Active Foam Specialists

My husband and I unfortunately went with this company to insulate two rooms off an addition to the back of our home and it was a HUGE MISTAKE! First off the salesman Tom K. was dishonest in telling us after using their green product (which by the way is the most expensive type you can use) our rooms would be toasty warm after this was installed. What a lie. First off the work was done very poorly and sloppy. Second there were 2 guys that came out the first time and one of them was learning from the other. The one guy was «showing him the ropes.» This is something that if not done correctly has a pretty poor outcome. After they lefft about 2 – 3 weeks later it got pretty cold out and we noticed there was some improvement but not $ 3400.00 worth for two small rooms. There was also several pockets that were left unfilled and MANY AIRLEAKS! We called the owner Mike about the several issues we had about the job and then waited patiently for a return call. After 3 calls and an email he responded and said he was quite busy but would correct the mistakes. In the meantime we had 2 other companies come out to see the work they did for a second opinion. And our concerns were confirmed. They did return almost a month later to fix what they could and then informed us we owed another $ 300 that the salesman Tom incorrectly quoted us. Need I say more? To make a long story short the second time they came out the work was no better and the owner seemed quite put out that they had to return. We are going with another company that we have heard several good things about for our other two rooms that could use the foam insulation so we will post a review of that company this fall. I would NOT send anyone to active foam even if I really disliked the person. A big waste of our hard earned money.
