A friend and I went on a Sunday afternoon. The place was completely empty and now I understand why. I had the burger and a side of wings. Neither were good. It definitely tasted like a microwaved meal. The service wasn’t bad, and I did like the selection of sauces but overall I will not be going back again.

I really want to love this place, but it’s average. My kids and husband like their wings. But nothing they crave and can’t live without it. I wasn’t happy with my fish dish I ordered. I tasted like it came from a frozen meal out of a box and I took two bites only. The atmosphere is nice, staff is friendly, restaurant is clean. It’s child friendly.

Wanted to like this place because it’s close by and always open when I get off work and cheaper than taco mac but I have never been pleased with anything I’ve ordered. All of their fried apps taste like they are a mass produced frozen product and their wings are so small. It’s worth the extra $ at tmac for their large wings, homemade ranch and a lot less children running around.

Nice place I was there yesterday evening and ordered one medium Jumbo wings to go. The food was good, We enjoyed the wings a lot. Initially had some hiccups with the bill, but the owner was so nice to resolve that. Definitely going back there. Highly recommended

Damn. I’m trying really hard to Love this place, but the service fails every time. The drinks r great! Food is to be expected, but today– they were very slow– and the service was still sub par! This is my third or fourth time here. It’s like the manager is not on point. I have a BS in RHIM and graduated w honors– so I know what I’m talking about here. This place is in desperate need of good management!

HORRIBLEHORRIBLE customer service for very mediocre food. Do not go here. You will be terribly frustrated. They didn’t put through an order I called in so I then proceeded to wait 45 min while they fixed it. No apologies. Nothing. They don’t give two sh@ts about their customers.

One of the worst restaurants I’ve been too. The place is actually horrible. I’ve been there about 10 times and each time it is getting worse. The wings are drier than the Sahara desert and all the other food taste like dog food. Plus they decide to put these stupid advertisement sheets on my car window so while I was driving, I couldn’t see and I almost crashed. Worst restaurant ever.

Glad to have this spot in the neighborhood! Great, casual spot to unwind after a long week or to catch a football game. This is often a fun, somewhat loud spot, so perhaps not the place to be if you are looking for a quiet evening. We have visited as a family of three and with large groups and have had great service every time. They have a large menu with something to please almost everyone. Andres was the first staff person we encountered, and he was awesome — he did a great job introducing us to the place and making sure we had a wonderful experience. The garlic parmesan fries are a great way to start. The wings are great(with PLENTY of flavor options you can try in advance), and I find it hard not to order the firecracker shrimp tacos every time I go(although I really want to try some other things). Great kids menu. Always a fun family night for us.

Server was fine. Had the Beach Combo with the Nachos. These were not the same caliber I previously had here. Take stewed tomatoes, add a gallon of water, a few kidney beans, a teaspoon of ground beef, forget the cheese — the sour cream and this is the crap which I was served. I know I’m getting either diarrhea or indigestion after eating this. Regarding the wings — I have had better at Pizza Hut! The Manager came over and advised me the meat topping was chili and that nothing could be done about the lack of meat. I asked for my check. Since you opened this is my 4th visit: 1) horrible service, decent burger and got only 7 hot fries; 2) below average service, decent burger and a small portion of cold fries; 3) SLOW service(restaurant was empty), wonderful nachos, dry overcooked burger with a small but hot order of fries; 4) LOUD environment, better service, poor food quality. Paid $ 20.00 with tip and I’m still hungry! Did not finish my crunchy overcooked boneless wings or my wet meatless chili nachos! With food like this and with a poor history with me I will not be back. There is a reason your restaurant is empty! The question is, does anyone care enough to fix it? The problem is it may be too late! I bet this place is out business in six months!

My son loves the wings. I taste one of the wings and they were pretty decent. I had chicken lettuce wraps and they were weird looking, but tasty. I also had a rice bowl with shrimp and fish. It had wayyyy too many bell peppers and onions so tell them to lighten up on that or don’t get it at all. But it was tasty. The service wasn’t that great. I had to ask for water and she brought me a dirty sharing plate! Yuck She didn’t apologize for the dirty plate but I was super tired and hungry. So all in all it’s an average place with decent food. Prices are ok. I had coupons!

Edit: take that back service went back to the norm. Great service from the staff! Very nice and attentive to your needs. Step up from the first time I’ve been here. They definitely deserve this higher rating I’m giving.

This is a relatively new wing joint on Medlock Bridge and State Bridge in the same plaza as the Regal Theatre. Appetizer– Fried green beans — yummy Because Hurricanes specializes in wings. We ordered– drumroll please! — WINGS! It was hard to decide which flavored to get because most of them sounded deelish! The 4 we selected were: garlic parmesan, raspberry chipotle(my fave!) lemon pepper rub(really appreciated this because I don’t like greasy soggy wings), and jerk. All were great choices. Although we love our wings, we don’t like them still clucking, so we asked for well done, extra crispy– they didn’t cook them enough for my tastes. We didn’t send them back, but I wanted to. They have an excellent beverage selection. The iced tea is really good. They had a watermelon margarita that looked really good, but it was just too hot outside for me to enjoy it. The only reason I did not give this more stars is because our server was very unknowledgeable, inattentive, and slow. All in all, we will probably return– they are several other flavored I would like to try!

If Cheeseburger in Paradise and Wild Wing Café had a kid, you would get Hurricane Grill & Wings. Atmosphere: Large space with a laid-back, beach bar atmosphere, lots of televisions throughout, and a menu that includes over 30 different wing flavors. There is also a patio area. The only negative is that none of the TV’s had sound on, so you couldn’t hear the game. Wings: I loved that Hurricane’s had a sauce bar where you could sample any of the 37 wing sauces before choosing your wings. I went with the Boss flavor which was their signature garlic parmesan blend. The wings may no have been the best I’ve had, but they were still very good. I also liked that you could go back to the sauce bar to get more sauce if you wanted it. Also note, there are many other food options other than wings, but wings are the only thing I tried. Beer: Hurricane had a few different craft beers on tap and in bottles including some local beers such as Jekyll’s Hop Dang Diggity IPA. The selection isn’t huge, but there are some decent options for sure. Service: We had dinner very early so service was excellent at the beginning before more people started arriving. Once it got busier, it didn’t seem like they had enough servers, but our server still did a good job overall. Kid Friendly: As a parent, it’s always nice to find a casual, kid-friendly place where we can grab a beer with dinner while the kids chow down on some food from the kid’s menu. This place is one of those restaurants. If you don’t have kids or like kids, there aren’t so many kids that you’ll be annoyed either. A nice balance in my opinion. Overall: It seems like a great place to eat wings and watch football in the fall if the servers can keep up. I’ll definitely be back again to see.

A guy walks into a bar and the power goes out, completely. This isn’t a joke, but it did lead us to Hurricane. This place was across the parking lot from Twisted Taco and when the power went out upon arrival we decided to give it a try. Unbeknownst to us this is a chain from our favorite bar-hang-out in St Pete Beach FL, albeit not nearly as nice a view. This location is fresh, colorful and reminds you of sitting next to a palm tree at the beach, minus the breeze. The place was dead as we walked in for drinks at 4:00p. 25+ taps on draft, full bar, app & drink specials available. The food is typically beach bar fare from seafood to burgers to a medley of fried trimmings like pickles and green beans. We had our St Pete favorite — a bucket of 5 rums– garnished with lemon, lime, and orange. Don’t judge. Since this was a lite meal we tried the sampler app and nachos. Delish. I highly recommend giving this restaurant and location a try. It’s as close to St Pete as you’ll get and still be north of Hotalanta. Cheers!

I just discovered this place and I am mad I have been missing out all this time! They have wonderful atmosphere, décor and food. They specialize in wings, which are very good. They have a sauce bar so you can sample the flavors before you order. Great variety of sauces too. I didn’t have any drinks but they look delicious. The people were very friendly and enjoyable to be around.

I gave this place a 2nd chance. It had been a year and they were still around. Surely things have changed. Not really. Four of us went to lunch and the food was still mediocre and the service was still slow. We were there for an hour and a half for a party of four ordering off the lunch menu with no substitutions. We sat around with no water refills for a long time. The check took forever. Oh well. Maybe next year?
