I love this Habitat store! I found great furniture(barely used) and kitchen supplies. It is hit or miss for sure. I would recommend checking it out during the week or early on a Saturday. You will need to have time and patience, but it’s worth it! Remember that money spent here goes to Habitat house building, and the workers are volunteers!

Great store and lots to find. It’s a nice balance between a thrift store and antique mall. It’s a wonderful way to give back to the community as well! The store is there to make proceeds to fund building homes for the people in our community. One of the few charities left that is truly nonprofit! It’s nice to know my money is staying local and helping someone in need!

Love this store, it is far from the city but the volunteer staff are friendly and helpful. We have found many items for home and work. Some nice items are priced higher but still less than retail. It is expensive to operate a store even for donated items, rent, utilities etc. Keep up the good work Johns island staff, I will be back soon!

This is the worst habitat store I’ve ever stepped foot in. I understand it’s all donations but some things are better left as trash. It’s over priced for what is available– you are better off going to goodwill where they throw away the garbage. Large household items stored in the back are exposed to the elements and rotting away, literally. I think it’s a great concept but needs a complete overhaul in many ways!

Lots of furniture and used housewares but way overpriced. It would be less expensive to buy new items at some of our local furniture stores than buy used here(unless you are looking for a particular piece or vintage items). Also the woman at the front counter did not greet or thank us or look up from her book. Probably won’t be coming back.

Uh, I thought this was a resale store for us poor folks. Not! It’s very pretty, lots of nice furnishings and even supplies in the back. But try and find something you can afford – go ahead and find something, a lamp, a couch, a chair, hell even a freaking nail and you will see nice fat price tags on it! We were impressed with the pleasant arrangement but forget about affordability. It’s not for low income people. It’s for high income folks who are looking for good deals. Thanks a lot, Habitat. You can bite me.

Great place to go, if you want to pay overprice on high end, used stuff. $ 200 for a tiny end table? $ 800 for a set of two chairs and a small table? $ 100 for a wicker end table with a hole in it? Not for this dude.

Bring your plastic. Holy Jesus this place is super expensive. Found a small end table $ 200. Rocking chair $ 300. Chair for outside $ 500. I think I am still in shock. Should not have wasted the gas to drive all the way down here from Goose Creek. Lady asked if I found everything ok, I told her that the prices were too high … Her response,“ok”. Guess when I can afford to live on Kiawah, I can shop here. Until then I will just buy brand new at Target.

I came here the other day to see if I can score some good furniture. This is a pretty big resale shop, compared to many others I’ve seen. One good thing too is that it doesn’t smell like a resale shop. I managed to find some really nice furniture, but they were either reserved or too pricey. Otherwise, their prices are really decent compared to getting them straight from the store. There was one piece of décor that I really wanted, but it didn’t have a price. I asked what they were charging for it, but they wouldn’t sell it to me unless the price lady had already put a label on it. She was at lunch at the time and wouldn’t be back for another 20 minutes, so I was unable to buy it… no matter what price I offered. Oh well, II’ll be back here in the future to see what other goodies may come up… hopefully that piece of décor will still be there waiting for me :)
