So good! Great service. Friendly staff. I love the Rigatoni ala Vodka… i always throw in a chicken breast or two for the extra protein. My kids love the Shirley Temples!

It’s hard to review the food here, because we’ve been waiting an hour and our salads haven’t arrived yet.

I’ve been to a lot of different pizza places but this one just wasn’t good at all. First of all if was a bit pricey, for two kids and one adult our total was $ 45. Which consisted of one pizza and a side of spinach. The pizza was gross, and it honestly made the kids and myself sick. It wasn’t actual pizza and the cheese was so melted it was leaking off the tray. The spinach was soggy and had no flavor. And all 3 sprites were flat. Don’t come here it isn’t worth the money!

The New England clam chowder was buttery creamy goodness! The rib eye steak was delicious, affordable, and cooked perfectly. The roasted potatoes weren’t exciting at all, in fact they weren’t very good. They tasted like bland breakfast potatoes instead of roasted potatoes(I prefer them with olive oil, rosemary or tarragon and garlic). The service is stellar!

Great yummy NY style pizza! I added a side salad with some balsamic vinaigrette and it was a great quick lunch.

A friend and I went out for pizza tonight after work. On the way there, I was wondering why we were passing other pizza restaurants. Once we got there I was very surprised. It was a very cute Italian restaurant. When I saw the menu there were many things that looked good, but we were there for pizza so we got half pepperoni and half supreme. It was very good. I had a top shelf drink, which was $ 9. A little high I thought for the small glass, but seems to be the going rate these days. The waiter was nice and kept a good eye on us. We were never lacking for anything. I will be back to try other items on the menu as well. Very happy we went.

This was a delightful surprise. I got hungry, while waiting for a tire repair and walked out looking for a snack. I came across the Mona Lisa and decided that it had to be better than the Golden Arches. When I went in I was pleasantly surprised to find a down home Italian restaurant with a full menu. I had planned to get a pizza, but I ordered the cheese steak sandwich. I when it came out, it was twice the size that I expected and it was delicious. This is not a pretentious place where you can impress anyone, but if you want to bring your family for a great meal at a very reasonable price, this is the place for you.

Maybe we just showed up on a bad night but my girlfriend and I were underwhelmed with this establishment. Overall the atmosphere is nice and the service was friendly, but the food let us down. My girlfriend started off with their artichoke soup which consisted of only two Flavors, salty and sour. We sent it back and they did remove it from our bill which was nice. We then ordered their house specialty pizza with pepperoni sausage bell peppers and onions and it was middle of the road at best. With an Antico open 15 minutes away from this location I can say without a doubt you’re better off making the trip to the Avalon for what is some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted. We probably won’t be stopping in again.

My fave is the pizzas! They do have really awesome and delicious pizza. It never disappoints. I usually get ricotta, sausage, and basil as my toppings. The garlic bread is also to die for!

Best Italian food in town!!! I have been to this restaurant a few times now and it keeps getting better every time I go. I think it is partly to do with their new server(I think his name was Tim), and all the new specials you can get for lunch or dinner. Last time I went in I got the Philly cheesesteak, and it tasted like it was right out of Philadelphia, it was full of plenty of meat and cheese, I loved it. It is also the only place in johns creek that has authentic New York style hand-tossed pizza that is any good. Yes folks, if you are looking for great homemade italian dishes at a reasonable price(and the best service in town), than Mona Lisa is the place for you. Oh yeah, they have 8 dollar 16 inch pizzas on Monday nights.

Mona Lisa used to be good! Two meals came out over cooked and the portions have gotten smaller. My wife had Chicken Parm and I had Eggplant Parm. Both came out over cooked. Eggplant is so thin that it is tough and cheese was hard. Sauce was OK. That was the last time we will go there. Manager came over and advised that the Eggplant has always been made that way. Offered to replace, however, I don’t eat pasta.

I really did enjoy this restaurant. Until our last visit. My husband and I just wanted some antipasti and cocktails. When asked if we could just sit in the newly renovated bar, we were told no but we could wait for our table there but were instructed they didn’t serve food in there. Interesting as there was a table clearly eating«food» in that section. But whatevs. After watching multiple people be sat that came after us, we asked if our table would be ready yet? «Oh! You wanted a table?» Yes, really… they promptly got us to the next available table where I encountered the most awkward dining experience I have had in a long time. Upon sitting down the very«wired» waiter introduced himself then scribbled his name on our paper tablecloth so hard it ripped it scaring me and began wondering if we’d make it out alive. I calmly asked for the wine list and the antipasti. As he walked away my husband and I looked at one another like, «What the hell just happened!!!» I ordered a bottle of some California red and then our lunch meat arrived. Yes. Lunch meat. Everything on this antipasti came right out of a can or was just sliced from the Kroger down the street. We could not eat it. After the awkward and frightening behavior from the staff and now waiter we decided to cork our bottle of wine and shimmy across the street where we new we could get awesome service and real antipasti. Upon our waiters return we asked for the check and to cork our bottle. This is where is got ugly. Our waiter noticed we had not eaten our antipasti and pressed us for an answer on what was wrong with it. I told him it didn’t matter, we just want to leave and we’ll pay for it. No worries. That was not good enough for this maniac. Lol! He pressed again and my husband told him how terrible everything tastes and that nothing was fresh and clearly just came out of a can. Our waiter said we didn’t know what we were talking about and that the«lunch meat» was sliced in the morning. And nothing came out of a can. He even asked me how long I had been coming there. So weird! Ok! Another whatevs! I’m pretty sure he mentioned it to the manager. Who did not come to our table or clearly care that customers were walking out. Customers of 4 years. I can get past poor food, I just won’t order it again. But poor service is inexcusable. With that being said, I’ve always had wonderful service when the owner was visible. He’s a sweet man, I hope he recognizes who he has on staff when he’s not looking.

My girlfriend and I decided to try this place since it’s right down the corner from my apartment and we were craving Italian. We will NOT be coming back to this restaurant! We come in and were greeted by the host. He was really nice, and directed us to a table in the corner. Our server was Michael, who did a fantastic job and was very attentive and quick with answers to the questions we had. I ordered the Pasta with Bolognese sauce, my girlfriend ordered the Shrimp Parmigiana. My first impression looking over the menu was that it was missing some glaringly obvious selections. What kind of Italian restaurant doesn’t have some sort of mozzarella stick appetizer or LASAGNA? Those are staples of Italian cuisine! Every single Italian restaurant I’ve been to(not just Olive Garden or Johnny Carinos, lol, I’m talking about places like Soto Soto in Inman Park) has had those options. That worried me right off the bat. I ordered a beer, which was refreshingly cold, and we got the rest of our drinks. They brought us some bread which was soaking wet with olive oil and garlic butter. It was so garlic-y that it was almost inedible, and when I squeezed the bread the oil literally dripped out into the bowl. It was disgustingly soggy. Then our entrees came out. The sauce on mine was very bland and the best thing I could say about it was that it was so distinctly mediocre that I wished they had put Ragu on it instead of whatever they called Bolognese. The pasta noodles were overcooked and tasted strange as well. I ate about half of it to justify the $ 14.95 price tag. My girlfriend’s Shrimp Parmigiana was so terrible all she could eat was the shrimp that came on top of it. Her angel hair pasta was dry, and her sauce was so watery that it was pooling in the bottom of the bowl and sloshing around. She ate the shrimps and left the pasta basically untouched because of how bad it was. The best part of the meal was the salad and beer, to be honest. Our table service, however, was superb and I can’t say enough good things about our server. Michael was attentive, ready to bring more bread and refill drinks whenever we needed. He was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. He deserved every cent of his tip! Overall, I very much recommend you avoid this place. It’s not worth the price tag for the food you get. Maybe we should have ordered the pizza instead but as it was, it was awful and we will not be returning.

I remember going to Mona Lisa growing up, and it was more of a «slice pizza» place. Over the years they’ve become more of an Italian restaurant that also has pizza. I’ve never tried their Italian food, but I’ve had the pizza several times. Unfortunately the pizza just isn’t too special, and they got rid of slices(during dinner, at least). Make sure to ask for the garlic knots. Those are always delicious.

Wifey and I were hoping this would be the local«Italian Joint»…but…alas, that is not to be. The food here was just a bit off… we tried a couple of dishes and both were not up to par. I had the fresh pasta with meatballs. When it came out, the bowl it was in was about half full of water… when I complained, the waiter and the chef told me «that is how it is supposed to be»…well…last time I checked, you were supposed to DRAIN the pasta before saucing it. They did, finally, give me a new dish. Interestingly… it might have been better with the water. The sauce had minimal flavor… and it definitely did not seem to be fresh pasta. Wifey had her stand by of Chicken Parm… and found it to be flavorless. Service was spotty… and this dinner was quite costly… not a cheap place.
