can get in and out while feeling refreshed afterwards! The food is GOOD! The house soup is very yummy, the peanut curry is delish, and the prices are VERY reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend! Ps– I would like to request they put fried ice cream on the dessert menu. :-)

The food is excellent! The service is quick, despite rush hour lunch, and the ambiance is colorful and welcoming. There are booth options for more intimate seating, as well as open tables, without partitions, and outdoor seating as well. The Thai ice tea and coffee are fantastic though heavily iced, they were finished pretty quickly. The pineapple curry and Penang curries have the same tangy base, with select levels of spice, only the pineapple curry has green beans as well as pineapples, red and green bell peppers. The Penang only has red and green peppers and some crushed nuts. But the amount served is just right.

The service is excellent. I ordered take out and was not expecting the lady to assist me with my order by carrying the bag out to my car. Five star service! The food, however, wasn’t that great. I hate that because the restaurant looked nice on the inside and the service is great. The basil rolls were weird. The sauce was pretty good but I’m used to basil rolls having shrimp or some type of meat inside. Theirs has a thin tempura(?) inside and the basil is shredded. It just wasn’t all that it could be. My massaman curry was just too sweet and I didn’t really enjoy it. I couldn’t tell whether I was eating chicken or pork… That made me uneasy. My coworker said the same thing about his food. The thai teas were very creamy and were just okay.

This is a wonderful little restaurant tucked in a strip mall of restaurant and retail in John’s Creek, book ending this space with Alessio’s Pizza(another fav). The fare is as advertised and delightful. One of the things I really appreciate is giving the customer the choice when it comes to the level of spice. If you enjoy Thai food then this place will quickly become one of your favorites. If you are new to Thai their offering will give a great representation to what this wonderful culture provides. When the weather is nice there is a beautiful patio, fenced in, adjacent to the parking lot. Inside there’s room for about 40, with a relaxed ambience and light music that doesn’t interfere with table talk. Fortunately this gem is right around the corner from home.

We ordered take out and got the food pretty quick as it was a Sunday night with no customers in sight. (5 stars) Eggplant basil tofu is probably the best thing here! Although it was a bit on the oily side, I loved the basil flavor and the tofu was marinated and cooked perfectly. (2 stars) Pad see ew with veggies was a bit bland, it definitely needed more flavor. (4 stars) Vegetable spring rolls were pretty good. The sweet sauce for dipping was watered down which was unfortunate. (3 stars) Panang curry with veggies was okay, not enough flavor since it was watered down as well. (2 stars) Tom yum soup vegetable — was just okay, kind of bland as well, not enough flavor. Overall a decent Thai place. I’m glad they had vegetarian options to choose from. Maybe I’ll try something else on the menu next time around.

I hate to disagree with the majority but this place gets a solid mediocre rating. Tom Yum soup was too sweet and missing both the appropriate sourness and spice. Nam Sod was okay, despite the ground chicken being cooked into way-too-tiny meat granules(I’m not sure how else to describe it). Pad Thai wasn’t bad, but certainly not good enough for me to ever miss it. Basil Duck was drenched in sauce(also too sweet) and did not have any hint of duck flavor at all; if I didn’t know it was duck, I would have easily mistaken it for pork. Overall, a place that can satisfy a Thai craving when desperate and nearby, but I would not go out of my way to come here. Looks like I’ll have to continue trekking out to Thai of Norcross( ).

Love this place. Service was great. My wife is Thai and so I’m very accustomed to Thai food. Though we go to a lot of Thai restaurants, many are just«OK.» The food at Bai Tong is really, really good. I’ve only been once so I hesitate to say that it’s one of the best in town, but my wife and I had 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and a dessert and everything was *excellent*. Definitely recommend you go. We plan to make this a regular place for us. Some details: Prices range from $ 3.50 — $ 9.00 for soups, salads, and appetizers; $ 11 — $ 18 for entrees(for dinner). I was surprised to see that there was a decent selection of wines and beers. And not just Asian beers — I had a Terrapin Hopsecutioner. Nice. We had the Curry Puffs and Nam Sod for appetizers. There were so many flavors in the Nam Sod. The Curry Puffs were delicious too, but maybe the crust was a bit too thick for my wife. My wife had the Tilapia with Green Curry and I had the Basil Duck. We each loved ours the best. The duck was cooked perfectly — crispy on the outside and smooth and tender on the inside, cut into strips. For me, this is one of the 2 best duck entrees I’ve had in the Atlanta area(the other being Canoe, but that duck was prepared completely differently). Finally we rounded out the evening with Banana Fritters with coconut ice cream, whipped cream; and green tea and raspberry sauce in drops on the plate. Wow. Delicious. Though I couldn’t eat much of it by that time. As I said, we’ll definitely go back.

First off, I’m Thai. We stopped in after meeting some friends on this side of town on a Saturday night around 8 pm. There were about 10 tables taken. So GLAD we did! This place is a gem! Wanted to try everything to compare to mom’s cooking. Here is what we had. — Curry puffs. Very good. Enjoyed eating them but thought they were pricy. — Nam sod. This was fantastic and my husband said it was better than my mom’s. I couldn’t get enough. I will order it every time — Tilapia with green curry. Lots of food and very very good! I could not finish it because they give you so much but the tilapia was both crispy and tender. Delicious! — Basil duck. My husband said some of the best duck he’s ever had though he would have liked a little more sauce. — Banana fritters. Served with ice cream. Very good and kind of a small serving which is just perfect since they give you so much on your entrée. Also. Number 1 spicy was plenty hot for me on my curry but my husband said his duck could have been fine with Number 2. Go figure. The staff was extremely nice and helpful(went out of their way to get my door since I’m on crutches). The place was clean though I didn’t go to the restroom. The good came out very fast and steaming hot — a definite plus. All in all, we will be back for both lunch and dinner. I give it my Thai seal of approval!

After driving past this place for years, I finally decided to give it a try for lunch. The restaurant was fairly empty when I got there, but it soon began to fill up. Panang duck unbelievably crispy, sooo flavorful. One of the best preparations of duck I’ve had, and I’ve had many. Curry did a good job of balancing out the rich duck with it’s smooth sweetness. The only lacking thing was the rice, which was too dry. Curry and rice is my favorite combo, but I couldn’t enjoy it this time. Chicken Pad Thai was too sweet for my liking. But the rice noodle was wonderful, very elastic and chewy. I had a lot of fun eating that. Overall, prices reasonable, satisfactory portion sizes, intimate décor, and clean presentation. Food a little bit too sweet in general, but that’s Thai food for you. Baitong is a good deal for a casual dinner. I will come back to try their more savory options.

Just had dinner here for the first time. Very good, will come back again, could use more heat /spice, a bit bland, nice people, pleasant ambiance, relaxing jazz music piped in, good service. Started with the steamed dumplings — very attractive presentation and very tasty, made well. next up was Satay, chicken skewers — very nice presentation also — cooked perfectly, not dry… moist — very tasty peanut sauce and a second vinegar based sauce… lovely Wine — reasonable prices… columbia crest chardonnay $ 7 each glass Chicken pad thai — excellent. could have had some spice. was delicious but needed something Try This — healthy shrimp and chicken dish with brocolli… very good… lite…not too much

As my husband and I were returning home this evening, he was interested in Thai noodles. Since I had passed this place many times and knew that it was on our way, we pulled over. We ordered spicy Pad Thai to go. As we were waiting a couple passed by the host and said good food, and turned to us and said the same. This was their first visit to this restaurant and ours as well. Two additional patrons passed by and again stated that their meal was«good», which is a very nice sign. As we waited, I noticed the restaurant. It had a beautiful chandelier at its center and a very cozy vibe. The seating consisted of very high back cushioned benches that provided great privacy. I would highly recommend this restaurant for date night. Our food was prepared fairly quickly and we were on our way. The noodles were spicy as ordered but not so spicy that all you get is the heat. They were very nicely seasoned with generous amounts of chicken. They added the fresh bean sprouts and lime but I never eat these with my noodles. I just remove them or I will eat the sprouts separately. I’m really excited to return and try some of their other selections. Definitely recommended.

First visit was so nice, had to go ahead and review. We were sat immediately on a Saturday evening by smiling faces, and brought water by our waitress very shortly after. We started with the Tom Kha soup, which we ordered spicy. Glad we didn’t go for«Thai spicy» on this one, as it has a pretty hearty kick in the back of the throat. The precooked chicken in it was a bit dry, but not a deal breaker. Might be in my top 5 Tom Kha I’ve had here in GA. My husband and I shared the Volcano Chicken and Pad Se Ew with shrimp, both ordered spicy. The entrees were awesome! Pad Thai is something I must try at every Thai restaurant, but I’m glad I followed the advice of he other reviews here. Pad Thai will have to wait till next time! The Pad Se Ew was very flavorful and had lots of veggies, which is why I ultimately chose it over the Pad Thai. Perfect blend of soft savory and spicy flavors. The Volcano Chicken was also killer! I could have gone«Thai spicy» on this one, but my hubs thought it was perfect, so it just depends on your palate. I guess the«volcano» bit made me expect it to be hotter. Still, it was amazing! The chicken was crispy without being fried, which I loved. Came with some cabbage and broccoli, an added bonus we weren’t expecting. Overall, a great find! Please come eat here– need to keep this place running!!!
